I really love this rain jacket, which has other uses as well. It's not that loud, crinkly material, so this works well for a spring (or fall) jacket, not just for when it's raining. It does run big; I usually wear a size xl in the North Face brand, and I ordered xl, but I really could've gotten by with a large. Luckily it has elastic cinch waist, so it gives some shape and doesn't look like a baggy box on me. However, with the extra room, layering is possible, which is a great thing about it running a touch too big. Sleeves are a tad too long, but nothing I'd complain about. The material is soft and breathable, a bit thicker material, unlike the Resolve 2 or Venture 2 rain jacket, which is more thin and plasticky to me, for lack of a better word. Overall I'm really satisfied with this jacket and would definitely recommend it. If I buy it in another color, I'd most likely order one size down from my normal size, though.

I bought this coat for the sole purpose of it being a raincoat. It's so adorable and fits fantastic that I now want to wear it for every day use. I'm 5'10, 38C, waist 30/31 size 10. I am usually a Large in everything but the size guide recommended me to get an extra large. I'm glad I didn't. I have enough room in the shoulders and enough room to wear a fleece under the jacket for cold and rainy days. The arms and jacket length are long enough! I feel so cute when I put this on. I bought the yellow and everyone complimented the color in the first 5 minutes of me wearing it!!

This jacket fit me true to size. 5'3" 135lb and ordered a small in black. Very classic look. The material is great quality. It's a perfect jacket for rain or fall weather.

The grey is a very pretty color, goes with anything. The jacket runs large. I am typically a medium but sized down to a small with room to spare. Wish there was a hood as it would keep my head dry along with the rest of my body in the rain.

I am very happy with the Westoak City Trench. I tried the L and XL.
I decided to keep the XL as it would be more comfortable if a sweater
was needed underneath this trench.
This jacket is machine washable.
I found the adjustable sleeves with velcro to be a plus.
Thank you Zappos for your excellent customer service!

I am 5'1" (155cm) and 125lbs. I am XS on loose style sweaters at Gap/Banana and size S fitted style tops. Size M or 29 pants and jeans from gap/athleta. When I get sporty brand jacket like this or adidas, S fits ok around chest but tight to zip around the hip. So I went with M on this and it is roomy all around with just Tshirt on, and just right with sweater layer added. I like the straight silhouette which makes me look more slim. Not paper thin like windbreakers, it can be a light jacket by itself. Definitely love the look and cant wait to use it next week when another storm is expected.

Love! I'm a size 4-6 on top, 4 on bottom, 34D 5'3" 120ish lb and bought both a size S and M. Honestly the two sizes both fit (tried on with a sweater underneath)- I ended up going with the size M because when I cinched the waist on the S it didn't really make a difference. When I cinched it on the size M it enhanced the trench shape and looked more appealing.
Pluses: 2-way zipper with snaps, hood is packable at the neck, nice fabric doesn't feel super-technical but is waterproof
Minus: wish it had an interior breast pocket, sleeves slightly too long (in both sizes) but tightening the velcro cuff to alleviate is fine for me

This is by far, my favorite North Face jacket to date. I own several. I love that it covers my bum. I'm a runner so I appreciate that aspect. This is great for both casual wear and athletic activities. The sleeves are a bit long so I rolled them up once perfect! I ordered a large knowing the waist cinches with a draw cord to be let out when layering for cold runs. I love how the hood is easy to pull out and put back no buttons, snaps or velcro to mess with. It has a very attractive feminine cut. Pockets are perfect and in all the right places. I like the zippered hide a pocket up top for my cellphone. 5'7 160 lbs

Great jacket for CA where it doesn't get too cold, but is warm enough for winter and rain. I even wore it in the mountains with snow with a sweatshirt underneath and it was perfect. I'd buy it again. I am a L but bought XL to wear winter clothes underneath, but I don't think I would have needed to go up a size.

Yellow is my color! I usually wear a Large (12/14) and after reading the reviews and noting that many reviewers states it "is true to size", I can definitely agree. I'm 5'4", 165lb and I'm not on to wear things that are snug. The size guide also recommended Large This jacket fit perfect. The sleeves are a little long such as when wearing with arms down, it goes right to my finger tips, but I'm fine with that. It has room to wear layers when needed and the zipper is large to wear it won't snag. I would definitely recommend.

Fits me a little small in some places and longer in the arms. It will do the job, as for style North face makes like 4 different types of jackets. It is a nice solid jacket, will do the job.

I bought several North face jackets in S and M as I wear both shirt sizes but S was definitely better. This one has great soft fabric and I like the length (I'm 5'3"). The zipper is hard to get started and the sleeves are long on me, but I am still very happy.

Very stylish! Perfect for protection in Chicago spring rain. Can layer with for colder temps. Medium for a typical size 6 flatters well and leaves room for layering. Lastly LOVE the teal color!

The perfect truly waterproof raincoat. Lightweight, easy to layer underneath (armholes not too tight!) and the hood isn't so big that it hangs over my forehead. Road tested in Seattle. True to size.

Perfect spring or fall jacket. It doesn't look like a rain coat so you can wear it anytime, but is waterproof and blocks the wind. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs. and the medium fits well with plenty of room for layers, length is perfect.

This is a very high quality and functional raincoat for my needs! I love the cinch feature and hood connected to the jacket. I have been waiting for it to rain, so I can have the opportunity to wear it again!

Love this jacket. I was thinking the only thing missing from making this a great jacket was a s secret inside zipper and guess what- this one is so nicely hidden I didn't even notice it the first time. I love how warmly lined the pockets are and how the hood ticks and folds in. The water repellency is good. The hood is not large and spacious and perfect for rain and wind. It protects your neck good. It's also thin enough and spacious enough for a thin puffer or sweater underneath for warmth. I got a small but it's spacious kinda bigger but in my opinion perfect for multiple situations!

I usually use this jacket while it's raining or it's about to rain. The colour and quality of the jacket is much better than I expected and it's absolutely worth every penny!

I love this raincoat. I've had my previous North Face rain jacket for 10 years and wanted something a bit longer. This fits well without looking like a sack (I'm curvy). I love that it's rain proof but has a softer material so it doesn't feel like wearing a tarp.

This coat is great for the price. The color is vibrant, and the jacket is comfortable. It runs a little bit big so you can fit a sweater under it if need be, but not big enough to size down. There's room to move around in it. It could use pit zips and a cap brim on the hood, but the jacket is light enough that that isn't a deal breaker. The only thing is it has these weird internal hood closures, and if you don't know how to use them, it will take you a second to figure them out. Also, the embroidered logo in my opinion should have been the same color as the jacket. The white can get dirty so fast, especially since this is meant to be worn in the rain (so possible mud). Besides that, I would recommend this jacket, absolutely. Would probably give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
