These shoes came with no insoles in them. I added some insole from another pit of shoes and they are bearable for a secondary pair of shoes for work. I am on concrete and pavement for 8 hours a day and feet are usually hurting before I get off work. Will not be going back for more.

I have been wearing this shoe for about a week hoping it would break in and start to feel better but it isn't. These shoes run smaller than expected and my big toe is cramped at the end of the shoe. Buy the next size up if you buy these shoes. I only buy New Balance as I do have a wide foot but this shoe doesn't work for me.

These shoes are really lightweight. Fit just like they should. Of course, New Balance is very consistent with their sizes across all shoe styles.

I tried the shoe for a day and discovered that the back of the shoe tilts to far inward and causes friction above the heel.

I have a very hard time finding shoes to fit my very wide foot so I decided to try men's shoes for work. Well let me tell you these fit so nicely and feel like a nice sturdy shoe. I personally don't feel like they are super cute but I run around a warehouse for 11 hours so comfort is more important that cuteness! Great shoes!

I'm a postal worker so the toe protects my feet from falling boxes, etc. But comfortable enough to do 15 miles walking/day in

I wear these shoes everyday for work. There was never a break in period as they were comfortable from the start. They seam to be well made but have only had them for a few weeks. So far I love them.

I use them pretty much exclusively for work shoes. They are industrial friendly & at the same time very comfortable. Can't say I have any negative comments about them.

I sent back two other styles that killed my feet. This pair not only does not hurt but actually, miraculously, feel better than my regular athletic shoes. So happy. I work at an Amazon Fullfilment Center and we are now required to wear composite or steel toe shoes.

I am a floor mechanic for a EMS helicopter maintenance facility. And I'm on my feet for most of the work day. These are comfortable durable and well made. Their not as heavy as work boots. And the soles are almost as comfortable as my New Balance running shoes. They come in extra wide. Which is nice. The guys I work with, have noticed and asked about them. I would recommend these to anyone, that stands on their feet most of the day. I'm not disappointed. And I don't think you would be either.

Was developing foot issues from having my feet crammed into steel toe shoes. These give my feet the extra room they needed to spread out and be most comfortable. They are a little heavier then I would like but I will take the weight over being cramped anyday.

When you wear a size 15 4E finding shoes is next to impossible! This is the 2nd pair of these that my feet have been blessed by, I am a HVAC-R tech / Plumber by trade, and I recommend these to anyone who needs a comfortable durable pair of work shoes! The composit toe is by far my favorite part of these shoes, when you're always working on heating systems it seems like being on your knees is just a way of life, these shoes are very comfortable no mater what position you end up working in!!!

This shoe fits great. I have always hated safety toe shoes because they always cause calluses. These have enough room in the toe box that doesn't happen. This is the only shoe I have found that has this kind of room.

You can't find good work shoes in extra wide sizes from anyone else. I bought 2 other work shoes this past month and by end of month i could barely walk they hurt my feet so bad. I decided to order these New Balance work shoes and my feet love them. They wide, and the composite toe does not squish my toes. The sole isn't so hard on my heels. Im done trying to think other name brand work shoes will work for me... New balance or nothing from now on.

Very uncomfortable!! I wear wide shoes and I ordered wide. I would have needed extra wide. After only wearing them 3 days (10.5 hrs/day), I was limping due to my left small toe hurting so bad from these shoes. (See photo) I would not recommend them. New Balance are great shoes and company. These however missed the mark!

My Zappos New Balance 589 ESD 11.5" 4E fit perfectly, especially the wide and tall toebox. Initially I didn't purchase insoles because I have a small inventory of them that fit the New Balance 847 and 870 models. But I'd definitely get a cushy insole one way or another. NB does a great job for me.

I love my new balance 589 ESD. They are so comfortable and light weight I was worried since they had a composite toe they would be heavy but in fact they are light weight and keep me feet cool and comfortable all day long. Very good arch support and I need a wide and the width is prefect. Overall 5 stars ?

I've been struggling for five plus years with feet issues. OSHA requires proper footwear to be on the plant floor. I found a pair of composite toed sneakers that works will with my orthodontics.

I liked the looks of the shoe. The shoe was long enough for the size listed. I wish the shoe was just a little wider for my insole fit. I am happy with these shoes and am happy with the removable insole . Thanks!

I wear them to work 10 to 12 hour days on concrete floors. The lighter weight of the composite toe as compared to steel is really nice.

I use these shoes for work and , I am pleased with them , they are light weight and are sturdy . The only thing I would request is for a thicker insole for more cushion for long hours working .
