So sad! I have been eyeing these for 2 months!! They came today and even with the little side zipper open they are ridiculously hard to get on. The ankle opening is small so they will be snug around the ankle but when you angle your foot to get it in it is almost impossible! I want to love them so much! Super cute and comfy but I can't spend 10 minutes breaking a sweat trying to put on shoes every day!

I fell in love with the look of this bootie and wanted it so badly. I was hesitant at first to order because I DO have a high instep/ arch and many people were having a hard time getting this boot on because of the narrow opening. Luckily i went ahead and ordered and I held my breath as I first tried putting the boot on . Happy to say it went on with minimum effort wearing a medium weight sock. Once it was on , it felt a little loose , which concerned me. I was afraid it would rub blisters. But I wore them all day yesterday shopping, waking on concrete and through town on sidewalks and my feet and legs felt great! I’m very happy with the Luton bootie . I paired them with skinny jeans and a boxy sweater. The suede material feels and looks great. I wear a 7 .5 and the 7-7.5 is the size I ordered. It’s very possible that if a person wears a true 7 they might need to go down a size. I’m not sure. I tried the Tall version of this boot and there was NO WAY I could get my foot into the boot . As for me and my high instep , we love the “shorter” Luton. Hope this helps someone !

Literally impossible to get on. Why have a zipper on the side for such a short length? Why not finish the job, have the zipper go to the top of the bootie, and make it possible to actually put the shoe on? I literally could not get my foot though the narrow ankle opening and the zipper doesn’t go all the way up. Confounding. And disappointing because I wanted the comfort of a Birkenstock in a bootie. Love Zappos, tho! Will return tomorrow with ease!

I love these! Someone said they couldn’t get them on so I was scared to order them, but I had no problems at all! They fit my wide feet just like all of my other size 41 Birkenstocks, and the style is super-cute. I’m really happy with them so far.

Wanted to love these boots.....But no. I couldn't get my foot into the boot. If you have a high arch these boots will not work for you.. The zipper is NO help either. Cute though. I returned them today....sadly....

So sad! This boot is adorable and if you can get your foot in, they feel amazing on your feet. Sadly, just like other reviewers, I had to really struggle to get my feet in these boots. I wanted to keep them so bad, but I know that struggling so hard to get a boot on is just not worth it. I tried ordering a size up which then made it easy to get my feet in but then the boot was too big overall. Very disappointed as I was so excited to have a winter version of the awesome support Birkenstock provides. Hoping they redesign this boot.

This is a beautiful boot. The length and width is true to size and fits me perfectly. But--I have had this boot for almost three months and have looked at it and tried it on multiple times and would put it back in the box wishing that I really liked it--sadly that has proven not to be the case, because it is almost impossible to get on my foot. Even with the side zipper, which is supposed to enable an easier on/off, it's a struggle. I have to use a shoe horn as well as pull on the boot straps and fight to finally get my foot into it. I read another review mentioning the same difficulty and was hoping that I would just accept the inconvenience and keep them. But I finally came to my senses that it's just not worth going through this every time I want to wear these boots.

Wore them shopping on the first day out of the box and no regrets. They fit great!

The fit is just great. Classic, supportive birkenstocks now in boots. What a treat. I had no problem getting them on and can easily wear thicker socks if it is colder. I always were 40's in birkenstocks and these fit just fine.

I love these boots and have been wearing them daily since I bought them. I haven't had problems with getting on and off, as other reviewers have, but I can see how that could be an issue based on the shape of your foot. I take the same size in these as Birkenstock sandals.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! It just takes a couple of tugs on the side loop and the back to get my wide foot into these, although I do need the zipper open to do so, not sure why...and having a loop on the back would have made it even easier. Once in, they are super comfy and roomy, just like my Birkenstock sandals (same size), and they are roomier, wider, and much cuter than my Birkenstock Bennington boots that I have nearly worn out over the past couple of years. Love them! :)

I got my normal size (40) and it fits perfectly. These look great, feel great, and are a gorgeous color of grey with a slight blue to it. By the second time I put them on, it was easy. The zipper helps, so I use it, but I have no idea what all the fuss is about from other reviewers. My feet are fairly wide, and I have no issues getting into these stylish boots. I love them.

