So comfortable, attractive and extremely durable. I'm rough on shoes and usually wear out the soles in 6 months easy. I've put these Chameleon 8's through their paces as an everyday shoe. The treads have very little wear and still hold a good stance after a year. I'm so happy I tried them, they are the best shoes I've ever worn. And when they finally need replaced, I will definitely replace them with Chameleons from Merrill.

This has been my favorite shoe I've ever had. I am a letter carrier for the USPS and walk 7 miles/day in any weather. These were the shoes for the job! Please bring them back.

This is a great hiking boot. One of the best hiking shoes i have owned. Wish I had bought a few more of this shoe. Very comfortable. Fits great

I had foot surgery and needed a boot that would offer me the best support. Th boot is really stiff, which is exactly what I needed. It gave be the support and stability to keep healing. Interesting, I also bought the pair in black, and they are not nearly as stiff. I'm not sure this boot is for everyone, but for me, it was and is perfect.

Great boots! Needed some breaking in. Getting more comfortable every day.

The boots have been great so far! I walked 30mi for the "50 For The Fallen" ruck March on September 11 through NYC, with three 15+ mile train-up rucks. And even after all that mileage, I haven't had one blister or boot malfunction. Great product so far

I just like wearing my Merrells. The Chameleon 8 is my favorite shoe.

Bought these as my primary hikers for wet weather in Michigan where I live because of the mid height and waterproof construction. Recently vacationed to Central Oregon where I am from and hiked to the summit of South Sister which is 12.4 miles out and back with 5000ft elevation gain. Every type of terrain from sand to volcanic rock to loose scree. These boots handled it all without difficulty! I had just assumed that 12.4 miles would cause blisters or pain of some kind regardless of shoe, but I made it up and down the mountain with not a single blister or painful area of my feet! These shoes were solid the entire time with great support. High enough that there was only minimal sand or rocks in them even though i was without gaiters. I dont usually leave reviews, but I felt I had to as impressed with these boots as I am. Highly recommend them!!

Very comfortable and is true to size. I would highly recommend this for any one looking for a solid hiking boot.

Great Shoes for long hikes, light weight, waterproof

I love the look of these boots. My favorite aspect is the footbed. It just feels perfectly supportive under my feet. (Of course, different people may perceive this differently because their feet aren't shaped exactly like mine.). The upper is a bit stiff but I expect it'll break in over time. My primary use so far has been hiking on the beach. Because they're waterproof, I don't worry about waves coming onto the beach and getting my feet wet. I'm very happy with the boots and plan to shop for a low top version.

I'm a big Merrell Fan and I needed some boots to work in but I needed them to be comfortable and supportive. These fit the bill very well. haven't had them long but they are comfortable right out of the gate. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought these after Christmas and have only been able to put 20-30km on them so far. They are definitely stiffer than any previous pair of Merrells I have owned, but the footbed is the same comfortable support. Great traction on everything except smooth ice so far, and have been waterproof. I used a waterproofing spray on them as I cannot get Sno-Seal locally (I intend to use it when I can get it online). So far I enthusiastically recommend them.

They feel great. I had the same model and they lasted 2+ years. Now this shoe is made even better. All nubuck instead of only certain parts. And the seal around the edge of the upper is different now. Its not rubber, some other material. Better
