I originally ordered a size 11, which is the same size as my other dress shoes. However, that size was way too tight. I ordered an 11 1/2 and found there was more room front to back and side to side. It's actually a little too big, because my feet slide around at little on the insole in the shoe. The insole is very slick. But the shoe overall is much more comfortable that the dress shoes it replaced. I have some issues with my feet and I can't wear a leather sole any more. These shoes look fine for what they are. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a dressier shoe and needs to walk on pavement.

My 3rd pair of Samuel Hubbard shoes, all the same last but differing styles. Perfect fit and high quality construction, and a huge value when compared to comparable shoes from other manufacturers offering similar quality at 50-100% higher cost. Love 'em!

These shoes are the typical Hubbard shoe. Extremely comfortable. Very soft leather. Good bit of room in the toe box area. Nice shade of brown that should pair well with navy, tan, brown and even some shades of grey. Hate the price is a high, but extremely well made shoe and extremely comfortable.

UGH...I did a lot of research on shoes, because I have had a lot of feet issues in the past. I thought that these were going to be the shoes for me, but was very disappointed with them. I wore them today for a work meeting (probably less than a mile of walking) and noticed that they were rubbing on my heel. They seemed to fit for the most part, but definitely were rubbing on my heel. I took them off after my work function and went out for the evening. Low and behold, i had a blister on the area where I was feeling them rub earlier that day. Not sure why, but for the money I spent on these (which, by the way, I usually never do), I was very disappointed.

Shoe feels a little deeper than most 4E which is a good thing and sole provided lots of support. Only real concern is if the shoe's tread will hold up. I saw the shoes originally in Airline magazines but felt more comfortable with Zappos return policy. Lucky enough to get one of the few pairs in 4E available.

The rise on the sides are high/stiff and cut in below the ankle a bit. The heel slips and then causes a bit of rubbing/pain requiring some moleskin insert. The sole is a comfortable sole, but the show around it still needs work related to how this shoe is portrayed especially for the price.

This isn't a review. Can Zappos admin get rid of that gross blister photo?

These are the best shoes I have ever owned in 50 years on this planet. They're pricey but worth it.

I am very pleased with this purchase. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have a wide foot and am difficult to fit but these shoes fit great.The shoe leather uppers are top notch. The shoes also have an inner leather lining which is comfortable and luxurious. I use Saphir Havanna creme and buff them for a casual rather than firmal shiny finish. I've had these shoes for over a month and have not had any problems. I highly recommend these shoes.

The Samuel Hubbard brand is one of the highest quality footwear brands made today. Outstanding fit and function with classic and trendy styles. They may cost more than you'd like to pay but so worth every penny in the long run. Also, be aware, a pair of shoes of this quality will take some time to break-in and feel like they really belong on your feet. You'll never what to give them up and you won't have to. I'm sure these shoes will go for 15-20 years if you care for and maintain them properly. Amazing shoes!

I own many pairs of Samuel Hubbard shoes though I haven't needed to order any in a few years. The uppers on these new Founders feel a little stiffer than I like and seem to need a break-in period. That said, the shoe is well-made and attractive. I'm sure they will be another strong part of my line-up once they are entirely broken in.

I usually wear an EEE in the wider Allen Edmonds last. Unfortuantely for Allen Edmonds, it does not make it more casual shoes in the wider widths. So I went looking for a wider option. These shoes look and feel great. I have worn them all day at the office a couple of times. I have a stand-up desk so I am on my feet all day. These are a nice option for a dress/casual shoe with khakis or jeans at the office. I will definitely buy these and other extra-wide Samuel Hubbard shoes in the future. I have not had them long enough to know how they will hold up. The only complaint is the heel cup is a little wide for me, but it is nothing at that a heel insert won't fix. I am still looking for that shoe with an extra-wide toe-box but a medium heel but a couple of

The show was not wide enough. It was a very good looking shoe. I am trying to find it a little wider.

I am on my 3rd day of wearing these and I have not been able to make through an entire day without changing into a different pair of shoes. These definitely are narrower than any other shoe that I have purchased. I hope that they break in.

These shoes began to hurt my feet. They have very little cushion or support. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the problem until after I had worn them several times and it was too late to return them. These shoes were an expensive mistake.
