Longtime Bondi user (I go through about 4 pair per year). But the Bondi's are somewhat heavy and the uppers are, well, pretty low tech. I was excited to see the new Elevon 2. The upper is way better. The previous version of the Elevon was WAY TOO HARD. Felt like a racing flat and lots of people complained. Hoka advertises version 2 as being "30 percent softer." Bulldung! Hard as rocks. They're going back and my latest Bondi 6's are on their way. If you love Bondi's, forget about the Elevons!

I have been running in HOKA's since the beginning. First I was a Conquest guy, then moved on to the Vanquish models which gave me sub-3 hour marathons times, and now I am an Elevon man. The Elevon 2 improves on all the imperfections of the original, which was an amazing shoe in and of itself. First off, I am an ultra runner, logging 90+ miles a week in addition to a weightlifting routine. I have a very high arch on my foot and land on the forefront of my foot like a ballerina when I run, that is my style I guess. This shoe accommodates these subjective running factors. As for the improvements from the original Elevon shoes, the tongue on the earlier model of tended to dig into the top of my foot sometimes. They have rectified this with a newly design for the Elevon 2 which I love - trust me you never seen a shoe tongue like this one. The older Elevon's shoe laces always had to be tied in a double knot to prevent them from becoming untied, and even then they would come loose on longer runs. The Elevons 2 have redesigned their laces with material that tends to hold when tied so you don't have to stop. I love the dark color design of the new shoes. As with the previous model, these shoes have maximum cushioning while maintaining a lightweight build - they are very, very ergonomic. I plan on doing my next ultras in these bad boys.

I just recently purchased a pair of the Elevon 2's for work. I am on my feet for 10 hours and work in an ED. My feet feel great at the end of the day and so does my legs and back. I also just purchased a pair of the Bondi 7's for my everyday use. I am extremely happy with both purchases and will continue to purchase in the future as these will be my first 2 pairs ever and my feet couldn't be happier!

This is my first pair of Hoka's and I am happy with them so far. Only covered about 6 miles, but the difference in cushioning from other shoes is very noticeable. I am a bigger guy at 6' 4" and 225 pounds so I wanted a shoe with extra cushion. I have had knee and hip pain in the past and so far these really help out with those issues. Quality seems excellent as well, but only time and miles will tell.

Love the shoes. Great shoe for people serious about protecting their feet. Really would love to see a better color selection.

I'm 69 yrs old with bad knees and a hip replacement. I use the shoes for walking and find the cushioning helps relieve the knee pain. I can spend more time moving and walking before I need to get off my feet for a rest. I have no complaints at all with the quality or comfort of the shoes.

I have been dealing with debilitating plantar fasciitis and these shoes have completely alleviated the pain. They are like walking on clouds.

I am currently at 400 miles with these. I have done fast intervals, 15+ mile runs, and have raced a half-marathon so far. I supinate pretty heavily but didn't start to wear the rubber down to the foam until around 300 miles. I would assume I still have about 100 miles left in them, maybe more because they are plush (but not too plush, like the Bondis). I 'd buy them again but they are just too expensive!

First, the shoes look awesome and for the right runner, I bet they are great. For me, they get an average rating. Coming from the Clifton 6 wide, I'm not sure how these are classified as plush. I am a mid-foot strike runner and the Elevon 2 doesn't feel nearly as plush as the Clifton. I'm guessing a heel-striker might find them more plush than I do. They aren't available in a wide but they feel even more narrow than the Clifton 5 knit was. I had to straight lace them which gives me the width I need; but the asymmetrical tends to slide around. Overall, if you have an average foot width and are a heel-striker, I'm betting that these shoes will feel amazing.

I bought the white and teals. They look great but the cushioning feels barely better than Nikes or Adidas. Not even close to the comfort the speed goat offers. I agree that the lacing system is weak - I think they were going for light weight similar to a fly knit but it feels flimsy. Without the extreme comfort I expect from Hoka, I may return. They look really good for Hokas but just don't have the comfort that drive me to buy Hokas over other popular brands.

The 1st pair started falling apart after wearing them twice - the tongue material is not sewn together. The glue they use does not stick barely at all and the two materials that make up the tongue of the shoe fall apart from each other after minimal wear. We exchanged these for another pair and the same thing happened again after 1 week of wear. So frustrating. I think the company needs to correct this design flaw or pull the shoe off the website.

Allow me to start off with my physical description, I think it may be the cause of my rating. I am six feet, 235 pounds. I work free weights, I squat double my weight and bench more then I weigh. I run 5-7 miles Monday through Friday, and 10 miles every other Sunday. I am also a mountaineer and hiker so my feet are very attended to. I started off with the Bondi 7 as a recommendation from a friend. I fell in love instantly. After logging a little over 800 miles running on these shoes, I needed a new pair. I thought I'd try the ELEVON 2. The first two miles they were wonderful, They fit so perfectly, and they were cushioned exactly where they needed to be. Around mile four, my heels started feeling like they were being stabbed, and I had to quit because of the pain at mile five. I even had difficulty walking to my car. The pain stopped within minutes of taking off the shoes, and the shoes went back the next day. I exchanged them for the good ole Bondi 7, but they split the heel in this shoe as well, causing the same pain. I feel slightly betrayed because of this. My favorite shoe and I can't run in them anymore. Would I recommend these shoes, not to people built like me, but to a lighter person, I would. I guess there goes my fantasy of being sponsored by HOKA in my goal of the Seven Summits.

I help coach a travel softball team, and I'm on my feet for long periods of time on weekends. I've tried several shoes, but the built in arch supports hurt my feet. Being able to select a shoe without them as well as select a thick soft sole has made my all day events great. I will definitely buy Hoka again!!

They are so great that when I got all of my use out of the first pair I ordered the exact same ones again, even though I have other styles as well.

I now own this shoe in three colors and am waiting on a fourth color to come back in stock. It is the most comfortable Hoka shoe that I have tried, and I have tried nine pairs now.

I stand on my feet most of the day, high end plaster is the craft. My feet feel great at the end of my day. Would 100% recommend this platform of shoe for extreme comfort for people on their feet for long periods of time. Only thing I'd say I had to return and get half size down from my normal. So did my wife. Meaning they run a little bigger than normal. Figure out your size and it's a shoe for life !

Anytime I would go jogging or any type of excuse with any other shoes. My scar tissue in my ankle would start acting up quickly. Basically almost 3 minutes into my runs. With these shoes, they take most of the impact for my foot, causing less pain. I have tried other running shoes (that is suppose to take the impact) and shoes with custom inserts, can not compare to hoka!
