If you are the kind of person who likes to suffer for fashion, these are the shoes for you! Seriously, when I first took them out of the box it was like one of Cinderella's sisters stuffing her big ol' biscuits in shoes designed for a kitten. I could barely get them on! Sadly, I resolved to return them. The problem was I had an event to go to that night, and between work, getting a mani-pedi, and picking up my kids, I had one hour to buy shoes. DSW's selection wasn't so hot (sorry to throw shade on them BUT), and all I found was a pair of cute black pumps. Unfortunately, when I tried on my outfit -- black cocktail dress, black shoes, I looked like a very elegant widow at her sugar daddy's funeral. So I stuffed my feet into these red megawatt Steve Madden pumps, after bending and banging them like pointe shoes. They were magic! Like lipstick for the feet. Man, did my outfit pop! The thing was, it was like I had put my feet into a garlic press. I'm a dancer, which means I've made a career out of enduring pain in order to get the job done, and plus I'm super vain. Every ounce of suffering was worth it -- I got so many compliments. But lemme tell ya, it was sweet relief to pry off those shoes at the end of the night, shoes whose tagline should have been "Your momma said it hurts to be beautiful, and we finna prove it to your vain a$$." If you're going to buy these, I hope you have narrow feet. Order a size up. Or, figure out how to remove your little toe. Good luck!

Wow this shoe is tiny and stiff! I’m a 7.5 and just ordered an 8.5 because the 8 still required the removal of the top digit of my toes and removal of my pinky toe like the other review said. We shall see! These are not going to be comfortable though, even if my toes fit next size up.

Gorgeous shoe. Too painful to wear more than 10 minutes. Kept it because they’re so pretty. Will wear when I can be mostly off my feet.

Fit perfectly. However they were too high even for me. I am 5' on a good day. I always wear heels and tall ones. These are GORGEOUS and even prettier in person, but I couldn't walk down my hall in them. They were just too high. Like another person mentioned if you want to suffer - get these. Unfortunately I have to return them.

Based off reviews I sized up by a half size and I’m glad I did. Fit was perfect but they are not very comfortable. Look is perfect and the quality is great. Overall I’m definitely keeping them and hopefully they get more comfortable with time.

This shoe runs small. I normally wear a 7 1/2 and this shoe was snug.

After reading other reviews on this shoe, ladies, you and I completely agree. The shoes are gorgeous. I wear a 8.5. I ordered a 9. The shoes were still very snug. Indeed you will suffer when wearing these shoes. I have worn my with jeans in which the shoes were popping! :) Please order a size up and prepare for discomfort! lol But you will be cute honey! P.S Lol I ordered another pair in a different color. GO STEVE MADDEN!!!!!!

This shoe is gorgeous. Sexy. Amazing. 5 stars. For comfort tho. Omg. My foot hurt just standing in it for 30 seconds. I am a sucker for cute shoes tho. And I’ll be wearing these and enduring the foot pain. I don’t usually do that. But these are really really cute on. I had to stuff my foot in. And I’m a small girl. I may order a half size up just to see if they fit better. But just as others have said these are painful. Little to no support. And I can feel my heel is gonna hurt when I wear these for an evening. I can’t imagine who can put these on and walk around easily and comfortably. The look is great. The comfort is non existent. I don’t care. I’m keeping them and wearing them. Worth the pain!

I’ve tried three or four expensive, salon type heels and did not keep them, these were pretty much an immediate love. I have other Steve Madden shoes and I’m discovering I really like his shoes. I am sometimes an 8, but typically an 8.5 with a regular width foot, leaning more to wider than narrow. I still have some extra weight and I found these comfortable trying out in the house. I didn’t feel much slippage in the heel nor are they too tight. I’ll have to see how wearing them out goes as I haven’t done that yet.

These were more wine color than I thought they’d be. But they are sharp, and can be worn to dress up a pair of jeans (with dressy top), or to complement a formal outfit. They are a bit ok the tighter side. But I prefer that someone can break into them. Worth the purchase.

If you’re willing to cut off toes, these are the shoes for you. They are beautiful but I can’t wear these.

Contrary to posting, shoe is not leather. Heel felt like it would blister within 10 minutes, and arch support wasn’t adequate to support the 4.25 inch heel, at least for me. Very Attractive shoe, but pain is unfortunately the price for these.

Vala is not comparable in size to Steve Madsen’s Daisie pump. If you wear a 9 in Daisie, buy a half size up in Vala. I typically wear a 9, but the 9.5 fits perfectly!

I purchased the Gold and Black version of these shoes and I wore them on Friday, April 8th, 2022, along with my ensemble of wardrobe which was a black, sequined dress with gold stars and a black, double-breasted blazer with gold buttons. They are simply gorgeous and they were perfect! Even before I received them, I was struck by their beauty and knew they would go well with my choice of attire for that day. They are very well made and were comfortable (even while wearing them on concrete). These shoes will accentuate any outfit that you choose to wear and I very highly recommend them for purchase and use. Enjoy! I certainly did.
