The soles felt like I was walking on plywood. Maybe if I put inserts in them, I could get some cushioning, but at this price I don't want to pay $40 for inserts.

The Forsake insole curves up at the side of the big toe. Not good for those with arthritis. Very handsome shoe.

Functional, warm — and cute. I wanted something other than my mesh-y sneakers to wear outside now that it's cold. I have plenty of boots, so I was looking for something with a lower profile. Love the look and the fact that this is waterproof. I have low-volume foot and usually wear 9.5 except in athletic/outdoor shoes, when I go to a 10. Started with the 10 in these and my foot was swimming. Exchanged for a 9.5 and it's perfect. Still a little roomy, but not noticeable with socks. They cute in a clunky sort of way. But SO comfy and warm (the warm-factor really surprised me!). Very pleased.

The fit of the shoe is great. I was initially concerned about what others had said about the toe area being to narrow/low but I did not experience that issue. I have very low arches so I usually need a lot of arch support and use my own insoles. So far I love the feel and look of the shoe!

I absolutely love these shoes. The soles add to my stability (ankle arthritis) which is vital for my balance. Love the look. I’ve received multiple compliments including one from my ortho MD. Can’t wait for more styles to be released including something for warmer weather. I’m a dedicated customer with three versions of purchases.

This is my 2nd pair of Lucie mid shoes. Perfect for walking my dog, 4 miles each am. My route is on paved trails; these shoes were comfortable right out of the box. No break in, which would've been a dealbreaker for me. I put them to the test in sloppy wet snow; my feet stayed dry. Perfect shoes for the shoulder seasons of spring & fall in northern Minn. I liked them well enough that I ordered the 2nd pair. I've recommended them to my fellow lady dog walkers.

I am so surprised - love them! Someone else said the insert felt like cardboard, but though firm, not at all uncomfortable. Good walking socks work great with them. Good toe room, nice fit around ankle and they look sharp as well. I probably would not use these for a ten mile hike...but great for walking my two Husky dogs. Another nice note: they came with an extra pair of shoestrings in green that match the boots. Nice if you prefer that to the nice brown they are shown with, or if your dog chews on them. :-)

I LOVE these shoes. Bought them for a trip at Christmas to drizzly Italy. Love they are waterproof. I acutally put in my own insole and I feel like they will be great for walking miles and miles. What's fun is they look like a sneaker. I will be able to wear them at home too. Fit true to size, wide toe box and downright amazing!

I wanted to love these boots so badly because the fit was perfect, true to size and they are very cute. Just what I wanted for a stylish, comfortable, somewhat warm and waterproof work boot. HOWEVER, I cannot keep them as they rub on my heels so bad when I walk that I just know I would get huge blisters. And unfortunately I don't think they would ever "break in". I think it's just the way the boots are made. I will be returning these. :(

These shoes are so stylish yet practical for places with increment weather. They're also very comfortable and waterproof on top of it all! I feel like they had great arch support as well. I also liked the back story of the Forsake story too. Unfortunately, they ran a half size smaller than what a 'normal' 10.5 feels like and I have to return them. I already snagged the next size up...sorry 11 sized friends

Totally in love with the Lucie Mid! I needed a great shoe for walking to work in any type of weather and this was everything I was looking for and more! Cute style, love the olive color, keeps my feet warm and dry! (Reasonably priced too!) Do yourself and get a pair!

This boot has nice comfy padding around the collar. However, there is a strange ridge/seam in the heel area, which I feel would rub when out on long hikes. The overall style was very nice. It seems like the D-rings would make it difficult to lace the shoe snugly, as well.

I bought these boots 3 years ago and they are still holding strong! I wear them almost every day. I walk a lot for work and I hike a lot with my dogs so they've seen thousands of miles and there isn't a single seam loose. And they're groovy fashionable! Forsakes for the win!!

Exactly what I was looking for. The olive green is a nice neutral to go with everything. They are holding up well to dirt and moisture on daily dog walks and I plan to wear them hiking as well. Very comfortable, and easily adjusted to thinner/thicker socks. I am keeping my eye out for a pair of Forsake boots for my husband now, too.

Love these. Bought them for walking in the city. I have plantar fasciitis and I bought them 1/2 size bigger and use my own arch inserts. These have a stiffer sole, which I prefer in a shoe. It always helps with my plantar fasciitis. Very comfortable and cute. True to size.

Fit and size was perfect.Was not tight and had a room for wide feet. Shoe is beautiful but no support for the heel and arch.

I really wanted to love this. But it left me feeling just ‘meh.’ It was very comfy, no need for breaking in. True to size, I wear a 39. The final straw was I didn’t like that my Achilles’ tendon got wet when when I walked outside in the rain. I love the concept of WP casual rubber sole sneaker-boot. As an example, I love my doc marten Sheridan 8eyes folded down. But they aren’t WP, sadly. I will have to keep looking. Thanks Zappos, love you!
