What the heck did NB do to the toe box on this sneaker? its narrow it's too low - I mean - what were they thinking ? This is the worse New Balance sneaker ever - and that textured white mushroom sole - well i could live with it BUT they are so damn uncomfortable ...ugh!

I have a few miles on these shoes and so far I am wowed. These are so light with so much cushion. The shoe literally helps you move forward. During my first run I started to feel my calf muscles tighten but my body quickly adjusted and it has been great. These are the most comfortable running shoes I have had. I previously wore ASICS. I have never tried NB. I wish I would have tried them years ago. I am 54, my feet are very sensitive to stitching in shoes. Not a problem with these. My feet and ankles often feel my age after running. Not with these, I feel great! They fit true size. I wear my usual running shoe size. I saw some complaints about the toe box being different and tight. I have no previous NB experience to compare to but this fit me perfectly. No complaints. I would have liked a different color but it was not available at the time of order. I have the yellow. It is very bright. My experience is positive and I would recommend. I will be a repeat customer.

I am not a runner, but a dancer with plantar fasciitis. I have very high arches, and a wide forefoot. My podiatrist recommended 3 or 4 different running shoes for my foot type with high cushioning. These were by far the most comfortable! (I ordered them in wide). My feet feel great in them - very little pain, even with walking long distances, or standing on concrete. Running shoes are not really my style, and I think these make my feet look giant (the white sole all around makes them look larger), but I love the purple color, and am willing to put up with big looking feet for the comfort!

The fit and size were perfect, though the new design was a bit snug across the top. My problem with these shoes lies in the fact that after wearing them only 3 months the soles in the lateral heel area are “crushed”. $160 is too much money for a shoe that lasts only three months-I walk daily on a treadmill about 3 miles—no running or long distances.

With narrow feet and even narrower heels and ankles, the elasticity at the throat of this sneaker is more like a cozy sock that gently holds my foot. The shoe is light and glides with each step. Love this new version of the 1080!

Uh wowsa. These are cushiony. I have plantar fasciitis and these seem great so far. Only had for a bit. But so far so great I got the yellow. It’s bright but fun.

I have been running in the 1080s since Brooks went rogue on the Glycerin model. I wear an 8-8.5 2a in street shoes and a 102a in the 1080s however I was able to get away with ordering a 10 standard width in this shoe, which tells me it is fairly narrow. I have an extremely narrow heel and with a loop I am not slipping. I have only done short 3-5 mile runs so I can't speak to distance just yet. They are very cushiony and light-weight and I feel like it is taking some of the strain out of my calves and I am pretty impressed so far. If you have wide feet the standard width will not work for you. If you are narrow you might be able to get a standard and I have considered ordering the 2a version just to compare. I am very happy with mine.

Just like running on marshmallows! These awesome shoes are perfect for road running. For reference, I'm both a trail and road runner and I needed shoes with more cushion for my road runs. My trail shoes have minimal conditioning, and I would start to get achy and fatigued on the road while wearing trail shoes. The Fresh Foam series is one of my faves for road runs and this shoe is exactly what I wanted! For reference, I usually run 25-35 miles per week mixed in with cross training and conditioning and some cycling. These shoes help me from feeling tired and sore on long runs of 10-15 miles. Highly recommend!

I was never a new balance girl. I do moderate running and have problems with shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and started with some hip cramping. It took me forever to find the perfect shoe then Nike quick making it without a replacement. I researched like crazy and a lot of runners love these new balance. I tried them and they are incredible. They hug your feet I was having heel sliding in one foot and it really helped. They are light and don’t pull on your knees like ankle weights like some running shoes, and most of all that foam is so protective and soft against the concrete. Hat off New balance what an incredible shoe.

I am an 11 to 11.5 in street shoes with a high arch, wide toe splay, but narrow heel. I tried these in both the 11.5 regular and wide. The regular was way too tight and my feet bothered me immediately. The wide was better to allow for toe splay, but the toe box shape just did not work for my foot and the sock fit was too tight for my high arches. The construction of the heel is fantastic. It is thin, but well cushioned with a small bump out to prevent heel slippage. My heels slip out of everything and this prevented that. The heel on V10 is a great improvement over the hard and unforgiving heel cup of V9. If only V10 did not run so narrow. Back to my search.

I have plantar fasciitis and lately it's become so painful that I have been much less active in general. That's not okay with me, so I went off to find a shoe. I read a lot about what options were the best, and I ordered the New Balance because it was top rated and I did like the style compared to others in its class. My foot is in between an 8.5 and a 9 and in between medium and wide, so I split the difference and went for an 8.5 wide because I didn't want heel slippage. I am SO HAPPY with these shoes. I've been wearing them a week, and I'm contemplating grabbing another pair. They're structured but not stiff, they cushion the step without feeling like you're just sinking in to the soles, the heel is close and the toe box is spacious - necessary for plantar fasciitis control. Unlike other models with the sock heel, these are easy to get on. I could not be happier. I am not a runner, so I can't rate them for that - but if you've got PF and you need a shoe that allows you to move all day this is a fabulous shoe.

