This is a great hiking boot for someone who wants a light and flexible boot you can wear all day. The first day I wore them, I did so for multiple hours with no issue. In addition, they have a nice look and I receive compliments every time I wear them.

These are the best hiking shoes I have ever worn. I wore them hiking at Zion National Park in Utah. I wore them on 3 moderate hour hikes. I wore them a good 4-5 hours each day. Mostly on dry ground, handled light snow well too. My feet never were sore or uncomfortable as they have been in other hiking shoes. I am so happy I bought these. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable hiking boots. I have used them on shorter, casual hikes and they were great. I find that they run slightly big. I'm usually a 9.5 in sneakers, but in these I am a 9.

The fit of the Merrell Mid hikers is perfect. I normally wear an 11M and they were spot on. There is no arch support. The insert has no arch support, but it is replaceable so it would be very easy to buy the type you like and add it, an added expense for an expensive but otherwise great shoe. I really wanted the ones with burgundy accents, so I'll wait for them to be back in stock.

I like the look of these but I can't imagine hiking in them as tney are just like high top sneakers w no support. I returned them and kept the keens. These would be good for a city person just walking around the streets

These Merrell hiking boots are perfect because they are so comfortable as soon as I put them on. After hiking, the boots were still comfy.

I got my typical size (10) but came to Zappos specifically to order the wide. They fit snug with a pair of thick socks, which is perfect. The style is cute and vintage-ish and they seem really well made.

Really happy with these boots! I switched to Merrell when Teva seemingly ruined Ahnu and my trusty Sugarplums had nothing left to give. These boots are lighter, more flexible, will probably be more comfortable wearing them for days on end. They're stylish and grippy. I have only one wish, that they were a bit taller. I work in muddy mountains and frequently cross streams and puddles and such - every waterproof inch of my old boots was necessary. Hoping nothing will slosh inside. Excited to put them to work.

These boots fit perfectly! I removed the insoles and inserted orthotics. Very comfortable. Keep my feet dry. Attractive. Good support.

The boots are perfect hiking boots for someone who wants a bit of style and comfort. They are lightweight almost like running shoes.

I really love these. I've been wearing Merrell hiking boots for a while, but I was still hesitant to purchase online without trying them on. I have been pleasantly surprised. These feel great, fit as expected and I wore them immediately out on the trail for a few miles with no rubbing, blisters or issues. They also came with a second pair of laces if the pink ones don't fit your style. Great shoes, great price, great shipping from Zappos.

The company recommended a half size larger than I usually order in Merrell but with my thin silk socks and fat hiking socks it was perfect. I was happy to have two sets of shoelaces as one is much less outlandish! Would still recommend wearing for a while before a real hike as the high and ankle covering (saving??) style needs some practice to avoid serious cramping at night and soreness.

Great shoe - purchased and arrived the day before a trip with some easy hiking planned and wore them around the house the evening before to get a feel for them and they were perfect! Don't feel too heavy and fit great. I normally wear a 9 (sometimes wide, sometimes normal) and the 9.5 felt perfect with a thicker sock.

This pair was almost the winner in my hunt for hiking boots. I tried it first in my normal size 10 and had to go up a half size to 10.5 to get the right fit. They seemed a little lighter and bendier than the boots I finally chose, and the only fun color they had in stock when I ordered just wasn't my favorite when I saw it in person. I got the Brindle/Canal mesh and just felt the color combo was a little too pastel for my taste. If I was in the market for two pairs of hiking boots I would buy this pair as my lightweight one if they had a feminine color that was a little more bold.

I dunno what happened to my feet since I last bought Merrells, but my previous pair of boots was 9.5 and both left and right boots fit great. I ordered these in 10 medium width hoping to fit thicker hiking socks, and even with regular socks on the right foot is too small in almost every dimension . I will try going up half a size and see if that fixes my troubles. I like the purple laces and panels!

These are chunkier than they look in the photo and they run a bit on the wide side but suited what I needed them for. I appreciate that they came with both orange and brown laces.

I wanted to like these! They are lightweight and pretty comfortable to put on, but unfortunately they don't seem very supportive at all. My feet measure narrow, but I usually just make do with structured shoes (typically hiking boots, even Keens which run wide) plus an orthotic. Unfortunately, these were too soft and unstructured to work for me. I believe that even with more average width feet, these might not work for serious hiking, or for people who need supportive shoes. They're light and flexible.
