Overall, I really like these shoes. They are a comfortable fit, good tread and broke in easy. I haven't tested them in the water yet, but they appear they'll be fine. The only reason I marked as 4 stars instead of 5 is the shoes had a VERY strong chemical smell right out of the box. I had to air them out for several weeks and the smell is just now starting to dissipate.

I really like these shoes, but unfortunately the fit wasn’t quite right for me so I will be returning them tomorrow. They felt true to size for the length. They felt too narrow across the widest part of my foot, so my toes felt cramped (width, not length). I normally wear a medium width shoe.

Oh how I wanted to keep this shoe! It hit my high priority marks: waterproof, well-made, and rugged enough for hiking. However, the fit was not right. This would be a great shoe for a person with longer narrow feet...there's plenty (too much for me) room in the toebox, thus, it had to be returned.

This was almost a keeper...I ordered a number of waterproof shoes and decided to keep 2 other pairs. I do not hike or trail run, I use waterproof shoes for my work in gardens. It runs true to size. The toe box was quite adequate and the heel didn't slip (much).

I used this shoe for a recent trip to Iceland. They were comfy right out of the box. I have a wide foot and high instep, so was very presently surprised at how comfortable they were. During my trip I used them for some light hiking. The traction was great! They are indeed waterproof! My only issue with them is that the laces slip and untie, and after a few hours walking I could feet some fatigue in my foot. But they are very lightweight. A great shoe, Im very happy with them.

The last time I ordered Columbia waterproof walking shoes, the quality was NOTICEABLY better. Since I bought 2 pairs last time, I hadn't purchased this type of shoe in a while. The quality of the shoe has gone down BIGTIME. Even with gel insoles, my feet feel very close to the street. The shoes feel rather "cardboard-y." The size has also changed. Last time, I purchased a half size UP from what I usually wear. This time, I had to go a half size DOWN. I ended up having to order a total of 4 pairs to get the right size (returned 3 of course). I kept the one that fit best namely because of all the trouble I'd gone to and because my old walking shoes were completely worn out--but I will NOT be buying Columbia brand again.

I bought these to replace an old pair of Columbia hiking sneakers and these are smaller and narrower. The cushioning inside was comfortable. I found the changes in styling to make them seem rather basic and more like sneakers than hiking shoes. I will return.

Long and narrow, which is a bit restrictive on the toes. I had to go down a half size because these were so long, but still very narrow. Look is great and durability too, just not a pair of shoes I could wear for very long intervals of time.

This shoe is complicated. It has a positive and negative side, so please bare with me. I purchased it for my regular job- camp professional; but the first time I put these shoes on, they seriously hurt my feet. I mean barely walking hurting feet. I have never had a shoe that hurt my feet so much. So, I gave them to my mom. She used them for outdoor walking and running (in the snow). She is thrilled with them. She loves how they keep her feet dry and she loves the grip that they give her for outside activities. I gave this a 3 star because of the very different opinions of this shoe.

Needed to add arch support and I do not regularly need to do this for shoes.

Shoe fit a little tight on the sides. There was a lot of soft cushioning in these shoes; to much for my liking. I returned these shoes.

Had to return the shoes. They were too small. Couldn't even try them on. Otherwise good looking and light weight.

I used these shoes on my trip to Colorado. Pretty comfortable out of the box, but if you are going to be doing some hiking over a period of days, I recommend breaking them in before you take them out on the trails. I wore them for 3 days and we hiked about 15 miles with elevation gains of about 1,000 feet per hike in those 3 days. The shoes are ok. They are great for traction and uphill climbing, but lack some cushioning in the toes and were slightly uncomfortable on the downhill portions.

Fit was ok, true to size. Poor arch support and the pressure on my heel when I wore the shoe was enough to make me return it. Not sure if its because the footbed lacks cushion or the sole was too plastic-y and synthetic.

Get the Columbia Crestwood instead. This felt like a chintzy shoe.

Sized well to fit a woman's foot, especially in the outer foot bed in the heel area. Not bulky at all. I have narrow feet and it fit ok with thin socks, but with an added pair of white Wigwams, it felt tight. This could possibly be stretched out. However, there is zero arch support. I do not need much and was very surprised that these had basically zero support, so I returned them. I walk on dirt/grass trails for about 30-45 minutes at a time. The grip was definitely adequate for that. No idea on the waterproofing as I never even wore them out of the house.
