Why does Asics keep changing their shoe fit and cheapening their shoes? Seriously disappointed. I’ve bought probably 12 pairs of asics gel contend 3, 4 and 5 and these are HORRIBLE. Wayyyy too small, the entire shoe has been made compact” and squeezes my entire foot. Why does NO COMPANY ever change things for the better? Why are they always cheaper and uncomfortable with every upgrade?! ALWAYS!! Come on Asics. Get it together, you used to make the best shoes out there and now you’re going way down hill!!

At age 67 I noticed, over the past year that I started to wear out medial heels of my walking shoes and an alarming rate. My changed heel stricould make my shoes unwearable in less than 200 miles and I walk 8 miles a day. Inserts did not change the heel strike and I was noticeably "flat footed". I purchased the ASICS Gel-Contend 6 specifically for its pronation design and I'm glad to report that the shoe responds as advertised. I have been doing daily therapuetic exercises over the past 3 weeks to address my 'issue' and that along with this shoe makes my hopeful that I'll return to a normal gait in a reasonable time frame

At first they felt good. Nice and light but after a couple of weeks me feet really hurt. Was wondering if I could return them. I wore them its ok if I can't.

It feels a bit shorter than what we've expected. We ordered a size 11.5 men's shoes, however, it's better to be snugged than 'free forward' motion every step we take. The gel-content 2 has a small nice, but unnoticeable patches over the big toes area; we love that feature to prevent big toenails rub the fabric into holes. AND this gel-content 6 doesn't, just straight plain shoe tops which may not be your issues. That's why it received a 4 stars. We like the price Zappos offered.

Fit and size were on point. I'm a supinator (land on outside of my heels) and have pretty flat and wide feet, these shoes feel like heaven when I run. They're light but not super lightweight which I'm okay with, I'm not in good enough shape to run far enough that this would bother me. They're a 10/10 for me.

Our podiatrist advised our teenaged (14) son to try Asics instead of his usual Nike / Adidas running shoes due to chronic ingrown toenails. Asics are supposed to have a wider fit which would prevent his toes from being squeezed together. Although his Adidas look wide as well, the difference may be the additional side binders which may be more restrictive. Our son loves the fit and style of these, he has the regular width (not the W sizing).

Usually wear a 4e. These were 4e. Too narrow. Couldn’t even pull them on.

Lightweight but can handle daily runs and long walks. Solid shoe.

Great running shoe for my runs/jogs been doing this a long time (mid 1970s), so many miles! Always go to ASICS gel as first choice after trying many of top brands. BTW I am an overpronator.

I bought these for 12 hour warehouse work during my company's busy season, so far my foot and back pains have gone away since switching from regular street shoes to these athletic shoes. Asics for the win!

I felt these shoes fit true to width and size. I normally wear a 10 1/2 W or Extra W. These are very comfortable and have a lot of stability support.

Shoes on the heavier side but cushy and comfortable. Fit is true to size. Insoles are not removable. A decent shoe for the price.

Asics can be a tough call when it comes to width. Usually I can be very comfortable in a 2EE width, but I ordered these in a 4EE, and the width just made the cut. These Asics have excellent arch support and a comfortable toe box. I can wear a thin sock with these, but a heavy sick would cramp the shoe and make it uncomfortably tight.

Perfectly good comfortable Contender model - perfect for slimmer (but not fully narrow) footed kids. it's been our go-to for one child since size 5, but the width took a leap from size 7 to 7½. Still, these are great shoes, comfortable and long lasting.

I usually wear a 4E and these are 4E. When I first put them on, they felt snug. Loosened shoe strings and wore for a day and they are perfect. Very pleased. Support feels good as well.

not for sideling ground will stretch out of shape but good for flat ground.

I've been wearing Asic's for many years because they offer a 4 E width but my latest purchase is not near as wide as they usually are. I had the same problem with New Balance, they were great for many years and then the company changed the width and I could no longer wear them. I guess that I need to try to find another shoe company that makes 4E width running shoes.
