Looks and shape gave me pause initially but comfort and weather protection have proved a worthy competitor to established brands I've worn in the past.

I am absolutely a Hoka fan, I have about 7 pairs of various styles from hiking to running. Unfortunately, the KAHA, I believe one of Hoka's most highest priced shoe, wasn't worth the money. Great look and classic Hoka plush cushion. The major problem is that they are too loose in the heal. Used them hunting, hiking very uneven surfaces, you need solid support around the ankles and heal. Lots of movement and not much support in the lower portion of the heal or ankle areas. Also, the tongue needs to be longer, laces often move up off the the top of the tongue and rub on the lower shin. I have a pair of TOAs that are night and day compared to the KAHA. Went hunting last night with them, total difference! Blend the tight support of the TOA in the back of the shoe and around the ankle, then add plush feel of the KAHA or BONDI and I would buy them every time. The KAHA needs to back to the drawing board to be considered a serious hiking boot in my opinion. But still a die hard HOKA fan!

I have zero cartilage in my right ankle, and per the recommendation of my Dr. I tried out Hoka One One shoes. I have owned multiple Elevons, I have Speed Goats and Ora Recovery Slides. All of these shoes have a "plush" ride as advertised (even the Speed Goat which is noted as "balanced", is quite plush), but the Kaha hiking boot is anything but plush. The fit is great, as is the quality, but there is next to no cushion in comparison to the previously noted shoes. If a plush ride is important (or necessary) to you, then I'd definitely pass on this boot.

I like your running shoes a lot but you hiking and sandals are not fit to size, too big and not as good quality as your running and walking shoes.

Appreciate five different Hoka models for different purposes including the M Sky Toa which I love and on which I have worn out the tread. Got this model as replacement. The new boot bruised and abraded the skin and tendon below my right lateral malleolus. Have shaped mole skin to address, but that hasn't eliminated the problem entirely.

Tried different methods of tying, different socks but these boots just cause me blisters on the inner side of my heel. Feels like the angle of the heel cup slants down and towards my arch which just causes blisters

Bought this boot and was very pleased with the comfort and look, but after 2 weeks of wearing, the tread on the soles of each boot started started coming unglued and separating. Extremely disappointed because I've had several pairs of the Stinson Mid GTX boots and they've been great but they must have discontinued them.

I used them for walking the dogs mostly in the wet morning grass, doing yard work and light farm chores. They lasted about 2 weeks before the soles separated from them. They're also not like other Hoka's they don't have the thick foam for that pillow like feel, they're basically a very cheaply made hiking boot. I've given up on hoka's after these and another pair I had, not for me.

These left me wanting so much more, and have disappointed me since they arrived. Very bulky, very wide toe box, and there are much better more durable options on the market for the same price.

Had to redo the review. Too many typos. People have to understand what I'm saying. I'll say the good first. Hoka is a brand made for comfort and fits wide feet good(nice size toe box) and after a long 12 hour shift my feet don't feel unlike they were over worked. The quality is bad tho less than 30 days of wear and the falling apart. I'd appreciate a discount and a suggestion on a tougher more quality pair to give hoka a 2nd chance. At this point Im not happy

These are peeling and falling apart after less than 30 days of wear Im walking around delivering packages not clumping mountains or even running I barely jog. If I can get a discount on a better pair I might try the brand again but right now I don't know because the quality on these are not good. They are comfortable tho but what comfort if I have to buy a pair every 2 months?

I was surprised at how uncomfortable these were. I had to return them they were so bad. Probably the worst shoe I've ever put on my feet. I tried to wear them for a day and had to take them off in my office and go without shoes for the second half of the day.

I bought these for a week of hunting and they were so comfy. I hiked 34.4 miles the whole week. I noticed on day 4 the soles started to peel apart. I don't know if it's a manufacturing defect. I have 2 pairs of hoka trail running shoes and have ran 100 plus miles with no problems. I'm very disappointed with my purchase.

This sis the second pair of HOKA hiking boots I've purchased. The first pair were the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. HOWEVER within a very short time the tab on the boots that helps you pull them on broke on one boot and a short time later broke on the other one. I've put up with it because they are so comfortable.
I just bought a second pair and the very first time I put them on the tab broke off the new ones. I mean I took them out of the box and it broke. Now maybe not a big deal but that tab is very helpful if pulling the boots on. So maybe a 1 star is a little tough but it's very frustrating to me.

This is not a hiking boot! No way! I do not know what is wrong with Hoka as they have no clue. Hiking a long distance, your feet will swell. I have hiked thousands of miles and I know I know I need to wear a boot that is a half size larger and is extra or extra extra wide to conform to feet that swell when hiking long distances as I do. Hoka does not offer these in a wide nor an extra wide so I will never recommend nor buy these for long thru hikes. They will kill your feet. But, if you want to look cool cause you bought some Hokas and you want to wear them to show off, go for it! But I forbid you from wearing these for any hime more than 3 miles because you will hurt! They are not built for that. Come on Hoka, learn how to make real hiking boots!

It advertised as being plush. They are harder than walking on my floor barefoot. They was what I bought them for their plush quality.

Love my other Hoka's but these boots need to be a wide fit. It's almost as if they are not designed properly. Curves in too much on inside of foot and it's almost like you can feel something plastic feeling holding everything in place along your instep. Just basing that opinion upon other boots that I own. (Keen & Merrell).

I talked to customer service before leaving this review, still dissatisfied, here it goes... I have been a Hoka wearer for years. I've owned many pairs and even used them on my thru hike of the Apppalachian Trail. I bought these for a 75 mile fall hike (and hopefully to last for years to come!) 15 miles in, the Vibram treads were falling off the soles. We had to find a way to cut our hike short and get out of the backcountry because there was no way I was able to do this hike without treads. I bought this boot to last and it failed me on it's first day out. For reference, I'm 140lbs and I was carrying a 25lb pack, so the boots weren't being abused or overloaded. My friends and I took time off work, traveled far (over 1,00 miles!) only for my brand new boots to be the reason for not completing our thru hike. I am so incredibly disappointed with the seemingly cheap construction of this product and I will never feel truly comfortable purchasing another pair of Hokas and certainly would not attempt to rely on them in the backcountry.
I talked to Customer Service to address my concerns because I feel like these should be recalled or something before leaving another helpless hiker in danger in the woods. I was offered an exchange or return but I the representative was just doing their job and didn't understand my real concerns or seem to care about what happened.
If Hoka made tires or rock climbing gear, would they make such cheap products and say "It must just be a manufacturer's defect, we can return or exchange if you want"?
From a very experienced hiker, shoes are the most important piece of gear. I will forever remember this hike as the one that was ruined for all of us because of my new Hokas. I hope someone in charge sees this review and contacts me.
DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS!
...now off to the post office to pay to send them back, as if Hoka hasn't cost me enough this week.

These boots are supposed to be waterproof, which is exactly the reason why I bought them. I went outside for 20 minutes in about an inch of snow - came inside and my socks were wet. These boots are really expensive and my previous Hoka waterproof boots were amazing, so it was worth the price tag. I am thoroughly disappointed and will be returning these boots.
