While these real leather boots are gorgeous, they do NOT have a full side zip like most Born boots. They only zip from ankle to mid-calf, meaning that unless your calves are at least an inch smaller in circumference than the boot shaft, they are NOT going up, not even over skinny jeans. No pull tabs, either. AND! The lining of the boot is a weird, not-quite-velvety fabric (feels like the "velvet" of auto upholstery), which makes getting them on even more difficult. They look amazing and it's wonderful to have a truly flat leather boot, but most of these problems would have been remedied by having a full side zip. Sadly, these are going straight back. I am very disappointed because my favorite-ever pair of Born boots, which were also fully flat, they no longer make. I was hoping these would be a decent replacement. I was wrong. :(

The old born boot is my favorite boot of all time. Comfortable, beautiful etc. I have waited years for them to make the same style boot. They improved the sole and I was excited. Sadly they cut the new boot to no longer accommodate a human foot. They cut it narrow in the toes and I have to send it back. Disappointed for sure. I am going to try larger size but they may be folly!

The boot is on the slimmer side. I'm used to wearing minimalist footware so this boot even though has flat sole is too narrow for me in the toe area. But the biggest disappointment is that it's very hard to get it on! The zipper needs to be full length. I had to change into a nylon pair of socks for the slippery effect to actually try it on. Regular socks won't do. The lining adds more traction. I so want to keep this boot but really can't wear it.

Loved these boots!! They felt wonderful on my feet. Unfortunately, the calf was way too big for my legs. Seems like all boots these days are made to accommodate the fattening of America. :(

These are super cute and I'm keeping them because of the style but not without having seriously first considering sending them back because of they are SUCH a pain to get on. I used to have a very similar style born boot that I resoled until they fell to pieces and they had a full side zip. Was so excited to see these but a real shocker at how hard they are to get on. No pull tabs so you have to grab a bunch of the upper and yank it onto your foot. Serious design flaw. I guess I will take them to my shoe guy to see if he can add pull tabs or something. What a pain - and I'm sure I will curse the designer every time I struggle to pull these on!

Great boots. Look great with leggings and jeans or skirts. I’m size 8 M and these are perfect. Foot bed is comfortable. Quality leather. No issue with zipper style. Read several reviews that they are hard to get on/off. I have no problems. The zipper is plenty long. The shaft width is fine - I have slender legs - 13” calf. I think them fair weather boots. Sole construction not hefty for rugged outdoor wear.

I know that some customers have had difficulty with the short zipper, but that was not my experience. They went on fairly easily and fit over my pants. Maybe it's a combination of large feet and normal sized calves!

I wanted to love these boots. They are what I was looking for. And, they calf is so huge, they look like galoshes. Boo! So they are going back. Thank you for taking them back.

Beautiful boots. The circumstance of the boot was so large, felt and looked like construction boots. Must return sadly enough. I really wanted these boots to look right. No way!!!!!

2nd pair of Born boots I’ve purchased. Completely satisfied. I wear 9M, perfect fit! Very comfortable for a flat styled boot with good support. Versatel for every outfit including leggings. Luv them!!

These are lovely, although they are not, ultimately, a substitute for the old Born boots I really loved but that it seems like they don't make anymore. My only concern is that the zipper seems sticky and possibly fragile, and the zipper facing on the inside of the boot sticks into my arch in a weird way.

The size of these boots felt true to size in the foot part but were way to wide in the calf. I have a narrow foot/thinner legs so I had no problem getting the boots on but the upper part looked huge on my legs. Unfortunately had to return:(

I returned these due to the fact that I found them to be a half size small. This style is relatively narrow compared to other Born shoes. I didn’t find an issue with getting them on as several other reviews noted.

I absolutely love them! Not difficult to put on and take off as other reviewers said. They are exactly what I have been looking for.

I really love these boots so much I bought a second pair so that I now have black and brown. I really need a truly flat boot with no heel so these were great to find. The leather is beautifully soft so that they adapt to your shape and they have a soft lining that feels good enough to wear with no socks. The half zipper is not great and does make them more difficult to get on, though I found it got easier with wear. For me, it's just a minor inconvenience. I had older flat boots from Born that had zero arch support. These have a little arch support, but enough that they feel quite different from the old ones. Under foot cushioning is good, so overall they are very comfortable to wear all day when doing lots of walking.

I love these boots and Born shoes, sandals and boots are the only things I wear on my feet.

I really really wanted to like these boots, however, it was a struggle getting them on. Yes, there is a zipper that isn’t long enough to help putting them on OR taking them off. I gave these boots to my grand daughter, hopefully she likes them enough to keep them. Having said all of that, I thought the leather was good quality, the style was what I was looking for and the sole would help walking in light icy conditions.

These are the ones. I was only going to keep one pair, but these made me have to keep two. soft supple leather, so comfy. great with a skinny jean. I couldn't ask for anything more (unless they were waterproof)

I love the fit. They're not the most stylish, but I needed form to follow function for this pair of boots.

I wanted to love these. Great look. Great ground feel. But they were so narrow! I wish shoe makers would make shoes that fit actual human feet.

The shoes are REALLY narrow!! I usually wear size 7.5 or 8... and even tried sizing up to 8.5 and 9, but those were still way too snug across the arch and the toebox. And the excess length in those sizes was looking clown-ish. I have a tall arch and like slightly more room at the toebox than some folks, but even for average feet, I think these run narrow by more than 1 size. If you have narrow feet and the width is good, it felt like maybe order 1/2 size up for length? (again, hard to judge based on my width issue) But the boots are gorgeous! The quality feels good from the house-wearing I did, and the space in the shaft is good for wearing over jeans. I genearlly prefer a full-shaft-zipper, but the ankle zipper did the trick for getting in and out of the boots.

I'm normally a size 9 and these were super tight on my feet. I'm returning for a size 9.5, but they're super cute, and I love the way they look on my feet.

Being almost 6 feet tall, I love low-heeled boots. I had a similar pair of Born boots from several years ago that I loved. They are well-worn, so when I saw the Indre boots I felt it was time to replace the old ones. I was hesitant at first because of the poor reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised! Despite what other reviewers have written, I found them easy to pull on, and not wide at all around my calves. Very glad I ordered these!

The first time I put them on it was very awkward. I am not used to a zipper not going to the top. But I figured out how to do that (and not let my foot slide out the unzipped part) and when I took them off, no problem. I do agree that pull straps at the top would be helpful. I love the flatter sole, looks much neatet that the heavy "work" soles most boots have.

These are cuteand comfortable. I needed a 1/2 size larger. The top part is good for wide calf, but they are hard to out on since they don't have a full side zipper and nothing to use to pull on. They would be the perfect boot if they had a full zipper.
