I am 48 years old I use them day to day. They're the most comfortable things that have ever been on my feet! EVER!! When I put them on my wife asked how they felt. My response...the feel like buttered cloud!

One of my several Hoka walking shoes. Comfortable, light, sturdy. The color selection is hideous but that's OK. My major problem with the sandal (not the shoes) the it is a PEBBLE MAGNET. If I don't walk on clean asphalt, the sandals keep collecting small stones that (unlike smooth interior surface sandals) cannot be shaken out. The only way to get them out is to take off the sandals. That is a very big inconvenience of this otherwise near perfect walking sandal.
I'd also recommend:

Just got these sandals for a trip to Europe. Initial thoughts are that they fit and feel well. I'll know more once I return from my European.

great arch support, comfortable for long walks, but not super stable, i wouldn't go hiking on rough terrain, but they are suitable for flat surfaces, beaches, paved areas are okay, also maybe not the ideal shoes for bike riding, as they aren't as secure as the sneaker variety. but they are great for wet weather, hot weather, as they have great ventilation, and quick drying materials that would retain moisture and breed bacteria.

Purchased for my husband. The size is right on (11). Very sturdy. A non slip sole but he doesn't like because the soles squeak when he walks. He will not ware them so I must return them. Not a light sandal.

I have read the negative reviews about how the strap on the back of the shoe may rip from the shoe rear platform. I have had mine for a little over two weeks. I use them for water aerobics 4 times a week for 2 hours per day. They are comfortable and holding up well. Will try them on vacation on the beach and ocean shortly. No plans to hike in them and will wear ankle socks to deal with situations of keeping small pebbles and other things away from my feet. They are hard for swimming with them on but I didn't buy them for that. Support is good for walking on level surfaces or water related activities. Go a size up if USA sizes. I wear a 13 and ordered a size 14, fit like a 13.

Wear my hoppras everyday, they have a relatively wide foot bed which works great for me. The strap that goes around the ankle though always seems to separate. The material separates from the pull tab but it never has broke. Bought 2 more pairs.

Bought for hubby's Christmas gift. He really likes the sandals: comfortable, light-weight, stylish, nice color. He's tried wearing it around the house but hasn't worn it outside since it's winter. He's going on a trip to warmer climes & can't wait to wear his new sandals.

These are my third pair of Hoka shoes including the Bondi 8 sneakers and Anacapa Breeze Mid. I love each pair! I have achy tired feet all the time and I need shoes that provide cushion, support and comfort. These sandals are pretty good, however they can be a little hot and stuffy for everyday wear during the summer. I found them more comfy to wear in October when the weather cooled off a bit. I still like them though.

Omg - these sandals are so good. I'm in Florida so my feet get wet all the time and flip flops are slippery and unstable when wet. The hopara hoka sandals are so much better. Btw - I took a 4 mile walk on the first day I had them with no problems. Super happy ! I always get my hokas 1/2 size bigger.

I bought these to use as lightweight hiking/water shoes for exploring the Rivera Mayan jungles and underground cenotes in Mexico. The support these Hopara shoes provided me is unparalleled against any other water shoe i've tried on; however, I was disappointed that they gave me huge water blisters on the bottoms of my pinky toes and sides of my big toes and also rubbed the bottoms of my feet raw after walking in them for awhile after getting them wet. This should not have happened especially for the high price I paid for them.

These were comfortable the first time I put them on. They were more cushioned than I expected and had no issues with seams or straps rubbing into my feet. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I live in Miami Beach and never wear socks because they will get soggy haha. These sandals are very well designed and I love that I can adjust the fit snug or loose because of the pull tie. I wear wet or dry (paddle board gear ) clothing and the Wet or Dry function of these sandals put a remarkable finishing touch on my ensemble. However, the rubber straps are no match for the Miami Beach Sun and the straps dry up and break rather quickly.

You need to wear a few times before you make your decision. Little heavy and hot. Super Comfortable once you wear a few times.

This is my first foray into a sandal type of shoe. I've never worn flip flops or any type of sandal. Hikers were always my shoes of choice when not working. That said these were recommended by a podiatrist friend when I mentioned I went barefoot all the time around the house and in the yard. With hard floors, the beach, and pool deck my feet need support and protection, according to him, but wearing full blown shoes seemed overkill. The verdict is so far so good. I'm getting used to them, like the security and added comfort. My feet seem to like the too.

I love these hiking sandals. Tough and comfortable as heck. I'd buy another pair if my wife would let me. However, I have a wide foot. Although the 13 regular is good, a little more width would make them perfect. Hoping they loosen up a little more with wear and tear. Nice work, Hoka!

I'm a huge Hoka fan. I've bought two pair of their running shoes every one of the past 6 years. In addition, I have two previous (4 yr old) versions of their sport sandal, absolutely love them, they were a durable synthetic material , indestructible and super comfortable. So I was excited to see they came back to market with Hopara.. Sadly the Hopara is all plastic, made my feet sweat after only a few minutes. Fortunately they were good about allowing a quick and easy refund. I still love my Hoka running shoes, and will continue with them. Hoping for an improved sport sandal in the future.

Since this is an internet purchase I wasn't able to try them on. I bought the size I normally wear. When they came in they were a little small, I went through the exchange process no big deal, sent the shoes back. This where it went off the rails, I waited and waited and waited and no replacements. I finally called to see what the issue was. I was told they had received the return but they hadn't be shipped to the correct warehouse for inspection. A few days later I received notification that the exchange had shipped. It would of been much better if I had just bought a new pair and returned the old pair. Waiting weeks was ridiculous. HOKA your exchange policy leaves a very poor taste of your company.
