My foot is a size 6-1/2, slightly wide, and I typically order a 7 for added width. I went with a 7 WIDE and quite honestly I have to say that the shoe feels like a regular. So sizing up in width got me to a regular width. The shoe itself is nice, not the long, narrow canal boats that other brands have been putting out for years now. The suede is good quality. The only downside is the tongue is not constructed the way that part of the shoe used to be -- more of a separate component. Now, with most shoes (made OVERSEAS), the tongue is not a flap but is part of the shoe itself. Cost savings, I guess. I am keeping these "desert boots" but once shoes in the USA are better made, no matter where they are made, these puppies will probably be worn out by then and I will hunt for a better replacement. I've already swapped out the (very cheap) laces for ones bought online and made in the USA.

The boot was narrow across toes/arch and yet felt wide in the heel. Heel is also very stiff, don't think it would "break in" due to some type of stiffening material.

I bought two of this style last year and loved them. This shoe was horrible. Totally different sole and insole. The shoe was not as wide and uncomfortable. I’m very disappointed. It went back.

Beautiful boot, but no way is this a wide width. Very narrow and unlike any other Hush Puppies wide width I've purchased in the past.

Cute bootie. Leopard print looks better in person than in photo. But - too hard to get into with my high instep. Made in India.

This is a really cute style, but unfortunately they must be returned. Very uncomfortable because they are so stiff and slightly bigger than expected. The boot moves up and down my ankle and pulls as I walk. Too bad because they are cute. Thanks Zappos for the free look.

Ordered both an 8.5 (my normal size) and a 9. Kept the 9.

Love these boots. They are comfortable from the get go. I didn't have a bit of trouble wearing them on first outing and I have a hard time finding shoes that don't hurt my feet anymore. I have some pretty significant numbness of toes in my left foot and I no longer can wear any heel. Shoes must be pretty flat to not cause pain. and toes cannot not be very pointed. It is hard as heck to find a boot that is stylish and fits those criteria, but Hush Puppies has done it with their Chukka. I am seriously considering buying another pair. Love them.

I usually wear an 8, regular width shoe, but ordered a wide based on reviews and they are correct; the boot does fit the width of my foot as a regular width would, however they do feel at least a half size smaller than marked. I will exchange these for an 8.5, wide, and hope that they will work. On a side note, I am able to insert an orthodic into them comfortably. Well made boot overall.

Forgot to include my review on color. The photo looked tan but the description said Olive. They are definitely more green than than tan like photo shoes. It's a very nice color however. The photo shows my tan franco's next to the olive hush puppy.

These shoes look lovely. But all the reviews had said this show was narrow or smaller than they expected. I should have listened. I went with a wider fit but kept the same 6.5 size i wear. It was tight and small and hurt my foot -- I could barely move my feet. I should have listened to the reviews so in the end I had to return them. I measured these shoes to other 6.5s I have and the shoes are physically smaller by about 2cm! Not sure why they didn't just call it size 6! You def need to size up by a half size and get the widest possible.

Very attractive black"desert boots" I wore them all day today and I felt great on my feet!

These shoes are so great that I bought them in 2 colors. Contemporary and can be dressed up or down.
