Bought this pack several months ago and have been very impressed with the fit and function. Hauls loads easily and does a great job with packing additional gear in the load shelf. Great pack

This pack is well built and really comfortable. With the three zip system, it's easy to get in and out of the entire pack, instead of just having the top opening. The waist belt and shoulder straps have really thick padding and is one of the best fitting packs i've ever had. The ability to separate the pack from the frame for extra carry capacity is really nice to have. This is my favorite pack and will get lots of use.

I've had 3 hikes with this pack (8, 5, and 4miles) loaded less than 20lbs. I did have 2 full nalgene silos in the pockets. Had some initial adjustments to make due to hip soreness. Once adjusted carry was great. Have a 14 miler coming up, planning 25-30 lb load. I have no concerns. I may try out the overload feature on that hike.

I bought this for 3 day section hikes. I have a lot of "ultralight gear" but dislike super lightweight packs. The 50L comes in around 5lbs and is super comfortable once you figure out how to adjust it. I used it once in a late season hike, carrying heavier loads than i normally would, and it remained super comfortable. The hipbelt rules. Im a 34" waist and have room for 2 good sized molle pouches on each side. The side pockets are great for water bottles.
I love the 3 zip. It makes it easy to get stuff from the bottom of the bag..
Only cons are - it has no drag handle. I don't like grabbing it by the top of the carbon frame. I emailed mystery ranch, they assured me it was safe to do so. But I personally dont feel comfortable doing it.
The bag isnt expandable, 50L is 50L, it felt smaller once i started filling it. Once its full theres no roll top closure or anything you have to get it to zip. I was used to overstuffing USGI molle rucksacks.
There's lots of webbing on the pack but it felt limited. Maybe I've just got to play around and figure it out. The vertical rows feel less useful, i wish it had more horizontal webbing. Its an expensive pack, i dont know how I feel about modifying it
Overall its a great pack. It does what I need and my complaints are minimal. Im working on modifying a MR pack lid from one of the terraframe hunting packs to fit this pack. It'll be nice for those cold weather hikes where i need just a little extra space for clothing.

Only done one trip thus far, but that was a week of backpacking/back country camping around CO & UT. Did around 10 miles a day.
Did 2 days hiking with stuff packed in an ozone scent crusher on the overload, the rest without it.
Outfitted mine with a hip bag, a ripstop, and a surplus admin pouch.
Comfort, access to goods on this pack are superb. Thus far no issues from a durability perspective but this only has 1 trip under its belt. Fabric and features seem of good quality, so I anticipate many years of use.
The only hitch I was about the frame; because it juts out higher than the top of the pack when it's got contents removed and relatively 'sharp', I snagged the mesh on my tent in Canyonlands. The ants coming in and biting me let me know to go ahead and grab that duct tape. Not really anything the manufacturer needs to do, just part of my transition from a different design.
Oh and last if you use the overload feature be mindful if you carry a reservoir, your line will have to be longer to drink while carrying. I was able reroute it and clip high on the shoulder to get a drink, but you may want to test this on your design before hiking out to ensure it works for you.
I added a few photos of my capacity test, my pack I out there.
My dimensions - 5'10" 140 lb female. Fits perfect.

Purchased this for a multiday hike my wife and I were going on in order to carry all our gear, couldnt be happier with it. The quality of the seams, comfort carrying about 60lbs of gear, and easy access pockets up top were exactly what I was looking for without a bunch of random pockets that wont be used.

50L is the perfect size for everything I do. So, I picked this up to replace my Sawtooth. I've got years and many miles on the Guide Light MT frame with the Pintler, Sawtooth and Beartooth bags and the comfort under load and durability of this system is amazing. The Terra is no different and just happens to be the perfect size for what I carry most often and the 3 zip style that I prefer.
The only con I've found is there are no loops above the hydration sleeve to clip the quick-attach zoid bags. I'm sure that's mentioned somewhere, but I already owned the zoid.
I'm 6' 190lbs with a 36" waist and the LG in the current sizing system is perfect for me, regardless of the layers I'm wearing.
If you're on the fence about this ruck or any of the guide light MT frame packs, I highly recommend them. I'm in the woods about 180 days a year for work and also use these packs in SAR work while at home and they shrug off the abuse and carry loads very well!

Solid bag. Probably should have gone with the 65 liter in hindsight but that's my own fault. The overload feature is a life save though. Simple enough that even I could figure it out too which is a huge plus. Solid waterproof as I got caught in a downpour followed by a snowstorm on a recent overnight venture. Shoulder straps were comfy with a 35lb bag on my 155lb scrawny self. Waist straps dug in pretty rough after about 7 miles but that's probably cause my flat rear end.
A plethora of tensioning straps on the bag really come in handy and it has plenty of versatility to strap additional items to the outside of the pack.
Overall, would highly recommend to anyone in the market. As my buddy would say, why simply survive when you could thrive?

I have not had a chance to get any hard use with my backpack yet but it feels extremely comfortable with it sized properly and the materials they used seem top shelf. I have no doubt it will hold up to any abused I can throw at it but I will try to update this review if anything comes up.

Absolutely THE MOST COMFORTABLE backpack I have ever worn - bar none. The MR adjustable torso length, coupled with the super comfortable waistbelt system, completes a truly custom, individualized, perfect fit to your body. The tri-zip feature on the pack itself is superior to ANY other pack I have ever used; 100% total accessibility to anything, anywhere on the inside. Rugged and durable, this pack will last me for the rest of my life.

I bought this specifically for rucking. I heard someone mention the terraframe on a podcast about being a quality pack for rucking. Just returned from my first ruck of 4 miles with a 50 lb sandbag in it. Worked great and the shoulder pads, hip belt were awesome! No discomfort at all one adjusted for my body. I was skeptical about spending this much on a pack when a Jansport would probably suffice but I'm glad I did.

I bought this last spring and waited impatiently to use it on this year's Elk hunt. Day to day it Carrie's everything you need and winches up tight and the load is close to you back and we'll rested on the hips with just with just enough on your shoulders. I'm 5'2" at 150 and when we loaded the 6x5 bull elk I carried about 45 lbs of meat in the expansion area and hiked out 1.1 miles at 10,500ft. This is a perfect fitted pack and I love it. I also added my rifle to the load and walked out with walking sticks. Highly recommend this style and get it custom fitted to your body size.

This pack has everything you could want for a hiking / hunting setup. Plenty of room for whatever you need and the overload feature is perfect for when you need to hike out an animal from the backcountry.

Love the pack. The only think I'm not crazy about is the grey colored frame. Wish it was black.

Pack fits great, distributes weight well, and has easy yet secure access to the inside. I like that the waist band can be modified to be tucked out of the way if it's not needed.

This pack can do it all. Can carry anything and is comfortable while doing it. Load out shelf carry's chainsaws and tool for trail building or animals well.

Replaced a 15 year old 55L pack that is no longer available with this pack - the Terraframe 3-zip 50L. The 3 zip has amazing access and packs easily. Excellent carry when loaded! Really comfortable and the overload zone on this makes it the most versatile pack I have ever owned. I have packs from 30L to 80L, this pack could likely replace them all. The adjustability is also fantastic.
