Love the look of these boots. Because they are taller thank ankle height, knew I was taking a chance on fit in the calf, even lower calf. The foot part fit great, a true size 10. Good arch support and comfort. However, I have large upper ankles and calves, and could not get these boots zipped up. If you have large calves, these aren't the right boots.

I love these boots so much that I would give them 10 stars!! FIRST: please note that I am wearing them with my custom orthotics in them. That being said, they were very comfortable even without my orthotics. I wear them like sneakers! I have never had a pair of boots that are so stinking comfy!! I can't say enough good things about them. One thing to note: I do have to pull them a little hard to get my heel in. It has nothing to do with fit because once my heel (and foot are in) they are tremendously comfy. Something about the way the ankle part of the boot is made. I think the leather will stretch a tad bit and it will slide on easily. It just requires an extra tug -- but TOTALLY worth the tug for the comfort of these!

These fit just perfect! I substituted my orthotics for a more customized fit! They are perfect with jeans, skirts and tights, and can fit my wool socks for added warmth and comfort.

Love these boots! The fit is great and they were comfortable right out of the box. I do a lot of walking and they have held up nicely - no blisters, no foot pain. They feel true to size - they were a little snug around my toes at first, but have already stretched out and now fit perfectly. The fit around the calf is great as well - I'm able to tuck in a pair of jeans and wear medium-weight socks and still zip up comfortably. I have already put them through their paces since it's been rainy and muddy this past week and my feet stayed nice and dry. They are a little difficult to get on and off the first few times, but have already loosened up considerably so I expect it will get easier as they continue to be broken in.

This fit great except around the calf -- I have very narrow calves and it felt wide. The style also didn't look as good in real life as in the photos. I felt it looked more like a rain boot somehow.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned and currently the most comfy winter shoes at all. I wear these around 5 times a week and I am a teacher and on my feet all day. HOWEVER, I do have my custom orthotic inserts in them. Even without my inserts, they are super comfy. Just wanted to be totally honest! I Absolutely love how cute the are - -a little motorcycle 'ish (in black) cool. They are also waterproof and super durable and well constructed. I think these were an awesome investment and I wish I could wear them all summer. In fact, I may!!!

I am size 7, but if they are boots I really have to get them in 7.5, which I did. The fit seems ideal and later on I will see about the comfort. I have to say that the color seems more darker than in the pictures shown here. I have little calf so, they are a little big for me if I consider that, but for my purpose I would say they work out well for me. Not very stylish, but acceptable. The heel might look a little high, yet I felt as if I was barefooted, so that is good for me as well.

Great comfort, perfect for those who like to have toe room & minimal heel. I had really been looking forward to getting these for months & finally got them on sale. My only complaint would be they look a bit plain: very dark matte black. I will be wearing them plenty though, as the Merrell brand really works well for my feet. I love that they’re waterproof yet lightweight. Versatile & good enough style.

Greata boots EXCEPT the zipper does not go down far enough to allow ease in putting boots on. Its a struggle to slip my foot in.

This is a beautiful boot aesthetically. However, it is too tight in the heel area and is uncomfortable. I have a narrow small foot size 5-1/2 so there is no reason for this to be occurring other than error on the manufacturer's end. I wanted to love this boot but am returning.

The fit was great and comfortable as you'd expect from Merrell. I was able to wear them immediately without a break-in period. The rounder toe-box is a bit more casual of a style, but that's what I was looking for. The height of the boot shaft hits mid-calf and may be a bit roomy as other reviewers say but I don't think it's a big deal - it's the way boots are and makes them easier to walk in.

The fit and sizing were fine, but I returned these due to the styling. Other reviews say they look like a rain boot, which is guess might be why I didn't like them. They just aren't that cute on, kind of featureless looking. I felt like an action figure with generic brown boots, lol.

Very durable. Not the warm when the weather gets below 10 degrees. Comfortable.

They fit great. I knew they would because years ago I bought the taller pair for a trip to Europe. Right out of the box they were comfortable and logged many miles through several countries, rain or shine. I had only to slip my feet in the new pair to feel immediate comfort.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own and I would wear them every day of the year, if I could! I replaced their removable insole with my custom orthotic. These boots are very well made of high quality leather and waterproof. I love the way they look, as well. There is one thing I would point out- I do have to wiggle my heel a little to get it in the boot, but after that, they are crazy comfy... and I have foot problems! I have two pair and am a teacher and have worn them every day last year and this year (in cool weather). I adore these boots!

My wife loved her Merrell boots from Zappos. She love the brown rustic color and they were exactly what she was looking for. We order a half a size bigger since my wife purchased new boot socks that were pretty thick and the boots fit perfectly. We loved getting $35 off and we will continue to order from Zappos if we continue to get the online discounts!

Really love these. Wish they were a little cuter - the toe box has a funny shape, but SO COMFORTABLE. These have been my everyday shoes since I purchased them. Wear them all day, almost every day and they feel great. I have feet that rarely feel great in any shoes, so I am happy to have found these!

Very comfortable! They are also waterproof and warm, which is a plus. Will be taking these with me to England next month- perfect for rainy weather.

These are beautiful boots but they were so small for a size 10 which I is my true size, I could barely get them on and off. Hard to tell if they had arch support because once I had them on and they were too tight on the upper part of my foot I couldn’t tell anything else. It’s a shame because the material is wonderful and the heel just right height. They also fit snug to the calf.

I ordered an 8 1/2 based on other reviews but it was just a little too close in the toes. Zappos great customer service had the replacement size 9s on my doorstep two days later! They are perfect. Very easy to wear all day. Other reviewers mention the difficulty of pulling them on. I have that issue too but gladly once they are on it is all good.

I thought I had large calves, but these boots are very roomy at the top. I couldn't find any of my outfits that made them look good. They are comfortable though and I imagine they would wear well. Ladies if you have trouble finding boots to fit because you have muscular calves, these are the boots for you!

These are a really nice looking boot. I usually wear between an 8.5 and 9 and the 8.5 was right on. The 9 would have been way to big. The styling is cute as I am older, so they are not old lady boots. The downside which has been been mentioned is the heel. The heel is fine once the boot is on. However, it is not possible for me to wear wool--even thin wool socks with this boot right now. I must use a trouser sock that will help my foot slide right in. Things might loosen up once the boot is worn in. My calves were fine in this boot and I am able to zip over a pair of skinny jeans. I decided to keep them. They are comfortable to wear.

They are very cute and waterproof--2 good things. I fell on some wet tile the second time I wore them and never wore them again. Waterproof yes--good traction on a wet floor NO.

This pair is comfortable in the foot however I have shapely calves and the shaft of the boot was much too tight/small.
