I LOVE Hoka and they have always been my favorite running shoes. However, I just bought these as an upgrade from my Cliftons and have a huge complaint- the tongue on these shoes is a super stiff and sharp material. I've never seen a tongue like this on a running shoe. The friction from the tongue on my ankle when I run has resulted in really painful scrapes and blisters from where the skin has just been rubbed off. I am really not a huge complainer nor am I an avid reviewer of products- I'm 21 and a college student with better things to do- but this seems like a design flaw so I feel like it would help to make someone aware that these shoes hurt really bad. My ankles are super bloody and gross and I'm trying to train for a half marathon, so running long miles results in some gnarly ankles in these shoes afterward. Wear long socks!!

Categorized as plush, I felt this didn't have enough cushioning under the forefoot. I am a petite 53 year old medium mileage runner who needs more cushion as I get older. Thank goodness for Hokas wonderful return policy. Ended up going with the Bondi 6, which I love!

Took the Elevon 1 out for a run. They look and feel great but calf and heel still sore 4 days later. I'll wear them on walks from now on. I need more cushioning and will stick with my Cliftons from now on.

This women’s size 8 1/2 fell in the range of what appears to be the current unisex pitfall. Big shoe probably a size and one/half to big. For a full size foot. Turned it right around and sent back.

I love Hoka because of how much cushioning there is . I'm a little bigger than the average runner, so I need the plush soles. I really wanted to like these sneakers, but I think I'll be returning them. The tongue is very uncomfortable, and the lacing is offset which makes it hard to sinch down the laces. My heel slips a lot as well. I ordered the regular width, but they feel very narrow. I have been SO happy with Hoka in the past, but for the money, these shoes are disappointing. I hope to get another Hoka that works for me, and not have to switch brands.

Hoka one one appears to be on the downslide in fit and style in a big hurry . I own 14 pairs of Hokas and now will not be ordering any more. I had hoped to be able to replace them with a dozen more in the same style I love, but Hoka discontinued that. The newer models appear aimed at quite wide feet., less cushion, and some odd sole shaping. I must drop this mic, sadly.

This show absorbs more shock impact and allows me to run again after knee and hip replacement!

I am so disappointed in Hoka One One. I have loved the Bondis for years, but the new Bondi 7 doesn’t fit. The toe box is too high and wide. So, I tried the elevon 2, which is supposed to be plush like the Bondi’s. It’s not, in addition, they have a weird lacing system that uses plastic tabs. After a short time they started digging into the top of my foot. I am distraught. I was a loyal Hoka customer, but now I will have to look elsewhere.

I don't know why it took me so long to get on the Hoka train, but now that I'm here Choo-Choo! These shoes are surprisingly lightweight for the cushioning, they fit perfectly and are true to size. I recommend them highly!

I took a chance buying the Elevon 2 after trying another popular brand, that is known for comfort. They hurt my feet so bad I had to return them. These shoes have the extra plush that my feet need. I am on my feet 8-10 hrs a day on concrete, and these have been perfect! The price tag really threw me off, I would NEVER EVER pay so much for shoes! But I was at a breaking point trying to find somfy work shoes. So far they have worked well for me!

I use these shoes as my daily walking shoe for indoor treadmill exercise. These shoes did not require any break in period, they were good to go immediately. I bought them because I had them before in another color and loved them. I walk about 6 miles a day in them, and the last pair lasted about 4 months before the sole wore out. I am not sure if that is typical for street use.

I have plantar fasciitis and bought these shoes at the recommendation of my chiropractor. I had never of Hoka before but she told me she would buy them back from me if I didn't like them. I am so glad I bought them! They are light weight, provide much needed cushion under my heels, and I can wear them all day.

This is it...This is THE ONE!! This is where style and comfort come together in perfect harmony. It is both plush and responsive. I have the Bondis as well, and I love them!, but it's sometimes too plush creating a delay in the responsiveness when you're making quick turns. The elevon 2 eliminates that delay. The lacing system works great with the cage which makes it a very stable shoe as well. I just wish there were more colorways. By the way, I'm a dude and went a full size up and the fit was still perfect! I just so happen to like the teal and off-white colorways. Please more colorways, like maybe an orange, purple, or yellow outsole. I'll get em all!!

I love them yes they are expensive but well worth it. I am a nurse and walk ALOT. Since wearing them my legs, back and feet don't hurt at all like they did. Most days not at all depending on my hours. But if my feet are uncomfortable the day/night I've worked long hours the next morning when I wake up my feet don't hurt at all. I have several different styles and colors and love all of them.

I bought the shoes for work, I'm a nurse and work twelve hours shifts, most of that time spent on my feet. These shoes have been amazing for comfort and support.

I have the Bondi 7 too and let's face it, they're ugly. All of them. Horrible look. Look like old women shoes. But I have the Elevon 2 in the black color and they are gorgeous! I am an ICU nurse and wear them to work and my feet always feel great and I'm not embarrassed of the way they look. I take care of covid patients and o come hone every day and wipe off my shoes with Lysol wipes on the porch then Lysol spray the material (probably not recommended) and you can never tell I've disinfected them every day and that it's not the first time I've worn them, they hold up great! Of course, I alternate my shoes to the Bondi and I wear my beloved Brooks glycerins to the gym, but these shoes are by far my favorite. I ordered a half size down like they recommend and they fit like a dream.

Day 10 and I have run/walked in them 9 our of 10 days. I've had zero to minimal (1 on a scale of 1-10) foot pain. Zero while running or walking and a very minimal amount of soreness hours later, but that is a huge improvement from before I started running in my Elevon 2.

I'm not a runner cant do much walking as an exercise either. I have terrible knees, wear braces on both when doing any walking. I have purchased every kind of shoe and with every price tag, and I have to say Hoka's are the best I've found thus far. I have probably 6 pair and these Elevon 2 being my most recent. I love them! Yes the tongue is little stiff as others have complained but I wear ankle socks and don't have any problems. I highly recommend and I recommend the recovery ora slip on they have available as well. If you have bad knees there is less impact on knees when wearing either of these shoes. Splurge on yourself! They are worth every penney!

Totally devoted to Hoka One One shoes! With my extremely high arches, I was desperate to find a shoe that would support with maximum cushion and stability. This is my fourth pair and I will continue to purchase Hoka's!! The only thing I would change about this particular shoe is the tongue doesn't seem to be wide enough. When putting on the shoe, I have to ensure the tongue is not twisted on the edges. Other than that? love! Sharon J. Temecula CA
