I got these to go along with my Hurricane Tevas and they've already become my go-to pair. The cushion feels like walking on a cloud, yet there is plenty of grip and stability to go along with it. The extra padding on the straps keeps them comfortable for the full day and I've found myself finding any excuse to wear them.

I love the feeling, it's really comfortable, but it got sand inside, and it's quite hard to remove it.

They're fine, but I probably should have gone with the Hurricane. They're not especially comfortable for long walking. They run a bit long as well and I find myself tripping a bit when I walk which is severely scuffing up the front.

Delivery problem. You should not have accepted Box 201 as my address, since UPS does not deliver to a PO Box. I had to pay $8.00 and drive to a UPS depot to pick up my FANTASTIC TEVA sandals.

These shoes fit all in the right spot. The extra padding on the heal and inside toe is so nice. However, the 9s for me were a bit small on the sole and my toes almost hit the edge but the 10s had way too long of straps that hung off. Therefore I went with the 9s because I didn't want the straps dragging. I wish there were half sizes in this case lol

The Universal Trail is the classic Teva sandal, but with a rugged Vibram sole. Combined with padded straps, it is ideal for longer walks and light hiking. This is the sandal you should wear if you intend to be on your feet for much of the day. While twice the price of the standard Universal, the thicker Vibram sole is very durable and generally seen only on higher-end hiking sandals, which generally sell for the same price (if not more).
Like the standard Universal, these run fairly large. I normally wear size 10 and I had to size down to 8 to get a proper fit. And the back strap is not adjustable, which I would have preferred. If you need an adjustable back strap and still want a more rugged sandal, consider the Hurricane.

These sandals are REALLY comfortable and great for walking/mild hiking. I'm on my third pair as I usually size up in TEVA (8 wide/8.5 is my go to, but most models I end up in a 9). Wore the 9 for a few months, felt like I was constantly stubbing the toe overlap on things. Sized down to an 8, felt the same thing. Finally ended up in a 7 and that feels perfect- they're wider than the standard universal and the neoprene lining of the straps makes them way more comfortable/adjustable for wider widths. Good traction on the outsole and decent support on the arch.

Pretty comfortable... but straps could be even more comfortable.

The sandals are comfortable and feel great on the feet. I have long, very narrow, flat feet and so it it always a challenge to find something that fits. There is sufficient adjustment to accommodate that. It still does however require a break in period to avoid getting blisters.

I bought this in both the black and the dark olive. The image of the sandal looks brownish in the photo but when it arrived, it has much more of a greenish color. The sandal is very comfortable ( as of day one) . 5 star for comfort, minus 1 star for color. Returning the dark olive. Keeping the black. I wear a size 10.5 flip flop, 10.5 dress shoe and a 11 running shoe. The size 10 works great :)

I ordered five pair of sandals (Teva's, Chacos, Merrell) to try out for an upcoming trip. I didn't need a rugged sole for hiking, so all pairs were similar in that way. These were easily the most comfortable pair of all. They are soft under foot and don't make a slapping noise on hard surfaces. I didn't select them in the end because the sole was too thick and the style was really lacking (kinda bulky and ugly). I went with the Chacos even though they didn't have the cushion, the overall comfort was close and they had better style.

Just shy of a month in with these... couldn't review until they had at least one camping trip in the Rocky Mountains. My original pair had Teva's Spider Rubber; which I attribute to their durability... got their christening on the volcanic rock of Kauai followed by abuse in Moab so the new pair had a lot to live up to.
So far they're very comfortable but don't appear nearly as durable, the sole material in these more resembles flip flop material while the my previous pair's were more like that of hiking boots. Otherwise the comfort and quality appears to be there, I guess time will tell. I love the look and would probably even order them again.

I had a pair of Chacos for 6 years and wish i switched sooner. I have flat feet compared to the arches on chacos which are very high, plus, they don't come close to the comfort level of these tevas. Hiking on clouds

i've never been a sandal guy, but i was eyeing the universals for a while before i decided on the trail version. i was honestly very surprised on how well they held up on the trail. pretty good traction, ankle support, and cushioning. they also get style points for their thick sawtooth soles and they look great with socks for more casual outings. a few downsides are the lengths of the straps (both have a couple inches hanging off the ends when pulled snug) and the stretch of the heel strap (has a bit too much give which allows my feet more horizontal movement than i'd like). although my feet move around a bit in the sandals, i didn't have any issues with the straps rubbing and chafing. overall, happy with my first pair

Very comfortable and fit well. Only thing I would change is make the straps A bit shorter... they hang off when tightened

This is a fine shoe if you're looking for an overachieving flip flop.
I ended up buying other sandals because I was surprised by the flipflop like upper sole of this shoe. It's very springy like flipflops, but I was actually looking for something more suitable for hiking. Now that I've seen it, I don't think the word "Trail" should be in the name.

I bought these sandals for just kicking around town.. They're nicely cushioned and comfortable. Exaclty what I wanted. However, the front of the sole just keeps getting caught on steps, stairs, threshholds etc. Haven't fallen all the way down yet, but have stumbled awkwardly many times. Had to give them up.

The sandals are comfortable, but I don't really like the Velcro fastening.
I had a pair of Tevas with a clasp for 10 years. They were simple and durable.
I don't think this pair of sandals is going to last as long.

I chose this model on line because of the Vibram sole and implied suitability for hiking. I expected there to be a more ergonomic foot bed to compliment the sole. However, this was not the case and I found they do not provide me with sufficient arch support to walk any appreciable distance.

The strapping system is very comfortable but not enough shock absorption on the heel when walking, which for me is a deal breaker.

I love these for standing, working and casual walks. My only complaint is that they don't work well on trails. The grip is great but my foot slides around in the shoe. I've tried on a smaller size with the same issue

Purchased 2 pairs of the Universal trail: 1 in black, the other in CTCN, which is shown above. The CTCN fits perfectly and I love them. The black pair will be returned; the triangle that brings all the straps together sits right on top of the bone of my little toe and is completely uncomfortable, painful. I've tried adjusting all the straps but nothing works. Also, it seem the black straps are thinner than the multi-colored straps. I'm very disappointed as I really wanted a pair of the Universal trail in black.

All in all these are great sandals. Very comfortable for everyday use and hiking. However one thing i didn't like about my pair was the left sandal's straps are a bit longer than the right sandal. Making them look uneven when i wear them.
