I am a 58 year old man who lives i the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. I hike 3 mountains a week for 25 years. My weak link is my feet. The Toa is the best shoe I have ever used. No pain. Great performance on steeps, up and down. Light and dry. HOWEVER, due to form fit design, you have to use the heal loop to pull the shoe on., especially when wet. I have repaired and reinforced the loop 4 times in my last pair. Fix this and it is a perfect hiker! I just bought a new pair after 18 months of hard use (and repair of loop).

Out of the box fits amazingly, like a well-padded glove. Feels high-tech, rugged and yet incredibly light. Widened toe-box makes it very comfortable. I spent hours trying on more than a dozen of different hiking shoes in outdoors stores, but nothing came even close to this level of comfort. I took it out for a spin on a 10 km of very rocky mountainous hike and enjoyed every minute of it. Great stylish look and perfect ankle support as well! (And that is coming from a heavyset older man with hammertoes and torn plantar ligaments).

I had to return the first pair I bought because the overlay around the toe area started peeling off on both boots. They did fit perfect and were very comfortable. So I did an exchange for another pair. Then this pair were not waterproof. They leak water through the gortex in the toe box area of both boots. So my feet got pretty wet on a three night backpacking trip. Great product concept but I think the materials are very low quality/cheap.

I work in retail and am on my feet on concrete 8 hrs a day. Hoka's are the way to go. I only wish there were more options bigger women's sizes. I wear a men's 10.5 so looking for feminine colors is a must. Blue and yellow are my favorite color combo. Concrete can be slick when wet and TOA's are very grippy. So... GET YOU SUM!

I've used these shoes on several walks and hikes within the last few weeks. I've been very satisfied with the level of support and comfort these shoes give. Highly recommended if you are looking for something to hit up the mountains with!

The TOA GORE-TEX are everything I was looking for in a shoe. I have been able to use them as a fashionable addition to trendy outfits, as light hiking shoes, and also, when I'm working in the studio for hours a day and standing most of the time, they provide comfort and support that is hard to beat.

I need a wide shoe, but these work fine. My feet feel great after a hike, but not sure if they are sturdy enough for a full pack and lots of rocks. I have only used them for day hikes with a small pack on smooth trails. They might work great on rocks??????

The TOAs are perfect and comfortable working on the golf course but my right shoe is coming unglued after less than 2 months. The waterproof is staying dry as of now.

Great look and style however they are not waterproof. My previous pair of Hoka One Toa Techs were the best pair of boots I've ever had. These new Toas seep water where the sole meets the rest of the shoe. Very disappointing. I also don't love the top two lace hooks - would rather just have lace holes. Cumbersome to tie.

Took the boots on two different hikes. Both wet and 30 degree weather with high winds. My feet were totally dry and not cold at all like with normal shoes/boots. Also your hoka technology on the cushion made them even more comfortable to walk in. I honestly did not want to take them off. I will be purchasing more hoka products with gore Tex!
