Ever since Merrell purchased Chaco, the sizing on their sandals has changed and not for the better. I am a true 6.5 Medium. Of course, Chaco only makes full sizes. For years, I wore a size 6. Last year, I purchased a new pair of Chacos and had to go with a size 7, which is just too big and I kept tripping. So, this year, I went with this newer style (which is supposed to run wide) in a size 6, which I just barely fit. I'm am less than a 1/4 inch from the front and the back. Also, the webbing is too short, so I can't loosen or tighten as much as I would like. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I will keep these (not wanting to risk going out to mail these back to Zappos) and use them as at-home sandals. Chacos were always my go-to sandals. I've been really disappointed the last few years.

I have extremely high instep & arch and wide at toe area due to medical issues. This sandal fits perfect and very comfortable.

sandals fit well and design is good. but arch support s minimal and they really feel quite flat. not adequate for much walking

I first bought a pair of these in a size 9 (I am typically 8.5) but ny feet are narrow and the adjustment tab wouldnt pull far enough to get the right tension around my foot. Also the heal strap was slightly too loose. I returned and bought a size 8 and the fitting was perfect. I do with I had the footbed of the size 9 though, toes are just slightly closer to the edge than I would like. If you wear half sizes or have narrow feet, just consider this. Otherwise the shoe is all the things we love about Chaco, but it obvious they have modernized the style and look and its great. They are sporty and functional, comfortable and also look good. I can wear them as streetwear or on a hike, they work for both. I will mostly likey by the slide version of the shoe because they look so good and feel great.

The strap on the heel does not adjust tightly enough for me. It does on my Chaco z's, but not this particular model.

Have to rate one star due to dangerous strap issue. I bought these shoes about three months ago and planned to use them for daily summer activities and light hiking. I enjoyed the strap mechanism and the footbed, but it soon became clear that the materials used in this shoe are not up to par. The straps that are used to tighten the shoe have developed loose threads, which then get caught in the tooth mechanism. The end result is that your foot can get stuck in the shoe -- something that became dangerous when I was kayaking in a rapid river. I'm stuck with $85 sandals that have the real potential to cause injury. Do not recommend this shoe.

Wanted to love these but no matter what I tried I could not get the straps tight enough so that my feet weren't slipping around. I pulled the straps as tight as they would go and they were still too loose. I have pretty average feet that are not particularly skinny so I was surprised by this. Maybe this pair was defective? Had to return.

If you have narrow or thin flat feet, these sandals won’t work. They are cute and the sole is very light and cushioned, but the non-adjustability made it so I couldn’t wear them even around the house. The sling back strap isn’t adjustable and the z strap allows about 2 inches of tightening which wasn’t near enough. This is my complaint about the chillos releases this year as well. Inconsistency in fit amongst different colors and minimum adjustability make it a bad buy and I’ll wait for later models that I hope will be improved.

I spent a while looking for sandals that could fill the following tall order: they were light enough to take hiking as camp shoes (and would accommodate socks for the same purpose), would work as occasional water shoes, and weren't something I'd mind wearing out to eat or something when necessary. This pair was the answer. The strap mechanism is perfect for comfortably securing them on my narrow feet, whether those feet are fresh, sock-clad, or swollen at the end of a long day. I've taken them out for a few 2-3 mile-long test walks, and I can honestly say that it's the best strap style I've ever had on a sandal - it allows me to really lock my heels in so they don't slip. I'm already planning to get them in another color.

So much lighter than other Chacos. Very comfortable, cushioned sole. Definitely recommend.

I got a size 7 and these because I’ve heard that they run a little big but actually I felt like I could have gone with an eight. I’m typically a 7 1/2. If you’re looking for arch support this is not the issue for you, the appeal for me was that I have a very flat foot and I was looking for something that did not have much arch support. However my foot is a bit narrow and so I couldn’t really get the straps tight enough. Ultimately I ended up returning these although I did like the style and really hoped that they would work for me. Zappos has really amazing returns!

Feel so much lighter than traditional Chacos! Love them so far bc they are a much cuter and less clunky everyday shoe than original Chacos. I previously didn't like taking my Chacos to the beach bc the threads would get full of sand - since the lowdowns aren't threaded through the sole that isn't a problem! Would recommend if you are a Chacos lover looking for something a little lighter.

I bought these for water sports. I wore them floating the river the first time I wore them and I am very happy I bought them! Wet & dry the stay put and nothing rubbed or hurt. The tread is pretty grippy on wet river rock. I injured my feet in an auto accident a few years ago and I have a fallen arch and one foot wider than the other, while these have tall arch support it didn’t hurt that foot and the way the straps are done makes it comfortable even when my foot swells and it touches the sides. The back strap is adjustable which made me happy too! I wear a 10.5 and ordered an 11

These are interesting. I REALLY like the navy blue color and how light they are. I am always so disappointed by how heavy Chacos are - they feel like I'm wearing bricks on my feet but not these. However, they are a very odd fit. It seems like my big toe is almost hanging off and my heel is inches from the back. I am a true 7.5 and I size down in most sandals (including these, I am rocking a 7) but I almost feel like I could size down a full size to a 6. I am sort of hoping that the straps stretch and the sandal fits better. So, all in all - I am going to keep them - LOVE how lightweight they are and they do have good arch support.

I don’t have much arch if any so regular Chacos are not very comfortable for me. The high arch in them really irritates my foot. These have a small arch which is perfect for me! My only complaint is that the back strap is too loose. But as I like to be able to slide them on easily this is sometimes a plus. It would be nice to be able to tighten it though once on your foot.

I like the past fit and style of the sandals.

I love chaco arch support and I was looking for a sandal that went across the toes. These fit the bill. However, the side leather piece rubs on my foot when ever I am in water and causes an open wound. Does it every time. I will be trying a new style, sad these did not work.

First pair of Chacos. My daughter lived in these shoes as a camp counselor over the years so I knew they were a good shoe. Love the fact that it’s a stable sole but still a sandle.

I love these sandals. They adjust easily and don’t rub your skin. Colors are gorgeous too.

I wear a 10 and am just slightly wider than average and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Unsure how gray will stay clean but looks great now

Cute for “frumpy” style of sandals. Bought for waking around Florida theme parks and they’re perfect for that.

Love these. Super lightweight they are my go to everyday sandals. East to throw in the washer too. Already got my mom some as well and she loves them. They are also good for wide feet!

Love how adjustable these sandals are! The comfortable foot bed and excellent arch support are why I return, again and again, to Chaco.

I’m usually a 7.5 and have a very narrow foot. I ordered a 7 and it was perfect. I wore during a full afternoon of hiking thru wooded area/streams on day one and had no problems with then loosening.
