fit is true to size, very comfortable with great arch support. I have lower back issues but love to be outdoors on the move. The chameleon line allow me to roam with much less stiffness in my back. They also last, seemingly forever. I have a pair that I have worn daily for years. I wash them in the washer occasionally and they still look new. I bought 2 more pairs (different colors) when they went on sale. These are my favorite shoes/boots by far.

Do not wear them on wet surfaces. Wore them to Disneyland Resort for a big family vacation during a mild rain and slipped and fell on my rear twice in front of my grandkiddoes. After bragging for years about my Merrell shoes I am pretty pretty disappointed.

I love Chameleons, Ive worn them for years and this pair continues a comfortable and dependable tradition. I recommend them highly and use multiple pairs.

Ive owned about 6 pairs of these over the years. All sized the same; this pair looks long and skinny, a bit odd compared to my old ones. I mainly use them to slip on for errands or a short walk. The exterior of the shoes and sole wear well and last a long time. The interior of the shoe at the heel seems to wear out pretty quickly. I like the look and feel; just wish the interior of the show was a bit more robust.

Ive worn Merrills for years and have loved every pair, until these. They squeak when I walk. I thought they would wear in after a few days, but after two weeks of wearing every day, they are getting worse. I even tried replacing the insoles, to no avail. They seem more like cheap department store shoes than the kind of quality expect from Merrell

Been buying each version of these shoes and these are more like the Chameleon 6 that I love. Very happy with this purchase and would buy again.

Would have given 5 stars but i wear a size 15 and they don't offer a wide width.

I love the look and feel of these shoes. However they have started making noise after wearing them a few times. Its a crunching sound that comes from the heel of the shoe I tried the baby powder trick and also changing insoles but no luck. When removing the insole you can feel a gap between the inside heel of the shoe and the sole material. Im assuming thats what causes the noise but theres no way to fix that. I want to wear these more often but the noise makes that hard to do in more quiet situations. You can also feel the crunch when you walk so thats a little off putting.

Great product as always. Phenomenal. I have no doubts this shoe will last a long time. I broke them in at Disneyland and didnt experience any discomfort, blisters, etc., even after walking over 22,000 steps. Thank you.

This is an extremely comfortable shoe. I wore them everyday on a trip to Alaska last Spring. It didnt matter if I was wearing them hiking, driving, or even on a 7+ hour train ride, they performed and felt great for all activities

Wears very well. Little difficult to slip on. Walk them into the ground.

I liked the version before better but these are still great shoe's. I hardly wear anything other than Merrell's.

It was nearly perfect except for the pull lace which was too long and would get caught on things like my emergency brake pedal.

Soles a little slick when walking on wet blacktop. Was walking on grade that was wet from rain when I suddenly slipped and about fell. Great shoes when not walking on wet pavement.

Size is accurate. The padding is not sufficient for me so I purchased a 3rd party foot souls and it made a big difference.

This is my second pair. Upon arrival I remove the stretch laces put in regular non stretch ones and reach for the shoe horn which these shoes should come with. These shoes are decent trail shoes with a very stiff heal counter that keeps my shaky left ankle in line.

Great fit, but a little noisy. The Chameleon 8 stretch has quick lace up as a slip on that adjusts for a snug fit. They are comfortable for all-day wear. Sometimes they sqeak and sound like your stepping on water.

nice looking and comfortable but the bungee system was hard for me to make them release to get off my feet almost got a knife to cut the strings. the Vibram bottoms are great I walk through a paved lot to get into work then i am on cement all day and when it rains my feet never slip. love this color too.

Had a pair of Chameleon 3 stretches for years living in TX. Loved them. Now in CO, I've had the 8s for 6 weeks, hiking/walking 4-7 miles/day. Still incredibly comfortable. Knocking off a star for the lace system, though: Both broke (one in the first 2 weeks). The dog doesn't care, but makes them look a bit ratty. I'd recommend for spring/summer/fall light hiking and walking. But minuscule ankle support and lack of insulation means I'll be putting them away by Oct.

I was able to get my Chameleons right before we left for Montrose CO. They were perfect!!

Wanted a good pair of daily walking shoes for road & some gravel. First impression was these were well built shoes and not heavy. The interior is a stretchy membrane. The shoelaces are just cosmetics. I have not tested these being waterproof, but I hate wet socks & shoes. So far, I am very impressed with this shoe. It fits true to size and is comfortable. The soles are raised much like Astro turf shoes but feels good. Definitely recommend these. Pls note, my review usage/purchase is based on more walking the neighborhood.

Great shoe. Good arch support. Feel way better than most shoes on feet wile hiking.

Very good shoe: well made, fits to size, comfortable from the first wear. The only thing that keeps it from earning five stars is that it isn't the old Chameleon Prime Stretch, which was sturdier, had a better sole, and was amazingly easy to put on.

The small black stop in the middle of the shoestring tightening device can pop out. Although not difficult to pop back in it is small and hard to find on the floor.
