I'm a graduate student who commutes everywhere via bike. This pack is very lightweight and comfortable regardless of how full the bag is. It is perfect for commuting. Standard carry: 1 13" Macbook, 2 notebooks, 32oz nalgene, 11oz reusable tumbler, 2-3 200-300 page books, 2 notebooks, 1 pair of jeans, 1 blouse, lunch + a few snacks, and other misc (sunglasses, bike-lock, keys, deodorant etc). Everything fits well, but may be a bit small for an additional pair of shoes or large, thick textbooks. My only con, that is important for people are ride their bike in heavily trafficked commutes: the way flap folds over gets in my sight line and makes it difficult to look over my shoulder for traffic. I have to bend my neck around the flap fold - this can be remedied a bit by pulling the flap down further via the closure strap. Other than that, I am in love with this bag. I'm so pleased with this purchase. It looks super sleek and small, even when full of groceries!! The pockets keep me organized in a way I have never been able to before. I can't wait to use this bag all the time, for weekend trips to visit family, for air travel, for conferences, grocery trips, even. 12/10 would recommend and will be raving about this bag to anyone who will listen.

I love almost everything about this pack. It's amazingly comfortable and easy to use. You have to get used to it though but once you understand the way it works it grows on you quickly. The flap is a great idea, some might not dig it tho but for me it makes the pack so simple to use, you just open the buckle and bam! there you go and same for closing. I sometimes even leave it open since the flap will protect your stuff, just be sure you're somewhere with people you can trust tho. The inner organization is simple and efficient. The inner water sleeve is a perfect addition and the laptop compartment seems really sturdy and reliable. The outer pockets give you that extra organization for the bits and pieces you can't place inside and need quick access to. The top openings on the flap on each side might be an issue for some but you just have to make sure you take good care of your pack and it shouldn't be an issue unless you run into a side rain because then things might get wet through those openings. So far I love this thing and I believe that with good care it will last a looong time. The construction is just really good and I love to wear it, it just feels good on you. Thanks Osprey.

I wanted to love this backpack so much. I was very excited to get it and when it arrived I was very pleased with everything BUT the laptop compartment. The description states it can fit a 15in laptop but only if that laptop is thin and sleek. Unlike some of Osprey's other everyday packs like the Nebula or the older Quantum this laptop compartment was made entirely of a non-stretch material...most likely as a cost-saving move. The Nebula/Quantum have stretchy sides to their laptop compartments that allow laptops with a bit more girth to easily fit into the sleeve. I so wish I could keep this bag (or have a smaller work laptop) but I will be returning it due to it not meeting my needs as a commuter pack
