I like these shoes. They fit well, are fashionable and comfortable. However, I feel they are overpriced. You can get virtually the same shoe for about 40-50% less than the retail price listed in a different brand. This is not a slam on the company as I have bought some of their other shoes with total satisfaction, but rather a opinion about their pricing on this item.

This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. The first day I wore them it was 30 degrees out with a layer of ice on ground. The Arctic XT sole is awesome and prevents slipping on ice extremely well. Only negative would be you have to use “optional” eyelet near tongue to prevent heel slip. They cinch up well and have taken all the abuse I have thrown at them so far. Awesome shoe!

Beautiful shoe but the heel felt like it was slipping off with every step and drove me nuts. Not sure the next size down would have worked as my toes were close to the toecap as is (and I've experienced the opposite issue (toes crunched) with other Merrell shoes). Too bad because I loved the way they looked.

I purchased these shoes for outdoor wintertime activities, the style is awesome and they are pretty comfortable but the sole marks up the wood floors in my house. And I don't mean a little scuff mark that comes right up, it literally marked through the finish on the floor and made permanent scuffs. I think it's due to the "Arctic Grip" Vibram sole made for ice. Thank goodness I noticed it after my first wear and took them off before I came back in the house.
