I took these boots backpacking for 5 days and the soles became torn apart on every rock I hit, and the strap in the back tore off as soon as I tried to use them to put on my feet. This shoe doesn't have any hard protection on the outside, and seems to be made of cheap materials.

I've been hiking in the Kaha Gor-Tex for about a year, and recently bought these as an early birthday gift to myself with the intention of making it a lighter day hiking boot. After summiting Quandary Peak over Labor Day weekend, I'm planning on using the Stinson Mid as my primary. The toe box is generous, there is a little bit more trail response than the Kaha, and I felt a little more stability along with the plush cushion during descent. I still love the Kaha, but will probably use it for longer forest hikes and use the Stinson for summit days. I would (and probably will) buy either or both the Kaha and Stinson again. Recommended these to a friend for his first 14er, and he's loving it before hitting the trail already. My only regret is that now we'll have matching shoes.

I work part time standing 8 to 9 hours! I already have a pair of Hoka One One sneakers but with winter approaching I needed a pair of boots to handle the cold and snow. I'm happy to say with these boots my feet will be comfortable AND warm!

I have metatarsal pain in one foot and arch pain in the other. And I hike a lot. My Stinson ATRs are my go-to shoe, but don't have enough support for backpacking on rocky and uneven trails. These new boots give my the cushion of the ATRs, and the wide toe box that my Tor Summits lacked, and enough volume for an aftermarket insole. Everything I dreamed of in a hiking boot. After wearing them the first time, I immediately bought two more pair (I live out west and backpacking trips are a highlight of my year). Never stop making these!!

These are the most comfortable pair of light hiking boots I have ever owned. Nicely padded, fit snugly but not too tight, feel good on the trail, and they look cool! My only complaint is that the top two eyelets (grommets?) are very tough to deal with. With the shoe on it is almost impossible to thread the laces. Otherwise they are great!

These are awesome. I beat these boots silly and they hold up like a champ. Arizona is technical rock and I appreciate the softer ride. I hike most days of the week and never without a ruck. In fact, first day was a rocky 8 miler out to Seven Falls, and not even a hotspot on my feet. Now granted, I had been in the Stinson trail shoe up to that point, but still…. these are comfortable. My feet are wide, and with four ACL (2 left, 2 right) ruptures under my belt, I run insoles for sure. So I like the wider toe box. They are light, offer plenty of support, and pretty tough. I grabbed these from Zappos as a spare, as Hoka seems to “improve” my favorite models. Hoka products are solid all around and are one of the reasons I am still out there following some nasty injuries. I’m in my fifties and can’t stand excuses. Grab a set! If I had to leave my house in one set of footwear, no question I’d be in these. Drive on.

I already have the low top Stinson's and Speedgoats. I have knee and back issues so I need maximum cushion as long as the shoe is stable and this is. I hike in these and trade off shoes for every morning 2 mile hikes. I was reaching for the Speedgoats but now I am reaching for the Stinsons. I wish they made the low top in goretex so please consider that for the design team. I hike in early am and there is always wet grass from dew. Love these shoes and they keep me hiking despite my joint issues. The Stinsons run larger than the Speedgoat so I use think socks for my size 12.

Cushy soft, great toe box space, and when you put them on it feels like you just want to move forward. The soft cushion is perfect to keep your feet from hurting on 15+ mile hikes, and helps with the knee strain on the long downhills. After for 3 years hiking in the Colorado Rockies, I went to buy a new pair and find that they're discontinued! Best pair of hiking boots I've ever owned, and I'm 50 so I've owned a lot of them.
Tried on the Anacapa 2, Kaha 2 and both felt flat and uninspiring. The Ten-Nine is better than those, but still not even close to the Stinson Mid GTX!
Hoka please bring them back! I'm begging!

The comfort of the shoe is great. The online pictures of the shoe were misleading. Those pictures made the shoe to appear to have some brown in them. Of course they do not. The color in the pictures was a large reason for my selection. So the color was a disappointment. And in regards to size, this shoe needs to be offered in Wide. I am a little disappointed with the hooks for the laces. Not a big fan of the hooks thus far, still adjusting.

I’ve been a HOKA wearer for the past 8 years. They make the best sneakers as far as I’m concerned. The first time I tried on my HOKA ONE ONE TOR Ultra’s I was immediately hooked. I knew I found “my shoes” — it was like coming home. That model has been discontinued unfortunately. But I just received my new HOKA ONE ONE STINSON Mid Gore Tex and I have the same smile on my face I had with those very first ones! Did I mention I love these? ZAPPOS is a really great company too!
