Fits great

I love these boots. I have been a long-time fan of Dr. Martens. I have a pair of boots that are over 25+ years old and have stood the test of time. I look forward to breaking these in. If you are a half-size, I would size down . But I plan to wear thick socks and get the docs insole for support.

I haven’t worn these outdoors yet, but they feel fabulous out of the box. They seem slightly smaller (as in more narrow) than the usual DM UK7/US9. The very thin insert comes out so my orthotics fit in them. The leather is high gloss, but not patent, & on the stiffer side; might need a bit of break-in around the ankles. 1 buckle is brass colored & the others are black. I would like the design even more if all the buckles were silver. They are keepers, for sure.

Easy to adjust the straps and buckles for the perfect fit. Wore them an entire day, working, errands and walking the dog with absolutely no pain. Highly recommend.

I love Doc Martens and I have a few pairs at home already. I was looking for another fall/winter boot option to add to my stash. Unfortunately, this boot looks cheap right out of the box. The material is thick and plastic looking. Also, if you have thicker, muscular calves, these boots will not fit you. Even with the buckles undone I could not get the shaft closed over my calf. Disappointed.

I still love the style but I agree with the other review and don’t believe that these are leather as stated :/ I’ve owned stiff leather boots before and am familiar with the break in period, but these don’t feel like that. Just plastic-y when I tried them on and I don’t trust they’ll get much better. Very disappointed .. and all the more glad I bought from Zappos since they are awesome and I know this will be a super easy return.
