I own four pairs of Hokas. They're all black, except for one, and that one I wear only on the treadmill. I don't have any Hoka hiking boots, because of the colors, and I want some. The Women's Speedgoat Mid Gore-Tex 2 hiking boots would look great with all my jeans, but only in the color that has been granted only to MEN. The men's color is a nice black/gray but the women's color is, predictably, aqua. I am NOT wearing aqua boots. Hoka, your shoes are totally awesome, but the colors you put on women's shoes are terrible. Please provide neutral colors for women. By neutral, I mean black, grey, brown, beige, taupe, or maybe olive green. Not blue, aqua, pink, or salmon. Please think about how you're giving all the good colors to men, and all the awful colors to women. Thank you.

I absolutely LOVE my Hoka Ones! They are the ugliest shoes I've ever owned, and they are like hiking on pillows! They are both highly cushioned and sturdy with support. I step with confidence through the mountain hikes on which I wear them! LOVE THESE SHOES. But for heaven's sake, hire a new industrial design team! They're hideous! The bright side of their looks is that no self-respecting bear would ever attack me while I'm wearing these...so there's that.

I LOVE these shoes!! I wore them out of the box (risky, without breaking them in) on a traverse over 5 Rocky Mountain peaks this weekend...they were so comfortable! I had no issues at all with blisters or rubbing. We hiked 12 hours straight on Saturday, and my feet were the only thing that didn’t hurt. I’m not sure this was the BEST place to wear them, on extremely steep mountains, because they were ever-so-slightly sloppy when traversing sidehill, even after tightening them. So I didn’t like how my feet sort of slid off the footbed sometimes, but it was worth the trade-off for walking on these clouds! My one critical point - I wish the area at the top/ankle was not so thick and puffy, I wish it was more like neoprene. But they are completely waterproof and beyond comfortable! I think they were a wee bit on the wider side because I have wide feet and they didn’t feel super snug. I got my regular size, 10.5 (I know, right? I blame my children) and they were great. I’m a forever Hoka fan!!

I am a 60-year-old woman and I'm walking across America in stages. After 892 miles I discovered Hoka shoes and I fell in love. They are like walking on clouds! My knees and hips are having trouble keeping up with my HAPPY FEET!! Only about 2400 miles to go and I intend to walk them in Hokas! I wish I hadn't waited to long to try them, but I'm now hooked on Hokas!!

I have been running in Hoka's for 5 years, and was eager to try these boots for some fall and winter hiking. I ordered my normal size and was truly shocked at how narrow they were. I do NOT have wide feet by any stretch, and to find a shoe that is too narrow for me is rare. I was super bummed. I wanted to LOVE them, but had no choice but to return. I rate these as feeling a "full size" too small, to reflect the width, not length (just to be clear.)

This is my 3rd Hoka WP Trail Running Boot. First 2 were Hoka's Tor Tech Mid. Advice: If your normal size has always fit in your Hoka shoes, don't listen to anyone else, and order the Hoka size that has been working. In my case, these Hoka mid boots fit my normal shoe size perfectly. However, initially, my salesman selling me these Speedgoats Mid insisted I go a half size bigger, even though my last 2 Hoka Tor Tech boots fit my true size exactly. When I told the salesman there was too much room in the toe (in the 1/2 size bigger), he said that is the way it is supposed to be, and everyone orders the Speedgoat a 1/2 size larger. But, they were way too big, and their was no way I could wear them. So, I ended up having to exchange them for my normal size -- which fit perfectly. Although I am disappointed in the salesman, who is a retailer for Hoka, I realize the value of a company (Hoka) that consistently sizes shoes close to a true fit, year after year. My advice is if you have good luck with Hoka shoes in your normal size, start with that first. These shoes are stable in running trail and rocky country roads, and also sprinting on tracks. Right out of the box. I have never needed any break-in time. The fabric at my ankle doesn't even rub. They are light weight, yet are sturdy enough that you don't feel branches or rocks that you are running on. The colors (though unusual), are beautiful. More slip resistant than other shoes, including on ice. (But get winter ice cleats if you need better traction on ice). Eyelets and laces are designed to be adjusted to each part of your foot, so you get a secure, but comfortable fit. I wouldn't recommend wearing these in a manufacturing/warehouse type of job because it wears out the toe too fast. I noticed that using them only for running gets the maximum life out of them. Don't know yet if these Speedgoats are as waterproof as the Tor Tech.

