Unfortunately we had to return it as it was not as wide as needed. Other Hokas have been in steadfast rotation, however these just did not work. It's ok. We will keep trying with Hokas.

Great shoe for muddy or boggy trails. All the benefits of standard Speedgoat plus dryer feet.

Okay so I have just about 50 miles in the Speedgoat GTX. I haven't run in wet conditions that much but the ride has been great. The tread has been great for my hikes in the Red Rocks of Sedona and for the New England winter coastal roads and trial runs. I have been extremely pleased and look forward to logging in some more miles.

First time owning a pair of Hoka Shoes. Glad I found them. On my feet 8+ hours a day. Spills/water don't penetrate the shoes. Feet stay dry, warm and comfortable! Will definitely be buying another pair!

After a long search for hiking boots/shoes, these were perfect. I tried several Hoka One One boots and a pair of Vasque boots and none had what I was looking for. After reading several articles about hiking shoes, I decided to try these trail runners instead. Great cushion and support for my high arches. I did not experience the issues with the tongue like other reviewers...maybe because I was wearing Darn Tough lightweight hiking socks? I love these shoes! Have done a few 2 miles hikes to break them in since the GoreTex makes them a bit stiff. They might run a bit narrow so if you have wide feet definitely plan for that. Planning a 6 mile hike for later this week. Would definitely buy again!

I am not sure why I did not buy this shoe earlier. Awesome support, great shoe for PNW trails. Feet are dry, warm, and well supported. Traction is great!!!

I find myself regularly lacing up in these for both snow and rain, and I can splash around in puddles up to my ankles and be totally dry! The lug depth is more than enough for gravel and dirt, although you will be wobbly over deep mud.

Wore them around the house for couple days first, seemed tight. Took them on 4 mile hike today and they performed great. Love that they are waterproof and warm. Thanks!

I bought this shoe for everyday wear as a grocery store employee. I wanted something with superior traction and comfort that I could also wear for some moderate hiking around Los Angeles. I found that these felt a bit tight in comparison to the Kaha Gore-Tex Hiking Boots (which I also bought in the same size), but after a couple of times wearing them they stretched out a bit to form to my foot. I took these up to Vasquez Rocks north of Los Angeles to do a little bit of light climbing. The traction on a steep rock surface really exceeded my expectations and I was able to scale a sloped wall much more easily than I had expected. I also wore these for a day outdoor in a some moderate rain and they did a great job in keeping my feet dry. I'm looking forward to seeing what other adventures I can find for in these. I would definitely recommend these. If you are between a half and a full size then you may want to consider sizing up to the larger of the two.

I've only wore them for 3 runs so far (almost 15 miles total). Winter weather is sloppy and slushy where I live. So far they work great. My feet are dry and so far these are the most comfortable pair of gortex Sneakers I have run in (I've had Nike,Saucony, Salomon and North Face before).

Fits tight. Great quality. Great as a everyday shoe. Did not like the shoe for arduous hiking but that is due to planar fasciitis
When sitting my feet get uncomfortable. Shoe is narrow

Walk/ run intervals. Feels like the ground isn't even there when I run. Wish the toe box was wider and the rest of the shoe normal size.

I'm a teacher and a soccer coach so I am on my feet all day long. These shoes give me the cushion I need for the concrete floors of the school and traction I need while coaching on the soccer field.

Went for an extended shelter-in-place in the northwoods. But forgot to bring along waterproof trail running shoes. Needed to buy trail shoes to jog and walk the dog on wet dewy mornings & slushy days. With sensitive and problem feet I have been committed to Hoka One One running shoes for a long time. So I bought these. They have been reliable and perfect for my use. Bought the orange version hoping it would help deer hunters see us coming. At 1st, I thought "wow, these are bright (and they highlight my big feet)". But now the color is great and just the right upbeat colorful statement even for an old guy. Only one minor complaint. I have quite narrow feet. Yet one of my small toes seems to rub on the outside edge of the shoe. I'm attributing this to the GoreTex waterproof material not stretching or flexing as much as the regular running shoes. Still, they've met my waterproof shoe need.

These shoes perform well for me in my capacity as a soccer referee. I consider them a key piece of my uniform- looking good and keeping me performing at my peak in all weather conditions.

I have had problems with plantar fasciitis in the past. I started wearing the Speed Goats a few years ago for daily use, hiking and when I play golf. The Speed Goats Vibram sole design gives me good stability and traction even when playing golf.
