Really liked these shoes, they were my go to for working in the yard. After less than a year, wearing them one day every other weekend at most, the top loop for the laces on one shoe failed. I've always thought the loops were suspect, but I figured with Merrell surely it would last. That was wrong! You can see in the picture the shoes look barely worn, just that big ugly busted loop. What a shame.

Great fit and support, I especially like the extra room in the toe box. Merrell's are always perfect the first day - no need to break them in. I walk A LOT and I've tried several brands out there... Merrell's are by far the best!

The size matched my other Merrill's perfectly. The shoe has more of a "Walking" shoe appearance and I don't know if it will be as tough as their other shoes. The fit is firm, like their hiking boots, without the heavy look.

I purchased as a work shoe for my husband for Christmas. He wore them to work the very next day. The top string loop on one broke. Not too happy about that! I don't think they'll hold up too long.

The shoes fit perfectly straight from the box. I walk every day (with my dog) and we either walk through the neighborhood, across an equestrian trail, or through the canyon (sometimes all 3) and the shoes work perfectly.

These shoes are awesome! Great fit straight from the box. They do feel a little wide, which I personally like. Normally I wear 4EE in tennis shoes. And these were sold as medium, so I bought them thinking I’d have to return them. But they are extremely comfortable.

Had trouble getting laces to lace up in a comfortable way and to stay tied. Tongues constantly slipped to one side. Not enough cushion throughout. Tried a separate thicker insole, but it made them too small.

I have enjoyed Merrell products for years however these shoes are the most uncomfortable Merrell product I have purchased to date. The shoes are very stiff, to the point that the arches of my feet were unbearably painful. I really wanted to like these shoes, but ended up returning them thanks to Zappos return policy.

I bought the shoes and wear it twice second time I saw that the sole outside it start get lose from the shoes outside that’s the first time it happened with me for Merrill brand plus I have more than one

Great hiking shoes. Very sturdy. I wouldn't recommend them for just walking on pavement (or street walking) though. They're a bit stiff for that.

First off, I have bought 2 other pair of moab 3 which I love. Unfortunately, the crosslander 2 weren't comfortable on my feet since I'm walk or ride my bicycle all the time cuz I don't drive. With all that way too much side. I love merrell moab 3 and zappos. Amazon can keep sending billionaires to space.

Fit, size, style all great

You have to love Merrill’s perfect fit and so comfortable…

These will be my winter shoe, if no foul weather. they fit well, just like my other Merrell's. comfortable and easy on/off with the added lock laces!

I have neuropathy and mild plantar fasciitis, so finding a comfortable shoe can be a challenge. My feet are never 100% comfortable in ANY shoe. I will say however that these shoes are as close as I can get to a comfortable hiking shoe. They are holding up great as well. I can definitely recommend them.

Nice shoes. I replaced the laces with elastic laces -- for me that makes these shoes perfect.

These are by Far my Most Favorite Merrell style. The fit is Excellent with Literally Zero break-in time needed. This will be my 5th pair & for me to buy that many means I Really Dig ‘Em!

I bought these for my husband, he put them on and loves them . He wore them all day the first time. His feet didn’t hurt. Now this his only pair of shoes he wears.

I have had many pairs of these shoes in the past and enjoyed wearing them every day.

I was glad to find that these fit my wide feet. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. I wear women’s 11 extra wide, and I have very high arches. These men’s 9.5 fit with plenty of toe room. I’m using a different insole though.

This is my 3rd pair of Merrill low hiking shoes. I love them. My orthodics fit comfortably inside. Excellent support and traction for hiking & rock scrambling is excellent. Not sure how these Crosslander 2 's will fair, but if thy are anything like my other 2 pairs they will last a good amount of time. Materials and construction have always been excellent on Merrills
