These shoes are great for trails around my house that have rocks, dirt, gravel, and slight up/downhill parts. I run and walk in them on the trails and they work great for both. Break-in time was almost nonexistent and they definitely cushion my feet and protect them from big rocks all around but especially in the toe area. The heel helps dig in to loose dirt and gravel.

I went up half size and got the 7.5/ 5uk and if feels good. They might be a little narrow on a average foot, but my narrow feet are at home. They have a firm sole and (to my surprise) a spongy padded berm or ridge that falls between the retrocalcaneal bursa and the subcalcaneal bursa in the heel. I am not sure how that is going to feel in the long run, but it makes the shoe fit snug. The sock like upper of the shoe is comfortable as is the sockesque collar ankle- make to keep out debris. I find the shoe to be light weight with heat sealed thin plastic that makes up the toe cap and eyestay. The lining is thin sock mesh with a thin padded tongue.
I'd also recommend:

Love everything about them! Period. Got them to use for hiking. I know they’re trail running shoes, but I hate hiking shoes. These will do the trick for me. It’s not a hard trail.

I struggle to find trail runners that fit my narrow ankles. I also pronate pretty significantly. I love these shoes! I get a lot of compliments on them, but I don’t think the top view is that flattering on the foot, especially if you have enormous feet like I do!

Comfortable, light, perfect for trials. So good, I convinced my boyfriend to buy a pair.

I normally wear a size 8 - i ordered an 8.5 because Nike runs small - i now have to order a 9 because the 8.5 was too small. Wow!

I have low arches and a wide toe box. When I added my inserts, it made the shoe much smaller and tighter. I still pressed on and hiked over 15 miles in Colorado, but my feet hurt the whole time. So, if you can roll with the issued inserts, you would be fine. Also, I wear a size 10, but always order an 11 in tennis shoes. FYI. Super cute, though, and I will keep wearing. This will only be an issue if you have a super wide foot in the toe box area.

These are probably best for a park trail and not the mountain trails I am used to. Fun colours.

At first I really liked the shoes but as I wore them I felt like they really did not fit my foot and gave me a backache.

Really chunky heel. I feel like I’m on platforms. I usually love Nike Kiger but these are too much for me and trail.

Worst trail shoe design ever. I have been running in the Nike Wildhorse for several years, and have always loved the shoe. As soon as I received the Wildhorse 6 I was skeptical. The entire outsole is narrower than on previous models, and if that's not bad enough for trail running stability, the edges are ROUNDED! The last thing a trail runner needs on technical terrain is a shoe that can hardly be walked in without causing ankle rolls. I tried running in these a handful times, but as I had anticipated, I was rolling my ankles constantly. Even walking the trails with these shoes caused constant ankle rolls. They quickly became lawn-mowing shoes. Extremely disappointed.