Love these shoes, perfect amount of cushion while still providing good support and a bounce that seems to propel you forward! They needed no breaking in, I had no blisters or discomfort after my first long run in these, which never happens for me! They do appear narrow but the knit sides of the shoes seem to stretch with your feet in a very comfortable way. I also really like the heel shape, it makes the shoe feel secure because it is narrow enough but the angle makes it easy to get your foot in and doesn’t rub your heel at all. I am a 6.5 in regular shoes and size to a 7 in running shoes and these fit perfectly in a 7. I also love how these new balances are stepping up the fashion game while still staying a true running shoe!

Just received the black/white NARROW combo. Praise the lord these fit!!!! I have the most difficult foot to find shoes; Size 11, technically a “slim” width, ie suuuuper narrow - it’s impossible to find Stylish shoes that actually fit. Thank you NB for making this shoe in a narrow! I live in athletic shoes... pls make more 11N and I will buy them all! :)

I bought 2 pairs, the lemon yellow and blue gray. Beautiful shoe, excellent fit! Bouncy and true to fit. Makes me happy. I will be ordering the bright pink, very seldom a running shoe fits so well, functions so good, and so pretty it makes you happy!

These felt pretty good out of the box, but by the end of my first (very moderate) run/walk combo the bottoms of my feet felt a little sore/tired. I have worn them 3 or 4 more times assuming I just needed to get used to them but no. :( Now they’re making my ankle super sore and tired. My knees feel great, which is what I’d originally hoped they’d help, but the cramping in my feet is so bad I’m literally writing this as I walk down the sidewalk back home to try to return them.

The Fresh Foam 1080's used to be my go to shoe for walking. But New Balance has made them more narrow and has eliminated the padding around the heal. The tongue is now attached to elastic which I definitely don't like. Because they are more narrow and with the elastic holding the tongue, they are harder to get on. They are definitely being returned and I'm going to try Brooks Ghost.

Love this version of the 1080. Bought these for my daughter who runs 25-35 miles a week on average. She is extremely picky about her running shoes. She prefers moderate cushioning, not too bouncy but supportive and comfortable. She really like the v8 but hated the previous v9. The changes on this model were great. They eliminate the firm edge on the last model which caused rubbing on the ankle, and the foam gives a much more comfortable ride on this version. She loves it so much we bought 3 pairs in different colors and will probably stock up on more before they change it again!

The shoe is definitely big, but oh so comfy! I have ankle problems and this shoe was recommended for being on my feet 10 ish hours a day. It is definitely comfortable. The sole is massive and bright white so not my favorite style choice, but comfort is more important.

Love these shoes! I have awful knees but love to run and after researching several websites recommended these. Couldn’t be more pleased. Within the first day knew pain is gone! They run true to size but on the narrow side in toe box which is good for me

Love these shoes. I wear them 8 hours a week for Zumba and weight classes. They are well cushioned and at same time supportive. Went up 1/2 size from street shoes size, perfect. Lots of toe room. Don't quite know why the heel is so high in back, maybe extra support. Expensive, but if they hold up, well worth the bucks.

Love the Lemon color and they look great. These shoes have an elastic sleeve type that goes across the top of your foot that keeps your feet in alignment in this shoe. Unfortunately, they are very uncomfortable for me since they squeeze the top of my feet.

This v10 seems to be a little slimmer, hard to get my foot into. Definitely do not like the heel coming up high on the back of my foot. Having a hard time getting the shoe on. The v9 was perfect with smaller toe box and hugged the heel a little for snug fit, but this v10 is not good compared to v9 which I loved. Been wearing this version of NB for many years and have always loved this shoe and had good luck with fit. Hope you go back to v9 style.

I ordered a 2A width, size 5.5 (US) in this shoe and both the length & width were perfect for me. HOWEVER, there is stitching the goes across the base of the tongue (attaching it to the upper) and it has zero stretch. As my arch is high, that stitching dug right into my instep making the shoe completely unwearable. The arch support in this shoe is nil to mild, IMO but my arch is higher than most others. With a small, narrow foot size it is always a challenge to find new shoes when they're needed. I was extremely disappointed this shoe fit so well and I can't wear it due to a poorly thought out product design!

Finally! A trainer that has pretty much everything and works for my specific needs. It is VERY cushioned (more than the v9 and Beacon 2) but not too bouncy. It's wide enough in the D width to accommodate the bunion I have on my left foot but grips the midsole and heel. I do not really have a wide foot but the bunion forces me into the D width but then I often have problems with my foot slipping around. I need a lot of cushion but NOT bounce due to an arthritic ankle. I resisted this trainer when it first debuted because I thought it was odd looking but it looks fine on the foot, even stylish. There is elastic holding the tongue in place which keeps you from slipping around and lifting out of the heel. Because of the fixed tongue and elastic I need a shoe horn to put it on but once it's on, ahhh! Could be a problem if you have a high instep I would imagine. I fast walk btw, no longer run because of the ankle. The 7 1/2 W fits me perfectly with my cushioned no shows. I was wearing a 7W in the 1080 v9, even through it pinched slightly on the wider foot because in the 7 1/2 W I slipped around too much.
