These are my first pair of hiking boots and I love them! It's April 2020 which means walking in the woods is just about the only thing to do for fun outside the house! I had been wearing sneakers to some local trails but they just weren't cutting it. I feel much more stable and secure in these boots. They are very comfortable, have great support, and fit perfectly. I have "problem feet", including bunions and plantar fasciitis, but these feel like a dream. Not too heavy either. And I can wear them with thick or thin socks and they still feel comfortable. I purchased 2 other brands of boots to try on and these were the clear winner immediately. I've worn them about 3 times and they kept my feet dry even after going through some really muddy, watery areas.

I ordered 6 different pairs of hiking boots and these were the most comfortable. I definitely like but don’t love the way they look. I ended up keeping these ones for hiking, and clearing heavy brush on our property and kept another style for when I just want to look cute in hiking boots! For size reference, I’m a 39 in Birkenstocks and generally a 9 in most shoes but in these I’m a 9.5, to leave room for swollen feet and warm socks.

I am a weekend warrior. i am always working in my yard or on the house. i needed a boot to keep up with the abuse. these have passed the test. wore these for 2 days of mulching without break in period. my feet didn't hurt at all. these are light weight, waterproof, and comfortable.

I originally really loved the fit... and then I went for a walk. The insoles in these are terrible - like cardboard - and kept feeling like it was cutting into my arch. I expected better from Merrell, and for the price. I tried to fit an insole from my old boot, but it made the shoe too tight, so they're being returned.

Very happy with these. Super lightweight and lots of cushion. I found them roomy and slightly bigger than true to size. I have a wide foot and they fit great in that aspect. Some may have to size down but overall great purchase.

I liked the look of the all gray boot with fun mint color laces. It feels like it has decent arch support. But the bellowed tongue made these really uncomfortable for me - where the tongue attached to the sides rubbed and dug into my ankle just trying the boots on. May not have been a problem if I went up a 1/2 size but then I'd need super thick socks for the rest of the shoe to fit.

Loved the look but that's about it. They fit very very loose. I had to cinch the shoe laces up tight just to keep them from flopping on my feet like clown shoes.

I almost didn’t buy these because one of the reviews said that it had very poor ankle support. Boy, am I glad I went ahead and took a chance and did buy them! I had a tendon snap in my ankle and after surgery I now essentially only have one tendon in my right ankle. I needed a shoe with good ankle support. These are great! No break in period needed, perfect fit, good looking, and great ankle stability.

The color is a lighter than it looks in the picture... but a great looking shoe! This is my second pair of Merrells. The size is consistent between both pairs. I normally wear a 9M; but in these I take an 8 1/2M. The quality is excellent. Like my first pair of, these are so comfortable right out of the box! I love that they came with a second set of laces (gray) for a different look.

I'm very happy I took a chance on these. I wasn't going to due to lack of a finger loop on the heel, but everything else is great. The foot opening seems big enough that you can get it on fine without the finger loop. My normal shoe size is 9 but a 9 1/2 in hiking boots. The 9 1/2 in these are perfect with thin to medium hiking socks. Would take some breaking in before a thick wool sock. They come with the bright laces pictured, as well as gray laces. I prefer the gray laces but love the option. Comfortable out of the box, little to no break in time. Grip seems good. I cannot comment on waterproof ability yet.

Very comfortable. Plenty of room. I normally wear a Wide width but the Medium width in these Merrill’s is fine. Great support and comfort.

These fit perfectly. I have small feet (6.5), short toes (so a wider-ish foot), and a high arch and they fit like a glove. The arch support is what really sold them for me as it is hard to find. I was surprised, however, by the color (Brindle) which looks like a tan color in the photos. They are more like a dove grey - just like the color of the nylon and laces. I was disappointed at first but the color grew on me and they just fit so well that I had to keep them. I've work them on a few walks (no big hike yet) and they feel great. Arch and ankle support and not too cumbersome or heavy. Just right.

Great fit, true to size! I like that these boots felt supportive but not too heavy. Wore them on a 4 mile hike the day I got them and were very comfortable; they did not need broken in at all.

I do not hike - so I can't comment on that - but wear waterproof boots for working outside. I have other Merrells, but this boot is very heavy. The toe box is very wide even for my feet which require a wide toe box.

These were a great pair until the seam busted. Only worn a handful of times but definitely not durable. Since it’s been just over 6 months I was able to get a credit of $15… definitely not going to purchase these shoes ever again.
