Fit and sizing seems pretty standard for these boots. They are super rugged and sturdy - their soles do not bend much, offering a lot of support for tough use. Unfortunately after only about 20 wearings, the front sole separated. I researched and chose these boots specifically to do rugged outdoor work like hauling brush, running the tractor, lifting things (to protect my toes), etc. they have never been super comfortable and have taken forever to break in, hence why I have only worn them 20 times since getting them last year. Yesterday while I was kicking small rocks out of the road, something I do with my rain or snow boots all the time, the front sole split from the leather boot. Totally unacceptable! If the boots were old, had been frozen/thawed, or left in the sun, it would have been forgivable. But these have been sitting inside for months and they can’t handle the one tough thing I’ve thrown at them. I’m super disappointed - what a waste of money! Also, when I first got them I felt like the two boots were not symmetrical and they didn’t tread/wear the same - it was as if the heel of one was attached slightly differently. Anyway, I guess i should have taken that as a clue for poor attention to detail and workmanship. I had hoped to support a North American company but I won’t be buying from Kodiak again.

I’m normally a 9, went with 9.5 for thick socks and they work great. Cute boot with different laces if you don’t like the color shown in the photos. I have somewhat wider feet with small bunions and these shoes had zero break in time for walking 5 plus miles a day in rainy Germany. Very comfortable.

Tried Kodiak boots for the first time. Boot was long enough but not wide enough in toe bed or heel area, also not enough arch support for my needs. Returned.

These are beautiful shoes. They seem to be really well made, the leather is super soft, foot is well supported and they came with extra laces. They’re a durable stylish boot. A little breaking in and these would be perfect winter boots.

I bought these at a different site cuz they didnt have my size here.i got these in a 6.5 true to size. I ordered the med brn w grey. True to color. Also comes w drk brn laces. So comfortable and keeps my feet warm.

Quality materials, even the laces and eyelets are sturdy and well made. I took them out of the box and walked 4 miles no problem! If you have wide feet, never fear because these boots fit perfectly even with my flat, wide feet! The "stock" insoles are rather thin and flat which is great for my purposes as I have to use an orthotic, but if you don't you should plan on buying a supportive insole.

I am a tried and true 8.5 so, of course, I ordered these boots in an 8.5. Turns out they were real snug, but so SO so cute on. I decided to exchange them for a 9 since I want to be able to wear slightly thicker socks. I can't wait to get my size 9's. They are so cute!

I wore these hiking straight out of the box, and they were super comfortable. Over a year later, and many hikes later, they are just as comfortable. They are very sturdy (no ankle sprain) and durable.

Seriously study boots, heavy, really well made with beautiful leather and nice attention to detail. Great support, good toe room. I really wanted to keep these. But there was something quite hard pressing against my right big toe joint -- maybe a hard seam edge or the place they attache the metal hardware. It's possible this would have loosened up a bit with wear and been okay, but I didn't want to take the chance. Sorry to return them.

I have two different sized feet (9 and 9.5) and always go up a size in boots to a 10, as I did with this purchase. However, one boot fit perfect and the other was just that half size too small. I will be trying out the next size up. Love the look and feel of the side that DID fit! :)

Thought these were cute but had a very hard, uncomfortable sole and didn’t feel warm at all despite having thinsulate. Didn’t work for me.

I wanted to love these boots, but they just were not very comfortable.

I really wanted to love these. They're a strong boot in terms of ankle support and protecting your foot, but are also really stiff if you don't actually need that much support. (That is, I wasn't hiking in them.) Also, I felt like they made my feet look huge. Granted, they're boots, but still. I just didn't love them enough to keep them. Also, I would have liked more arch support. I tried them with my orthotics, which helped, but without them I didn't feel much arch support in the boot itself.

I ordered these last winter and was so excited. They are beautiful. The price then was $250. I wear them mostly around town and certainly not for hiking as they are intended. Before spring the toes of each soles were coming apart. They did not even last a season! When they were sprayed with the waterproof spray that I use on all my Sorels, the color changed drastically as well. They don't come with the water proof sealant so there is no choice but to add sealant. I was very excited to find an alternative to the common Sorel, Uggs, North Face and Frye that I typically purchase.

Beautiful boot but waaaaay too small. I've never had a problem fitting an 8.5 and this was so uncomfortably tight. The sole also felt extremely hard and I can't imagine walking around in these all day.

These boots run a tiny bit large I think, but I use them in Denver winters so I'm usually wearing thicker socks. They are insulated and waterproof: warm and dry feet! I've had a great experience with them and in fact own in two different colors. I would say the construction is not always consistent. The first pair I ever had split at the sole, but Zappos replaced them no problem. Of the second and third pairs, the fit was very off on one so I did exchange those. Once I got it dialed in though these are perfect. They go well with leggings or under jeans/hiking pants, and they work well with snowshoes. A bit fashiony - could use more arch support if you wanted this as a true hiking boot.

Love love love these boots. I have super high arches so boots are tricky for me. I've hiked miles in these and they've kept my feet warm and comfy for every step. They've stayed dry when I've forded creeks but I've also gone in deep water and hiked in them wet - still super comfortable! Plus, I love the way they look.

Really nice water-resistant boots. Wore them all day in the rain and had totally dry socks when I got home. They do take some breaking into, they're pretty stiff at first but that's just the way it goes sometimes. Super cute too! :)

Perfect fit ?

I love the look of these but they did not fit right for me. I found the medium width to be too narrow in the toe box and a little too wide in the heel and ankle area. They have a great tread on them though.

I was looking for a casual, warm, waterproof boot for errands and really wanted to keep these. The look of the boot and warmth was great. The leather feels strong and durable. But the toe box is just to narrow and they don't seem like they would stretch or break in. I wear an 11 and they don't come in 11.5 so back they go.

Such good looking boots and warm inside! I hate to return them but I have a bunion on my right foot that requires a slightly wider toe box. These boots run on the narrower side of "Medium". I ordered a Size 7 which was slightly too long but also too narrow. Perfect for someone whose feet aren't as wide as mine.

Beautiful beautiful boots! Just decided they are a little too much boot for the casual hiking I do. Quality looks superior.

Ordered up a half size and there are perfect, I have narrow feet so the width is great. Super warm (we have a few inches of snow on the ground). I’m on day 4, and still breaking them in running errands and wearing them around the house. They are stiff to begin with, but seem like a really well built boot!! Love the style and quality! I may put my own insole in so they are more custom for longer walking excursions.

Toe area is very narrow and foot is a little pinched :/ Had to return. Super cute though...
