I really wanted to make these boots work but they are just too hard to get on even with the zipper. I felt they were very narrow. Sadly, I need to return.

The boot is cute, I wish it would have worked. I should have listened to the reviews about the fit. It was the most uncomfortable pair of boots I have ever tried on. The width is so narrow and they were very difficult to get on (that's even with opening them wide up from the laces and the side zipper all the way down). Once on, they hurt my feet! Even had my daughter try them and she said the same thing. We are both on the petite side, so it was definitely the boot. The length is fine, so if you went up a size for the width, you would be swimming in length. It's really too bad, because the style is perfect. I'm not sure what Clarks was thinking when they made this boot.

These are super cute, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. However I wish I had ordered a half size up. They are very narrow and snug. I had to loosen the strings quite a bit. I’m really hoping they will loosen up as they age.

Love the style. In fact, I have a pair from several years ago but these were very stiff and nearly impossible to get on even with the zipper.

As other reviewers mentioned, these boots do fit small and narrow. (My feet measure as size 8–slightly narrow with high arches.) I had originally ordered an 8; I ordered another style of Clarks boots in the same size and they fit perfectly. The first day I wore these all day at my retail job, the toe box was painful and narrow. I kept wearing them, figuring they would break in. The width got much better, but my big toe and pinky still bumped up against the front of the shoe. Zappos customer service was great and allowed me to exchange them for an 8.5, but I’d save yourself the trouble and go ahead and order a half size up the first time. The 8.5s are lovely. I can tell they’re the type that will break in and get more comfortable with time. However, if you want something super comfy out of the box, these will probably disappoint. I have no trouble being on my feet for 8 hour shifts in these, but they’re not as good as my summer shoes (Chaco sandals). They are much cuter, though!

I did read all the reviews on this boot, not great overall, but I ordered them anyway because I liked the look of them and Zappos has an awesome return policy! I’m not 100% happy with them, more like 75%-80%, however I’ve been hunting something like these for what seems like years and these were in the ballpark of what I wanted. I was looking for sturdy boots for jeans that can handle my rough wear and tear, rainy days etc. that look decent. Based on reviews I ordered a 9, my normal in shoes is between an 8 and 8.5, I find a half size up can sometimes solve the “narrow” problem and in this case it largely did. The boots are slightly difficult to get on even with the zipper but it’s doable, should be easier though. There is ZERO arch support however after inserting a pair I had on hand I found these to be pretty comfortable, and they look nice on! Online these look to be brown with a reddish cast, these are in reality brown with not a hint of red (I liked the reddish cast but oh well). The leather is firm, but definitely quality, and while I know there will be a break in period I do feel these will break in nicely. I’ve had many Clark’s shoes and boots over the years and I find they hold up well, I don’t expect less from these boots! If you’re on the fence because of the reviews but you like the look of them I’d say give them a chance, with Zappos you have options!

This boot fits true to size, wearing normal weight socks. If you want to wear thicker wool socks, order 1/2 size up. They are very well made and look like they will last for years. The shank is stiff right out of the box, so there may be some breaking-in time required (although I wore them for about 4 hours of shopping and errands the first day and my feet felt great.) I suggest getting a boot-jack to take them off; easier on your back AND the boots.

Wanted a nice boots for my girlfriend. The brown fits nicely with a lot of outfits. The boots according to her is super cute and is a great purchase. Comfort is good and the heel isn’t to high. Would recommend.

These boots are true-to-size and very high quality - I expect them to last years. I needed to unlace the boots to put them on the first time, then zip up the side and tighten the laces to my fit - you can't just slip them on right out of the box. Once they are worn more and soften up a bit, they will be easier to put on. I suggest using a boot-jack to remove these boots (why doesn't every shoe store sell these?) as it makes removal so easy.

Great boots that feel amazing, beautiful leather, but too narrow. Normally clarks wide width is perfect for me but these are more narrow that other wide clarks that I have.

I ordered these after reading all the reviews complaining how narrow they are. My feet are 9.5 super narrow, and sure enough, these boots fit perfectly! I ended up returning them because they are the type of boots that need to be broken in. They are very much like my boyfriend's Timberland PRO work boots in the way that the leather is very thick, and the sole isn't really cushioned. The are also a bit "tough" looking for my wardrobe. I could tell these boots would last a long time, and are waterproof.

I ordered this shoe because I read all the reviews complaining about how narrow they are. I have long (9.5) freakishly narrow feet that are hard to outfit, so I had to try these. And they fit great! So they must truly run narrow to fit me well. However, the style was a little too rugged looking for my taste. They remind me of my boyfriend's timberland pro steel toe work boots--- the thick black leather requires being broken in, and the heel is intense. I think these are very well made boots that could last many years (and zappos doesn't mention that they're also waterproof, which the clark's website did), just a little too "tough" looking for my wardrobe.

These boots fit my daughter well. They do run narrow which is good for her because she has narrow feet. They seem like they will be comfortable but will take some breaking in as they are a little stiff.

Ordered a half size up. Initially these felt too snug and was about to return them. However I made sure I had a thin sock (light merino wool) and they felt better to being comfortable enough, also with loosening the laces. They are leather so they will stretch. Love the look and they are keepers but you may want to order a half size up. Any foot more than a normal width will probably not like being in these boots.

Cute shoe, but does not fit TTS. Narrower and smaller than other Clarks shoes of same size and width (M).

As per reviews I ordered a half size up, the length was ok but still too narrow, I had to return it. The boot is hard, the leather feels cheap, but the style is great - it's difficult finding a simple lace up boot, not too combat, no fancy studs buckles etc. Too bad the manufacturing is poor.

Unless you have really long extremely narrow feet with narrow toes do not buy this boot, it will not work. The reviews are spot on this boot wasn't made for average shaped and width feet. I put one on and immediately knew what the reviewers were talking about. If you are on the fence I urge you to sway to the side of caution and go with something else unless you can tie up some money to have these shipped to you so you can try them on to realize that the reviews were right and ship them back.
