Minnetonka's standard sizing is not a good fit for people with wide feet. In the loafers which have a rubber sole, the mismatch is most evident because the sole will not allow the rest of the shoe to deform. I was hoping that a soft soled moccasin would solve the problem. And they almost do. The leather is soft, and the springy insole feels good. However, after walking in them a bit, I could feel that the insole was not covering the width of my foot, and if past experience can be trusted, the leather just outboard of the double-layered sole is going to wear against the floor and the shoe will wear out earlier than it should. I am debating whether to go with another shoe, or pay twice as much as these for Minnetonka's custom-made driving moccasins, which are the only shoes they offer in wide sizes.

These were purchased as a gift and was just perfect...more rhan perfect!

SUPER Comfortable for around the house

My left foot is swollen, so the left shoe feels a little tight. But I feel sure that once my swelling, which I am taking a prescription for, goes back to normal the soft moccasins will fit just right. The double deerskin sole is very comfortable and I intend to only wear them inside the house, as I do not believe a shoe without a hard sole is intended to be worn outside - I don't believe it would hold up to the wear and tear.

I normally wear a size 8, but ended up buying a 7 which still has plenty of room. Super comfortable, and appear to be high quality.

Outstanding moccasin. I like soft soles for around the house. The look and quality are outstanding. My only reservation is that the slick leather lining feels clammy on my bare feet. I normally wear a men's 12 for all shoes I buy, but I had to exchange the size 12 for size 11, which fits perfectly.

This moc is for in-house use, it's a slipper and should be used as such. It's not meant for cold winter months, but it will serve well the rest of the year. It's wonderfully comfortable, but I noticed that the left slipper started making some noise while walking. Not a big deal, I would buy them again. I'd love to find a pair that felt as nice as these with a more robust sole.
