1080 v10 are just awful sneakers. There is no foot ventilation. Yesterday I ran a training session 35 km. As a result, due to overheating of the foot, I was forced to leave the distance of 32 km. I am a marathon runner and have run in different sneakers. But 1080 V 10 is not recommended.

The worst most uncomfortable shoes ever. There is something wrong with the fresh foam. These are not comfortable for long walks. I've worn new balance for years and the last 3 pairs of shoes I bought have been uncomfortable, hard as rocks. Don't waste your money.

Normally, I'm not particularly sensitive to running shoes, having had good luck with multiple styles of New Balance in the past. But something is off with these... they feel very tight at the toe box and I find the ball of my foot irritated by one of the joints in the tread. Retired to the back of my closet after a handful of attempts.

My favorite shoe was the older model 1080. It fit very well. The new 1080 is way too narrow with a low toe/arch box. The first time I wore them I had red marks on my feet from the rubbing the shoe did to my feet. Very uncomfortable after a short time.

Haven't had the shoes six months and one of the N's and soles is coming off. And New Balance has not returned my message.

I'm seriously thinking about returning this purchase, don't like the weird heel and the colors...meh...yuck. This is a major change from previous versions that I've really enjoyed. I can't take them out for a cruize to really test them because they will get dusty and you folks won't accept them returned if dirty, so I'll return shortly, probably get some 990s to replace.

I had an issue with this shoe after 2 weeks. I reached out to customer service and was asked to send proof of purchase, pics of the shoes etc. (which I did immediately). After sending pics and receipts, I haven't heard back. Started the conversation in May and have had several emails back to them trying to get a follow up but no one responds.

The molded heel portion is too narrow and is uncomfortable. There are horizontal ribs which dig into one's heel. I have used earlier versions of this shoe which did not have this new heel section and have never had a problem. This is an obvious design and manufacturing mistake. Otherwise, the shoe felt great.

I wore the earlier version of this shoe, the 1080G8, for over a year until I wore them out. I then got the 1080G10 thinking it would be similar, but after running in them just four times, they hurt my feet so badly I can't even put them on. This shoe is constructed differently from the earlier versions and for me, aren't even wearable. And I have been wearing New Balance shoes throughout my 40 years of running. My advice, if you buy these, is to hang on to your packaging until you've used them a number of times, or to be safe, just don't buy them in the first place.

I have been wearing 1080s since before they were branded as 1080s. For the last few years the updates have been coming annually I'm guessing and I replace these expensive shoes on about that same timeline. For the last two versions, the v8 and v9, the shoes have been coming apart in one or more areas way before the shoes had hit a reasonable amount of time or miles on them. The liner around the back of the v9s started coming apart after one month of ownership-I can send pictures. On the v9 that area has a completely new design. This is unsatisfactory for a higher end shoe that used to last and hasn't gone down in price. Every new version gets worse. I believe the v6 was the last version that lasted to near where i would consider them "worn out" and even then got more life out of them as yard work shoes. I'm either going to start buying the cheaper shoes or completely change brands, probably the latter.

I found the foam too soft for any adequate \ stable support. I've been buying NB shoes for years, the new generation shoes appear to be made of cheaper \ less quality materials. I returned the shoes back to New Balance after trying them on... So far, It been (2) weeks with no refund issued to my pay pal account :( I hope that NB leadership sees this honest \ factual feedback

I have worn the 1080s for about 5 years. The V9 had a few changes in the heel that made the shoe cause blistering. The V10 is not the same shoe it used to be. The toe box and the arch of the foot is so narrow! The sole of the shoe doesn't create the same stability as previous versions. I am very disappointed that I can't find any of the previous versions. The V8 and lower had a wide toe box and the shoe fit perfectly true to size! They made it easy to work long hours on my feet with chronic back pain. These were my favorite shoes and will now have to look for something else. Very disappointed they have changed so much.

I started running last August and bought the 1080V9 and LOVED them. I went to buy them again and couldn't get them so I bought the 1080V10 and did not have the same results. They have about 100 miles on them and I'm continuing to get blisters on my middle toes on both feet and I'm having calf tightness that I never had before. They feel less cushioned than the 1080V9. Wore the old shoes with all their miles on them and didn't have the tightness.

I'm having some issues with these shoes. I'm a big new balance fan and have had a ton of shoes, after running in the fresh foam Cruz shoes I decided to upgrade to these. Overall they feel good, but there's some rough stitching on inside of the shoe that's causing friction on my outside of my right ankle. It's rubbing and causing a blister (even feels like it might be causing tendonitis). Has anyone had a problem like this? Does it get better over time? I have bought a lot of new balance shoes and this is the first time I'm having a problem.

You changed the stitching holding the tong putting it much higher on instep and it is killing me. Their is no give and little width compared to last model which is much closer to the toes

Bought a pair of these to replace my worn out 1080 v9. Because the v9 was no longer available at the new balance store. Wore them to work the next day and began developing a hot spot in the arch of my left foot, by mid day. By the end of the day I was in severe pain. I had made up my mind that I was going to return them ASAP. Returned them to the new balance store i had purchased them from. They convinced me to order a new pair from the factory, they arrived a few days later, tried them on and walked around the house for a couple minutes and sure enough the same issue i had with the first pair was present in the second pair. Returned them and got reimbursed. Went searching online for any 1080 v9's still available. I was able to find a couple sources in very limited colors. I bought several pairs since new balance no longer makes this amazing shoe. For years i have looked for a comfortable shoe to help me deal with the pain in my knees, ankles and feet. The 1080 v9 has taken so much pain away from my day to day activities. Please bring back the v9

I use them for walking, or tried. I like New Balance but hate the way these feel walking in them and the appearance is poor. Not a fan.

I'm a longtime customer and have owned many different NB running shoes, particularly their trail line. On recommendation from my brother I bought the 1080v10 (and a discounted pair of v9's) for marathon training. Immediately, my feet began hurting in both the old and new versions. It felt like there was a steel bar running beneath the balls of my feet. I thought it was a break in issue, so I kept running in them. But after an 18 miler in the v10's I could barely walk the next day from the pain on the balls of my feet. All that to say, I love my other NB shoes, but these were horrible. Caveat, my brother loves these shoes, so maybe it's just my feet.

I have had other versions of the 1080. These for, some reason create an irritation on my right ankle so I am not happy with them.

The first time i wore these after running a mile, the side of the shoe was rubbing against my ankle bone so badly it left an open wound. I again tried wearing thicker socks and the pain was so bad I had to wear different shoes.

If I could rate it a negative one I would. I tried the tennis shoes on and they felt ok so I threw the box away. I began to wear them a few weeks later and ended having ankle pain which led to back pain. Why would new balance create such a horrible 1080v when the prior two versions were amazing. Now I cannot find the 1080v 8 or 9 and I'm throwing these new away in the trash.

Bought the v10 with 3 weeks to go until a marathon. Ran twice on them and both times had terrible pain in the arches of my feet. It's almost as if my foot is stretching the fabric over the inside of the shoe. I even tried a wide even though I have narrow feet and felt the same pain. Unfortunately I had to return them for a different brand. I've worn 1080v7, 8, & 9 and absolutely loved them. I was hoping to take my NB 1080s along with me at the marathon but no luck. So upsetting.
