I was very disappointed in this boot. I really really really wanted to like it. I need a wide calf. I struggle so hard to find a boot that fits and I put all of my hopes in this one. The shaft fit weird. For a wide shaft, it was too tight around my calf but had a huge gap at the top. I could put my whole hand in the gap but could barely zip the shaft past my calf. I am not a thin person. I am not obese either. My legs are thick. Must be freakishly so. I know thin women struggle with boots being too wide and I sympathize but ladies, it’s much harder on the other side. Just another example of the fashion industry discriminating against larger people. I guess we are supposed to stay inside all the time and not impose our lesser selves to the world. I expected a lot out of a $509 boot. Never spent that much for shoes in my life but I was more than willing for these. Back they go.

This boot is marked as a wide calf. I did not find it to be a generous fit. I was not able to zip it up all the way. I was do disappointed and will be returning them. The quality looked great.

For style these get very high marks in my book. The calf in wide is plenty wide, but read the measurements to make sure it works for you. I am 5 10 so the height of the boot is important and these are high enough as well. They are pricier than others but I feel the style made up for it. Suede looks so much richer to me than a plain shiny leather.

I have two pairs of Tory Burch boots, well worn in! I was looking for a new pair, and ordered these. Unfortunately, I am 5'1" and the are too tall for me, the go 1/2 way over my knees and I can't bend my legs, so they are going back. I wanted to write a review because my other Tory Burch boots don't have this problem at all.
