I love these shoes, they are so comfortable. They seem like they will last quite a while. Easy to put on for high tops. I will definitely buy more in the future!

I'm a restaurant manager and I like these shoes very much. Still need to break them in but I am happy so far. I have had them for less than a week.

I manage a kitchen/BOH 8 to 12 hours a day and am on my feet and moving a lot, I have also had a lot of injuries in my life and typically deal with a considerable amount of pain, these shoes definitely help to minimize that pain. I grew up wearing Vans and racing BMX, didn't have a clue they made non-slip work shoes. Was extremely excited when I found these while looking for new work shoes.

It's pretty disappointing these don't come with the pop cush insole. My friend found a new "used" pair of vans skate with the pop cush, infinitely better shoe now. I'd rather have the pop cush over the non slip. Next time.

So I've used these shoes for a couple months now and I like them. They're a nice style to go with my uniform. They get get soaked and still be perfectly fine. They have a nice support for when I'm on my feet for hours on end. But my main problem comes when after a couple shifts I start become more prone to slipping! All the dirt and food builds up quickly and makes the slip-resistant basically cancel out. I started to realize this early on so luckily I didn't have any accidents but I did have a couple close calls. If you're going to buy these shoes just make sure to clean out the build up on the bottoms. I usually use something somewhat thin that can get between the pattern so like an old pencil that I'll never use or even a stick I found in the yard. But they are nice shoes. And I'd buy them again

The shoes themselves are great but I thought I was getting completely black shoes but they're actually dark green and black. I still like them just not what I was expecting

I've got over two weeks of working in them so I think now is a decent time to review. Initial break-in took about 3 days. Fit runs small and narrow - I can't wear two pairs of regular socks or my thickest wool socks comfortably. Left shoe feels alright but snug, right heel feels like it locates too far inboard. If I get another pair I'll go up half a size. Non-slippage works as well as other nonslips I've owned. 10,000x more grippy than regular Vans on a wet surface. This is my first pair of Hi's so I don't know if this is normal, but at size 11 I have to unlace the shoe halfway to get it on/off, which is way more than is normal IMO. Annoying, but I really only put them on/take them off once a day so I can deal. I usually wear boots with hooked eyelets so I'm not used to spending this much time putting on/taking off shoes. The canvas on the side of the shoe is the most bleach-sensitive textile I've ever seen. If you work with bleach in any capacity, these shoes WILL show spots immediately. The suede portion does not have this problem. These are work shoes and this isn't a big deal to me but it was unexpected. Not really sure why there's elastic bands pulling the tongue down to the insole.

I've had these shoes for a little over a year now and they are great. They are comfortable and work as advertised. The only problem I had is after a few months the sides started to rip and the adhesive slightly peeled. The should wore down a fair amount but still were nonslip. Now the are practically unwearable as the sole is falling out. Granted these shoes get worn and abused at least 70 hrs a week by me. Even with the flaws I just ordered another pair because the comfort and effectiveness.

These shoes provide the comfort I expected from comfy cush and are my preferred shoe as a busser having to lift a large trays full of plates. However the side panel is actually more of a green than black. I had to apply some fabric dye in order to be approved by my manager but not a dealbreaker. The bottom of the sole is not as slip resistant though. Just walk carefully through wet areas but it's a shame I can't fully rely on them to prevent a slip.

Super comfy & slip resistant. I work in a bar. Just purchased my second pair. I also wear an insert with these because I have ridiculously high arches. Only 4 stars because the color of the canvas is a slightly greenish-grey black and doesn't match the rest of the shoe. Vans, please reissue the leather ones!

These shoes are very comfortable all day. They run a little small I'm a size 7 or 7 1/2 and a size 8 fits perfectly. I made cuts with a knife on the soles to help them be more slip resistant and it worked well. I walk in and out of kitchens all the time and there holding up for now. These are not as durable as other shoes I've bought in the past but I would buy them again for the comfort and style. There also not a pure black they seem like a dark green on the canvas part.

I really wanted these for work, which is fast food. The black is faded. So comfortable though, I love Vans! So these will just be my street shoes.

Great look, comfy, but definitely not slip resistant to most liquids including water. Not recommend for kitchen work.

I bought these shoes for my serving job. They are extremely comfortable and stylishwhich is hard to find. But they are HOT! i do work outside on the bay in Florida, just not meant for this element

better for not as slippery jobs not for places with waxed and polished floors
