It’s a great looking shoe, just NOT black. It’s definitely dark green. If you’re looking for a black shoe then don’t order this.

I've been wearing vans for years. So when I seen these, I figured I'd give them a shot. For the extra money and the change of appearance in sole, these are not worth it. They are definitely not slip resistant and the tops are not waterproof as they state. The only thing I can honestly say that I like about these shoes is the cush insole. Although I've never had problems with wearing vans all day working, these don't feel good in the slightest. I'll be sticking with the original style of vans from here on out.

These shoes fit as expected, have great slip resistance, and are so comfortable for bartending long shifts!

Very comfortable for all day use. Outsole was significantly grippier than other Vans shoes.

I had a few issues with these shoes. Every pair of Vans I’ve ever owned I bought in a size women’s 8. These shoes felt a full half size bigger or more to the point that they were flopping off my feet and I had to tie them very tightly. They’re definitely off-black and I wore them for one bar shift and stained them. I dont know how you stain black shoes but it happened. I ended up brushing on concentrated black RIT dye and like the color a whole lot more. But paying $80 for shoes I don’t want to have to do that. I usually purchase all of my shoes secondhand and it was a big bummer that I treated myself to these shoes after my promotion and they didn’t seem worth the price tag. I do like that they’re nonslip, which is a very important factor in buying work shoes, but they’re absolutely not as water resistant as they state and they’re only slightly more comfortable than regular Vans. I would have returned these shoes but they were so trashed after working one shift I couldn’t do so in good conscience. They’re now my backup work shoes and I’ll never stray from my ugly Dansko clogs again. If you work service industry I would not recommend these shoes.
I'd also recommend:
Dansko

I am a line cook and I had bought the slip ons a year and a half ago. They were great and I never had a problem with slipping in the busy kitchen I work in. and I wore them a couple months after I had worn holes in the heels. I decided to get another pair but these are not the same. They feel great and grippy on other floors but the second I was behind the line or in water I was scared I was going to fall. I'm not sure if they changed them or what's going on but as someone that is on their feet all day- I love how comfortable they are for everyday use but I wouldn't recommend if you are in wet, greasy, environments.

I am a chef and on my feet all day. The first couple of months they felt great but then the bottoms started to crumble and now I have a giant hole in the bottom making them impossible to wear. You would think a shoe designed for my line of work they would hold up especially after 5 months and considering the price point.

As a mechanic, I work amongst large messes from time to time and these were are a stylish lifesaver. The Made For Makers 1.0 admittedly wore out pretty fast but the 2.0's are holding strong at right around the one year mark. Especially impressive when you consider the amount of chemicals they get exposed to. Wish they didn't DISCONTINUE THEM! 5 stars though

Literally the best most comfiest shoe. Out of all the shoes I had worn when I was working restaraunts, this was the only one that was actually really slip resistant and was comfortable through 10 hour shifts 6 days a week day in and day out. If I still worked a job where I could wear these, I would buy them again.

This is my second pair of vans, the first one being a classic white pair. I'm blown away by how comfortable these are, and if they're truly as durable as they claim to be I will definitely be buying these again. Worth the extra $30 more than the classics.

Love these shoes so much. Most other shoes hurt my feet after a long day, but these keep me comfy. The description says something about water-repelling? No. And they do wear out in under a year, which is a bummer. I always get holes in the toes. I wish they had the toe cap, and I wish they made a vegan high top version.

I'm a mechanic and need a comfortable slip resistant shoe. These are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Not exactly the most durable shoes as I run through about two pairs a year, but being a mechanic they go through very harsh conditions. I'm going to keep buying these for as long as vans makes them.

I can wear these for 12 hours without any issues. I've bought 2 pairs over 3 years so I feel like they last pretty good. My feet are happy

Basically the pair of vans I've always wanted, I just wish they were more affordable. The non slip isn't the best but I think it's also meant for gripping outdoors, but they have saved me on a few occasions. I would like if they could keep the tread, but make them work better for kitchen/bars, as well as skateboarding. I work in a bar and these things outlast anything I've used before. The water resistance is a huge plus. My coworkers complain when they're feet get soaked and I've forgotten what that's like at this point. The color might start out greenish when you first get them, but after a week the color will darken. After a year of breaking them in they get a nice grey/brown color. I keep my old ones as house/errand shoes and use new pairs for work. The cushions feel amazing on my heels. I've worn fresh pairs out to dinner, and old pairs out cycling. It's a pretty versatile shoe. Also looks a bit more mature than the classic black/white plimsole. I've never actually had to get rid of a pair. They take a beating at work, and have a layer of alcohol on them after a few months, which is around when I buy a new pair. The vans water proofer spray is a nice addition. Anyways, as long as they keep making them I'll keep buying them.

I ordered these for work because I needed something slip-resistant and comfortable. After doing some research I settled upon Vans. I have had several pairs of vans within the past 4 years and have yet to be let down by their quality and durability as an everyday shoe. I wasn't disappointed by these. I've only had them for a few weeks but they are incredibly comfortable for the days that I'm on my feet all day at work and still go well with my uniform. They are MOSTLY slip-resistant. Occasionally, if the water levels are too much it'll get slippery but minor spills don't bother me too much. Sometimes it's feels like they don't exactly get the grip I need but I'm careful around wet surfaces anyways because my anxiety screams otherwise. My favorite part about these shoes is the fact that they are waterproof too. I work with drinks a lot so there's lots of times I'll accidentally get a beverage on my shoes. It's so nice not to have to worry about getting them stained or my socks getting wet. 10/10 solid shoe for if you're on your feet all day, definitely will order again once's these wear out.

Bought these for my son when he was working in AZ restaurants early 2022; he moved back to NC and continued to wear these shoes until he wore them out. He recently requested another pair as they have better cushioning than regular Vans. Great product with style.

I love how comfortable they are. Vans should change the sole though. I slip in them occasionally. But at least they look stylish not like other work shoes that have that old lady vibe. They only last about 3 months though when you use them a lot. But I don't care. These are my favorite work shoes. Please don't discontinue them as they are not available in some stores anymore.
