These shoes are very poor construction. The very first time I put them on, I tried to tighten the laces to tie them, and the teal binder that the laces go through snapped. First time. I am returning them.

I needed a shoe to best accommodate my vigorous power walks. I walk about 3 miles daily. Had tried many of the brands recommended for walking. Nope! They all had to go back. Too much cushioning in the other shoes made the muscles in my feet work too hard to maintain stability and the result was leg fatigue and foot cramps. I'd also always wear a hole thru top of those where my big toe would drag against the mesh fabric. This is my 2nd pair of Merrell trail shoes and I am now loyal to the brand. They hold up well, are stylish, comfortable and protect my feet. No toe holes either!

The size was perfect however sadly the arch support hit me in the wrong spot on my foot. The green shoes are super cute but I am returning them due to their fit

Liked my first pair of low hiking boots so much, I ordered a second pair

I really love some aspects of these shoes. They look great, and they have a nice, stiff shank, so I think they would give great support while hiking. However, I have very narrow, low volume feet, and these shoes dig into the inner sides of my feet. Given how narrow my feet are, I’ve never had that problem with fit. Perhaps the problem was due to my relative lack of arches. I’m sure they’d be just fine for a lot of people and I was bummed that I had to return them, but I knew they would make for miserable hiking.

Overall good sturdy shoe but I had way too much heal slippage. Have to return.

Good looking and sturdy shoe, but it felt too narrow which brought the arch support (which is greater than I'm used to) into a really uncomfortable position. Other styles in this brand and same size fit me, so I'm not sure what caused the problem.

These boots seemed true to size but there was too much room in the heel for me and I had a ton of heel slip. I had to send back. They were a good looking boot.

Fit perfect, been wearing them 8-10 hours a day for 2.5 full summer seasons. All of 2023, all of 2024, and untill now April of 25.. totally worth everything single penny!

Love these, my first Merrell shoes. Although they fit well, could be a bit narrower....an ongoing problem with my long, narrow foot, and shoes/boots! Wish Zappos would get option of A Width.

Love the Crosslander by Merrell. Wish I could find it in my size in men's, as women's shoes are too tight for my wide feet.

These shoes are super comfortable. They really grab the ground. I normally wear a 7.5 in hiking shoes, but the 7.5 were too snug at the toe and really did a number of my toenails! (they turned black from the constant friction against the shoe). I returned those and ordered a size 8 which fit much better. I have a pair of MOAB hiking boots that do the same thing and I can no longer wear them. This tells me that Merrell hiking shoes run small. Other than that I am very happy with the shoes.

These are my first Merrill shoes, and I find them a good fit, seem VERY well-made, and are comfortable just out of the box! They should be great for hiking.

I wore these for an easy hike and they were very comfortable. I also love that they didn't soak up the dirt, they stayed pretty clean compared to my hiking shoes with mesh tops. I am a solid size 9 in shoes and these fit perfectly in size 9.

I love these shoes! They are lightweight, durable and they really grip dirt, gravel and rocky terrain. I do a lot of hiking with my dogs up and down steep embankments and these shoes give me confidence that I won't slide or take a tumble. They also look great on my feet and somehow do not show all the dust and dirt that invariably lands on them.

Comfortable and stylish shoes ! I plan to wear them for walking . Love the color and style.

These are perfect for hiking and are thankfully water proof. I do recommend investing in some quality hiking socks.

These shies are cute but I would like to return them as they don’t fit my feet quite right. The arch support is in the wrong place for my foot. How do I do that?

I usually wear an 8 and I ordered those first, I'm a bit wide in the toes so often end up compromising on length since width options are rare. As others have mentioned my heel is also loose, lifting and I'm sliding forward so I ordered 7.5's . The fit is a little too close width for my old painful feet so I think they're going back and I'll keep the 8's. I'm looking for shoes for gardening and several pairs of Keen Targees are starting to cause my right foot to ache, I can spread my toes well enough in the 8's so thinking of keeping although they seem long. Cushy Darn Tough socks help a lot.

Pretty cute but for some reason not as comfortable as other Merrell shoes.
