Wow. This is my first pair of Altra sneaks and they’re hands down the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I love the extra room in the toe box and the super grippy sole. I’ll be buying more.

Best for wider toe box. Tried Solomon and many other brands....by far this is the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned!! Great grip on hills, absolutely no slipping!

These are the most comfortable running/trail shoe I have ever worn. For me they are a perfect fit, nice wide and high toe box, just enough stability, cushion, and arch support. Ive been wearing them for about three months, I even use them periodically for hiking short distances. I can no longer run long distances but I walk no less than seven miles daily. There was no break in period at all for me, they were perfect right out of the box. I was looking for a new hiking boot and was so happy to find the Lone Peak hiking boot but with a more rugged sole, Thank you so much Altra!!!!

I have been wearing LP since the 2.5 model (which was my ultimate favorite) as well as other Altra models. I love this 4.5 version, it fits my bunion feet great, provides enough support, and is cushy without being stacked too high. Best of all I love how it performs on wet trails, the traction is great.

I haven't run with this shoe yet, due to pregnancy, but I do wear it at work where I am on my feet all day. So far I have not experienced any pain in my feet or back when wearing this shoe. I can't wait to try it on the trails.

I do love these shoes, the wide toe box is incredible and they are super light and breathable. Though, I think they run a little big, probably due to the large toe box and I feel the arch support could be better, especially for trail running. And they are not at all water proof. That being said, I would definitely purchase again.

The Lone Peak 4.5s were my first trail shoes. Have run about 50 miles so far on technical trails, hiking on sand, and some mixed pavement/trail running. Shoes have always fit well (maybe feel a bit tighter than my Torins). They're holding up well and feel good even after long days. I like how they look too!

I'm new to Altra's. I have been running more and more, and trails are my favorite. One of the few stores still open had Altra's in, and I tried on the Temps and Lone Peaks 4.5 and I immediately knew Lone Peaks were where it was at for me. The zero drop took a bit of getting used to; my ankles knew something was different after the first 3 miles. My toes love the wide toe box, I love how even there isn't that much cushion, the soles don't feel hard, and best of all, my shins don't hurt after runs. They are very grippy and very easy to break in for me.

This is my first pair of Lone Peak's. Upon wearing them I felt support and comfort along with a nice roomy toe box. I have not tried them hiking on the trails yet but will look forward to wearing them. I do wish they had a little more cushion and do hope they wear well. This is my 4th pair of Altra's and my feet have never been so happy! An added bonus is that gaiters can be attached. I did use all the lace holes to add to my support upon wearing them.

I am very happy with these shoes. I have bunions and it is difficult to find shoes with a comfortable toe box while keeping the heel from feeling sloppy. These shoes fit really well. I did not order them in wide width. I will be ordering a second pair!

This shoe fit perfectly right out of the box! Zero break-in time and I hit the trail and had no problem. Altra is my go-to brand for shoes. I have a pair of the Escalantes, Torin, and Torin plush. Needed something with more tread to hit the trails during this pandemic and absolutely love this shoe.

I loved the way my toes had room to spread out, yet the heel didn’t swim. However, I normally wear a 9 but the 9.5 were short enough my big toe was so close to the end I was afraid in warmer weather I would have problems. I bought a 10 (!) and it was perfect. I’ve been wearing them for walking on dirt trails and for the first time, my toes don’t feel cramped. I’m an Altra convert!

Very comfortable shoes. They give enough room so my bunion doesn't hurt when I am wearing them.

I really loved these shoes, but ended up going with the size 8 because the _height_ of the shoe at the metatarsal was too small. The shoe squeezed my foot from top to bottom. I've never experienced that before, but no matter. Still a great quality shoe.

I have 3 pairs of these in different colors. I have a wide foot and these are the most comfortable shoes for my walks I have ever had. I just absolutely love them.

I bought these to switch out of hiking boots on my 6-day treks. The traction is superlative; the toe box accommodates bunions, and the material is light weight. They're ideal for walking the Camino or on any terrain that you don't absolutely need ankle support from a full boot.

I bought Hoka's in March and wasted $160- I shop at a local store and they suggested I try Altra' Instantly I knew this shoe was the brand for my wide foot. I hate athletic shoes, never wear them I'd rather walk in flip flops but I know better, This shoe had me desiring another pair! Last weekend I purchased my 2nd pair in less than 2 months just so I'd have variety. Looking forward to adding more colors for spring and eliminating my closet of any other athletic shoe!!!

I was incredibly incredibly happy with the Lone Peak 3.0's. I literally own 5 pairs5 very worn pairs. I was sooo disappointed in the 3.5 version as it was tooo smallI couldn't size up because I'm a women's 12 which it as big as they get and the men's shoe didn't feel right. They 4.0 was better, but I continued to wear my tattered 3.5's..... the fit of these 4.5's is VERY CLOSE to my beloved 3.0's. Only difference I feel is a little less cushioning. I'm so happy! I ordered two pairs and I may have to buy a few more just to be sure I have a shoe I love.

I already like this version so much more than the 4.0's. It's a little more stiff than the 4.0, and it fits more nicely with my arch. The shoe does seem a little narrow by the heal and arch, but it hasn't been bothersome. The overall shoe feels more durable/sturdy.

My last five pairs of running shoes have been Altras, and I have most recently had two pairs of the Solstice. I wanted something different, and tried these because I like the wide toe box and wanted something for outdoor running this winter. They feel fantastic, and my first three runs in them have been really easy on my feet! They are slightly wider than my other Altras, and leave my toes room for winter socks. I got the orange and they are beautiful.
