Bought these to do some hiking in Shenandoah National Forest. These shoes held up well for day hikes on Appalachian Trail with great support and traction. Very stable on rocky paths.

Have been running in Gel-Fujitrabuco for years. Very good shoe. The rock protection plate is very necessary for rocky Northern Arizona trails. Shoe is sturdy enough and provides plenty of lateral stability as well, and grips terrain well. Have logged many miles in these shoes, and the Fujitrabuco 8 is just as good as previous versions. Recently tried the Sky model for fun, but quickly came back to trusty ol' Fave.

Much better than Trabuco 9 and my fave trail shoe ever. They need to keep making these shoes as they are rugged enough for actual trail use. The 9's were torn up in less than a year...

Thank you ASICS for this pair of shoes. Had trouble with my last order and they made it right. Great show!

Have taken these shoes on trail runs, as well as a variety of hikes (trail, rocks, and even through streams). Incredibly comfortable and durable. Great grip on slippery terrain. Highly recommend!

This running shoe is excellent - supportive, firm ride. No other trail shoe compares to it. The new versions of this shoe (the trabuco) are a joke compared to it. ASICS should keep making these shoes as they are, they are onto a winning formula.

The FujiTrabuco 8 are pretty awesome. They provide good structure and support while feeling lite weight. I forget they're on and enjoy the sneaker.

bought a month ago... am a heavier runner/walker (6'3", 225lbs)..wanted to lose some weight and get back in better (pre-covid) condition and use these on the trails about 3 days a week (the other days I use shoes better designed for the street/sidewalk) These shoes have quickly given me more confidence and stability on the loose gravel rocky AZ desert trails around Phoenix... makes it easier to concentrate on the run/walk instead of spending so much concentration on picking and choosing my footing or worrying about slip-sliding (on these trails and even with these shoes, you still have to pay attention though or you will get hurt)... these trail shoes were the right buy...didn't try many BUT.. feels like I got what I needed

Moving from summer trail shoes to winter and wanted something with a little more grip. I Usually run in Asics Glideride and Cumulus, but trail has been elsewhere. These are great for bombing about in my local woods as I have done so far. I have so much more confidence due to the outstanding grip on uneven muddy technical woodland trails. They aren't water proof, I was tempted to spend a little more for the GTX version but as the water quickly drains and I don't get any squelchyness I am happy with these. I have done a 10 mile happily and want to push them further. they are heavier that what I was used to but in terms of foot protection you know where it has gone. My toes are safe, the rock plate is great the sole feels solid but I can still feel what is happening. The responsiveness is great and I still get the cushioning that I am used to from my road shoes. I am surprised they don't weigh more. A great shoe that will have pride of place in my cycle for many moons.

Great pair or trail running shoes. Fits true to size and are very comfortable. Aggressive tread for confidence on wet and muddy terrain. Look great!

First time I have tried these shoes and they are terrific. Good fit for a slightly wide foot (size up 1/2 !), and excellent support and traction on medium-to-rugged trails. Truly, an excellent shoe. Highly recommended.

I am not a shoe connoisseur by any means, but this has to be one of the best shoes I've worn in my life (and the other is also made by ASICS). They're pretty sturdy for being made of foam-like material and you can feel the trail through them, but at the same time there's enough cushion to where nothing feels uncomfortable to step on.
The biggest downside, though, has to be the aesthetic. While the dark-blue and orange don't look too bad, some of the other color combinations are just plain terrible in my opinion.
Otherwise, these are definitely a solid buy and I highly recommend this brand in general. The GEL-KAYANO 27s that I got from them around the same time are also fantastic. I've had both pairs for a little over a month but they still look brand new.

Great fit. Comfortable and light. Grips well. Love the colors (Black/Navy with orange laces). I prefer these to my former pairs of Brooks Cascadia (which were also good, but these are better in my opinion).

Great shoe. I ended up getting a 12 instead of 11.5, but there wasn't a whole lot of difference between the 2. Looks good, comfortable, good traction.

I loved the fit, cushion, and arch support of the Kahana series and was disappointed to see that it seems to be discontinued. In the Fujitrabuco 8, I have found a shoe that has what I'm looking for. The fit for my slightly wider forefoot is great. The arch support is excellent and the overall stability is very good. The cushioning in the sole of the shoe is excellent, while the rugged outsole has the aggressive grip I like for hiking up rocky trails. For a shoe that seems pretty sturdy, they are still not too heavy. I look forward to trying these out on our local bluff this weekend.