I didn't find any problems with the zippers, and it is a cute style, but I found it to be running a full size larger than I would expect.

I couldn’t get these boots on. The zipper is designed such that my foot could not enter. Horrible design. Huge fail.

I love these boots! I got the grey ones and they are super cute. They are not easy to get into, but once they are in, they are really comfy. I wear them with thin socks and I 'm hoping to wear them with wool socks in the next weeks. Give them a try, they're worth it!

I was worried about ordering when I saw reviews because I have very high arches but I had no problem slipping these on. They are gorgeous and as comfortable as the Birks I wear all summer long. I am sadly sending them back but only because I need a 39. Get the, back in stock ASAP please?!?

I love these boots! I was afraid they would be hard to put on but they are easy on and off. They are super comfortable from the first wear. If they go on sale I'll buy a second pair. They are made well, look great with jean's or dresses. I will mention that I accidentally bought a size up but it works out with thick socks. This is my first pair of birkenstock shoes so I think I accidentally needed to size up from my usual sandal size.

I love these boots!! I do not have a wide ankle or calves and had zero problem putting the boots on. Love the footbed and the look.

I can understand how some people would take issue with the weird, seemingly useless zipper scenario, but I had no trouble whatsoever. I find these boots to be stylish and comfortable. The color is lovely, but a smidge lighter than the pictures depict. I plan to treat them with a suede/nubuck waterproofing spray to protect both the boots and my feet in the rain. Overall, these are just as described and I am so happy to have a Birk that doesn't look like a Birk to wear when the weather turns cooler. My feet and back thank you!

I love the style of these boots. They were easy to slip on. They have very good support. If I’d had the choice I might have gotten these in the narrower width for a snugger fit. This width gives me the option to wear these with heavier sox as well as light weight hose.

The footbed was wide enough, but the toe was a bit too round for my taste.

I ordered my usual size but it was wide (usually get a narrow). When I put my foot into the boot I had to "scootch" forward a bit to make my foot fit the footbed. When I did that my toe touched the end of the shoe. Had to return them.

These boots were pretty roomy, but I had on thin socks. A little snug to get my foot IN the boot due to my high arch, but plenty of room once they are on. I would have debated whether to order smaller. I usually wear a 40 in Birkenstock, Dansko, etc. I think my arch is more of a 39 but my toes are too long, so I end up in the 40. I ended up returning these because I felt the style was a little too slouchy for wearing with a dress, plus the wideness of the opening left my socks visible. But with jeans, they were super-cute!

These boots are just ok--I do love Birks, and was happy to find a Birkenstock boot. However, the fit is VERY much more than even 1 size smaller. I had ordered my usual size (40), and was unable to even get my right foot in the boot at all, and the left foot was far too snug, even though I could get the boot on. (Thank you, Zappos, for your good customer service, and ease of return.) I called right away, and there were no size 41's left, but there was one 42 available. I figured this would be best, anyway. Yesterday, when they arrived, I was already wearing a very thin pair of socks, and was able to put them on, with little difficulty. Toe box is too big, but that's not a huge issue. The boot is much bigger looking than I'm used to, so I am feeling it's not very cute. Today, I had extreme difficulty pulling on the left boot! I even had to have my husband help to tug it on! The right one was ok today (equally thin socks today). Just crazy! And, as others have mentioned, the side zipper is the most useless and impractical thing! If you are going to the expense of putting in a zipper, why not make it go all the way to the top?! What is the point??? Just not too crazy about these boots! I've had better fitting ones that are way cuter. I'm pretty sad about this, because I live in my Birkenstocks in nice weather. Width was very wide (and I do have wide, post-bunionectomies), and arch support could be better. :(

I wanted to love these boots so bad! I could get my foot all the way down, but my heel bcuz not enough shank to pull up! Why oh why didn't you do the zipper to the top??
