I really liked the Glyercin 17s so I went with the 18s. After a little over a month and less then 100 miles I had some significant wear on the heel that I'd never experienced before. I returned the pair for a new pair and haven't had the same issue. I gave a 3 because I liked the 17s better and the wear on the 18s so quickly. I would still buy this shoe again.

Cushion was excellent and shoes are light weight. The reason I didn't gave 5 stars because for me personally it was missing the stability since I'm a big guy.
I'd also recommend:

Soft but starting to have knee pain. Will probably switch back to Ghost which seems to have similar cushion but seems more secure.

Have worn every model of the Brooks Glycerin since the 13's and have rated all of them five stars, except this one. The 18's obliterated my heels after short and moderate use. The heel tab is very thin/hard plastic at the tip and will eat up your heels. Never had this issue with previous versions of the Glycerin's. May have to consider switching to a different brand after this. Zappos, however, 5+ stars customer service as always!

Well, I put about 70 miles on before I wrote the review. As normal with past models, The shoe is nice right out of the box, and doesn't really require a break in period. This new 18 seems to be lighter and faster to me. With those aspects brings the short comings. I feel the cushion has gone, and there seem to be very little arch support. I have always been able to tell when this shoe starts to wear out (usually around 300 miles), and this one fells as though it is already close to that. Very disappointed with this model, but still going to continue to keep Brooks as my go to road shoe.

Feels like a completely different shoe compared to the 17. Not nearly as cushioned

15 were the best. Last pair was the 16 and my feet hurt. They need to go back to the 15. Listen to your customers that have enjoyed older models.

I've every pair since the glycerin 10's. The glycerin 18 are just okay. My picks are the 12,15 and the 17 version. -rob

I have always loved Glycerins and have run in them for many years, but this was a a step backwards for comfort in my opinion. Feels stiffer than the 17s even after 50 miles. Not horrible, but not what I was expecting or used to. Hoping they soften up a bit. Having trouble lacing these just right to keep them secure. Playing around with the heal lock for the first time ever. I will say there seems to be more forgiveness for landing. No matter mid-foot or heal striking, I still feel the cushion is there.

Size runs small and very narrow. I had to return my first pair and exchange for a size larger. Even the larger size does not fit right. They felt fine on short walks I did to test them. But they have since torn up my feet on even short jogs. I had rubbed the sides of my feet and heels raw. I do not recommend

Not a bad shoe overall, but a few complaints. I am a casual runner, that runs around 10 miles per week. I try to stay in shape for 5k's or similar events. Bought these in August 2021 and by December some of the fabric or material is already breaking down. The DNA may have a little too much cushion for bigger guys. As mentioned the soles, fabric, and some of the glue on the edges seem to be failing. Don't think i would purchase this model again.

Great shoe overall and been ordering it for years but the color selection's for the men's Glycerin 18 are just....not good!! Your design team kills it every time with the women's color choices as my wife love them but you really need to up your game on the men's color selections going forward!!

The shoe felt great and the most comfortable shoe I have run in for years. I have been wearing Asics for ever but decided to try the Brooks Glycerine and my run started out well but at about the 8 mile mark I kicked my right shoe and fell. I got up and continued the run but at the finish I realized I have a hole in my left shoe from the episode. I am very surprised and disappointed that I have a hole in my shoe from such a small incident.

Not as comfortable fit due to upper material as my other pair of Glycerins. Also not as soft sole on this pair of shoes which makes running a little less smooth.

I have been buying Glycerine's for 7 years now, because they are a neutral shoe and they worked well for my normal supination. Has this shoe been changed? I have only been wearing my new pair for about a week and it feels like I am walking on the outside of my foot (like the shoe has broken down already). I haven't missed a day of walking in over 7 years and don't want to open myself up to an injury due to a basic design change in the shoe.... I buy it because it worked for me and don't want it changed in any way!

I bought this shoe because of the good reviews rated it highly for supination. For me, the support wasn't enough; I rolled out of the left shoe within the first 15 miles. I am disappointed, to say the least. Because of my supination, I have been a life long customer of New Balance...Looks like I will have to stay with them.

I'm comparing these to the Gylcerin 16. These are a step back from what I'm used to in the Glycerin 16. The soles are much firmer and don't offer as much cushion. My feet never hurt after long runs in the 16s, after 5 miles in the 18s I had to stop. My feet and shins were hurting terribly. I'm going to try to find a pair of 17s.

I have ran in these new shoes for about. Think 10'days in a row of the 48th in a row! I paid a little more thinking that I would be more comfortable on the road running, and longer tread life!but I believe I will stick with a cheaper like the revel 3 or might try another one. I do love brooks over any kinda shoe that I have worn...this is prob the only time I felt like I was unhappy!maybe because I spent the extra money and did not get what I was thinking I was going to get..have a great RUN!! I run everyday for kids that have or had cancer! So I want to make sure I can keep running for a long time! We have a nonprofit called Praying Ninja Warrior Ministry

Not enough arch support. Seemed like a mediocre shoe for the price.

Tried a pair on and walked away. Way to stiff and hard, no where close to the 17's. Very disappointed.

17s felt way softer. I can't wait for you guys to lower the 17s then I'll probably just get 5 pairs of those

The insole is just incredibly flat. I used an older model and loved it but these just didn't feel right. It was really disheartening when both my feet were in so much pain the next morning from no support.

My husband was so disappointed. We had bought the Glycerin 17 previously, same size as this time, 15, EE. This time... felt way to small. his toes were at the very end of shoe and felt way to tight in width. He was so incredibly bummed. He had hoped for the "walking on clouds" feel had had with his old pair of shoes when he received them and was so not the case this time. Too bad. Back to square one.
