Very comfortable well fitting boots. I'm on my feet much of the day In a retail setting and have been very pleased since buying them 2 months ago. Merrill has always had comfortable footwear And these are too

Boot fit perfectly right off the bat. I've been wearing Merrells for over 10 years now and I have not been disappointed. I've had a pair of hikers for 8 years but have recently lost 120lbs and figured I should get some new ones that fit better. Even though my old ones didn't have any rips or tears in them at all. Very nice boot.

I have been wearing Men's size 10.5 Merrell boots for years and was disappointed that these run at least a half size big. They were being discontinued and when I tried to return for a smaller size they were all sold out. Worse I had bought 2 pairs so now I'll be in boots that are too big for years. They were a good price and good quality. I just wish that a 10.5 boot in Merrell was always the same size. They are comfortable on my feet, I can't say the same about 4 different pairs of Keens I attempted and finally gave up on.

The soles of the boots collect huge quantities of mud and dirt. The 'cute' design on the edges of the soles should be smooth as they also collect dirt. The tongue of the boots are difficult to seat under the sides of the boots and laces.

They are no replacement for my old pair of Phasers. I wore my phasers for years and bought these apples and Bananas. I'll use them for work and will keep my old phasers for hiking and hunting.

I loved everything about these boots, but they ripped on the inside a few months after I got them. I am reordering to see if we just got a fluke pair!?

Good ole Merrells. These are kind of a bland looking cross between a sneaker and a boot. They are waterproof, offer good traction and are roomy enough if you want to replace the insole with an orthotic. Only complaint would be that something is up with the stitching on the toe caps. It's secure, but there's a lot of stray threads that make it look like it's not. Not to worry though as a little walk in the mud made that problem disappear.

I have had these boots for just on three months and wear orthotics in them. I found them very comfortable on the fifteen or so day hikes I did over that period on mountain paths.
However, I have just returned from a 5-day hiking trail which included a lot of boulder clambering. The sole grip on the dry boulders was superb but by the third day the toe piece stitching was wearing through and had started to come adrift. Clearly the stitched edge of the rather narrow toe cap was catching on the boulders. For my next pair of boots I will look for a more substantial toe cap.

I purchased these boots in May for hunting this fall. I found them very comfortable even with my custom orthotics. Sadly an eye broke and I will not be purchasing them again because of this.

I sure the boot itself was fine although for me it was a bit too tight. The real reason I didn't want to hang onto it was the low cut. I couldn't tell from the picture that it was lower than the last pair I had.

These boots looked great but didn't quite fit as expected. A bit large and clunky for my taste. I love Merrell's trail gloves and I'm trying to find something with more protection..

As a package delivery driver I need a boot that will stay waterproof. After owning this boot for 3 weeks I can say that I come home with wet feet. I wish that didn't happen. Comfort isn't bad, but needs more waterproof protection. I want a different model or my money back

product clearly labeled as Merrel select grip on bottom but nothing listed in description. Just order a pair and I need to know before I can wear them safely. Mens Ridgepass mid boot are labeled same way but list it as oil and slip resistant M Select Grip 2 in description and I have worn those and know for a fact they are non slip.

I bought these and immediately loved them. Great comfort & kept my feet really warm. I wore them on and off over 4 months in south america, a bunch of different terrains and then -- the sides on both feet began to come apart from the sole, only 4 month of wear and they still looked like semi new shoes but were falling apart? they were not waterproof anymore and I was disappointed.
they should at least last a year or two.

Great boot but, every step squeaks and after 10 min it's quite annoying.

An impressive boot...looks great, felt great, right up until I put them on for the second time and the cloth eyelet pulled right out when I snugged up the laces. Then they became a pretty crappy boot.

Overall a comfortable shoe and very good looking. I was very pleased with the boots for the first month and a half. After that, I felt that my sock got a bit damp a couple of days of wearing them. Once that happened shortly after my socks would be soaked after wearing the boots in rainy weather.

I bought the women"s forestbound and found them to be very comfortable but not at all waterproof. My first day hike in them was in the snow, on a packed trail and my boots were soaked through by the end. On a positive note, my feet were warm!

Disappointed in these boots. Expected something more solid but these are like cheap hi-tec boots. Won't be able to hike with these since I can feel every rock and root.

I have never had any difficulty with Merrell boots before, but the insole in the left boot came off after the third hike and badly bruised my heel. Now the boots are unbalanced, useless, and they won't let me return then. But I will be returning the pair of Chameleon 8s now in transit and will be buying all my future boots/socks from ANY other company. It's really a shame. I have been talking Merrell boots up for years, but sadly no longer.

bought these for the rainy winter in Vancouver BC - as I needed a pair of warm, rainproof boots to walk to work and back.
But even in a 15 minute walk to the train station these boots are soaked and your socks will have wet spots in multiple areas.
I'm actually surprised how a boot like this can let this much water in.
A huge disappointment.