I have a bunion, hammer toe on each foot, nerve damage from surgery and Hoka athletic shoes are the best, every pair I have ordered ( 5 now) allow me to be as active as I want to without foot pain. The hiking Hoka is fantastic, lots of cush an plenty of support , just finished a hiking marathon sponsored by Fairfield Glade,TN and my feet still feel great.

Not my first pair of Hokas but one of my faves. Walking daily in snowy, icy conditions and my feet stay warm and dry. Even with added YakTrax they still feel feather light. Hokas were recommended by my rehab MD, so I threw out all my other brands and bought 3 pairs the same day-have never looked back. The only shoe for me-even have the flip flops and love them! My husband has ankle and knee issues and is now a convert.

I'm a plus size runner that needs cushion and support for all types of weather. These are great. I have had them for a month. I just got back from a 3 mile run in about 3 inches of fresh snow and my feet, knees, and back feel great. Great balance of support and cushion. Fit true to size. I'm a 9.5 and I have plenty of space in the toe box. Good ankle support for off road running. Love them. Would buy again. I hope they last long because they are pricy.

It's a perfect fit. I have a narrow foot and the regular width feels great with a wool sock. Plus, I can run in it. Great cushion and light weight.

I took these boots on their maiden hiking voyage to the Colorado Rockies, then to Hawaii during the rainy season. They performed outstandingly in both conditions! I wore these on slippery, rocks, through a swamp, across river crossings, and on steep muddy sections. It was clear during slippery hikes that my shoes outperformed others on the trail. I absolutely love them and will buy them again and again!

I purchased these shoes after searching for shoes with ankle support and I prepared to stqart bearing weight on my right ankle after surgury 6 weeks prior. They fit like a glove. I wear an 8.5 and ordered 8.5. I have a narrow heel, and a high arch, so those that say they are snug are probably right. As I am still wearing an ankle brace that takes up room in my shoes when beach walking, yard work, etc. I am only wearing my Hokas when walking short distances without the ankle brace. I would recommend these for someone who needs extra ankle support. Worth the money.

THESE ARE THE ONES! Last year I started working at an Amazon FC and I needed comfortable shoes with ankle support. I knew nothing about Hokas until I went to REI where they had these. These are EXTREMELY comfortable, I am on my feet on concrete floors for 10.5+ hours a day and my feet do not get fatigued. These fit true to size and offer great ankle support. Although they are not a true "narrow" shoe, they are really great if you have narrow feet. After wearing these for 7.5 months for 40-55 hours per week, they are only just now starting to show some wear. I do wish there were more neutral colorway options available, but the teal and gold with the black upper has kinda become my signature now! Worth every last penny.

The most comfortable "hybrid" Sneaker/Boot I have EVER worn! I live in the mountains and started running a bit. I feel safe in these, they have a nice grip even on my gravel backroads. Thank you Hoka! I am a fan!

Own two pair of HOKAs, had them for over a year. love them Size 10. Brought two more pairs of HOKA with waterproof lining. One pair toe box to tight with lining. Second pair with bulky stitching inside right ankle. Send them both back, with free shipping, awaiting exchange of one pair and refund for the other.

Ugh. Sorry, but these shoes are awful. I love the high tops I purchased years ago and they are still going strong. These are so uncomfortable...it seems their shoes in general have change because I can no longer wear them. :(. A couple other people have said the same thing as well.

I purchased these hoka trail running shoes. They did not provide enough arch/medial support. The worse thing is they are very difficult to put on/take off. Had to tighten for support, but very timely to Loosen and tighten laces, especially after trail running. Hooks for laces would have been better.

These are like hiking in shower shoes, and you'd be about as safe. If your idea of hiking involves decent altitude gain and several terrain changes, avoid these at all costs and save your money. If you like to hike on flat surfaces only, these are for you. The traction on the sole is decent-ish, but the footbed is much too soft and the side support is non-existent, so omg my ankle! The lacing system is not supportive, which especially stinks for downhills (which already stink, let's be honest, because old person knees, ow). Also, the lack of traditional hiking lace hooks at the top of the lacing makes them a real pain for getting in and out of. I didn't expect them to be waterproof, and they're not, but that doesn't usually bug me anyway, I hike around too much water to really expect dry feet. I have no idea what made me keep these hiking boots, I don't know why I didn't return them, and I especially don't know why I insisted on hiking in them all summer. I have several pairs of Hoka running shoes, resting shoes, and even the sandals, and all those are great. But these hiking boots absolutely do not work.
I'd also recommend:
