Lots of hard edges on the interior especially the tongue. Legs and hips hurt much more after a run wearing these as opposed to other Hoka shoes I've used. Think I'm gonna need to give up and drop a bundle on another pair of shoes before I go lame.

The fit and size were okay. I didn't like the new tongue at all. It was too thin and the slit at the top made the laces (at the top) bite into my skin, even with thick socks on. I liked the earlier, thicker fabric much better. Also didn't like that the tongue was a contrasting color to the rest of the shoe. The shoes were shipped in a plastic bag instead of the usual box, and the shoe box was badly damaged. I love Hoka shoes, but not this pair.

I wanted to love these but they caused me pain. Super tight around the toes. I ordered a 10.5 as I usually get a half suze larger (better if working out or wearing all day at work for swelling/soreness). These squished my toes and caused blisters. They also rubbed my heel wrong. I absolutely love the hiking shoe by hoka so this was a big difference and disappointment. I am in the process of getting these exchanged for the bondi 7. Fingers crossed they are better.

I was excited to get these but they are not as comfortable as people claim they are. The cushion I expected is not what I received. The shoe laces are terrible at staying tied and the tongue is short where it becomes annoying. I rather of gone with Nikes or even New Balance. I'm in the Army and do a lot of running these won't be used for that but just a look that isnt even appealing. I was advised to go one size up which was also a terrible idea. Nothing like going into a store and trying them out I will stick to that. First and last time I buy shoes online.

This is the wrong shoe for the gym. I wore them once. They hurt my feet, didn't feel secure and I did not realize it had the split tongue. I have 3 pairs of Hoka's- this style just didn't work for me.

The fit was a fine, the shoe was okay compared to the Bondi I previously had. Main complaint is one side begin to have a squeak not very long after I started wearing them and hasn't stopped since. I'm on my feet all day and work in a nursing home so it pretty annoying to me.

The cushion underfoot seemed very nice, but just a 2 mile walk gave me blisters by my heels. The forefoot is narrow, as expected with Hoka vs Altra or Topo, but the heel pain is why I returned them.
Return process is a bit long and iffy, but seems to be finally processing.

Though I was able to pull the laces tight enough to keep my foot from sliding around, this retracted the tongue (too short) enough that the laces at the top cut into my foot. Very uncomfortable. I returned them.

The elevon 2 sneaker has the worst tongue I have ever witnessed on a sneaker of any kind. First off it is paper thin, and when I say paper thin I'm not exaggerating at all. Needless to say upon tying them the least bit snug it feels as though you're tying a string over your barefoot. Secondly after about a half hour of wearing them, the tongue completely disappears off to one side or the other.... Horrible. And don't bother contacting CS because they don't respond.

The almond color is fabulous! I have high arches and this shoe was too tight in the instep even when loosening the shoestrings significantly. Sadly, i had to return. The Bondi style fits my foot just fine, but not this one.

The fit was good and the shoe bed were comfortable and supportive. The tung of the shoe felt like a hard plastic and dug into the front of my ankle causing sores/cuts. It might have worked had I worn longer socks, but I opted to return for a different style. The return and exchange was quick and easy.

I ended up getting the mach 4 instead and like it a lot for walking on treadmill and paved walking trail .
The women's elevon hurt my heel and felt big in places , not a good fit for me .
Also as far as recommending I do recommend Hoka , you just have to find the shoe that works for you I'm sure elevon is a good shoe

I love the color of these shoes! I have the oil blue/white. I also love the color of the lead/pink sand. However, the forefoot is so built up that I felt like the heel was actually lower. I had a very difficult when going uphill. I will have to return these. I bought a pair of the Gaviota style. My walk/run went much better this morning. I also think the Clifton 7 would be another good choice. Hopefully the Gaviota will be a good choice for me. Hoka, please put the oil blue/white or lead/pink sand on other styles!

These shoes were disappointing. They felt 1/2 size too big lengthwise but felt too narrow width-wise, I hate the non-padded tongue, & cushioning does not feel plush-maximum. I’m a big Hoka fan and have numerous road running tennis shoes from them, even the predecessor Elevon. Bring back the old Elevon! It was soooo much better than this version!

I've worn out my older Elavon's; the new pair has a stiff, thin tongue that rubs and irritates my feet. Sadly had to return the shoes.
Asked customer service to pass this comment along; the rep said just write a review instead. Here it is, lots of people would love the "old" tongue on the new shoes PLEASE!
