I've been looking for the perfect personal item carry on for several years. I've tried other small backpacks but they always left me wanting more. I owned 3 other Timbuk2 products and reviewed several YouTube descriptions on both the Division and Authority backpacks along with several other products. I finally decided on the Authority for its fewer compartments and its larger main compartment for taking a jacket or sweater and it still fits easily under the seat in front of me. Great zippers, quality material, and great understated looks. Love the strong pass through which fits easily and firmly on my rolling carry on. I just finished a week long business trip back east and I'm really happy with my purchase.

I love this backpack and use it to carry my laptop, cords, wallet, glasses, etc., back and forth to work. It is too small, though, to bring it on a plane. I do not have enough room for my headphones - or for any files. Could it be a little bit bigger? Or could there be two sizes?

everyday use

I gave this bag as a gift. I was a bit worried as it appeared slightly small when I first opened the package. My husband loves the size of this back. He said it is comfortable, and he appreciates that it looks clean and sleek compared to other larger, bulkier bags.

I need to have the size of my backpack limit how much I stuff into it. This carries everything I really need and still fits comfortably under the seat in front of me. It has clean, professional looking lines, and good interior organization. Looking forward to using this backpack for a long time.

I researched for the perfect laptop bag for work and found it. Well thought out for storage options. Nice materials that look really cool . I replaced an eBags backpack as a result of needing updated and this will surpass the 8 year use.

I bought this backpack to replace my shoulder bag / briefcase for professional settings. It's perfect for that. Compact, tight, looks and feels high quality, perfect amount of space and well-designed. I recently went on a personal trip out of state and couldn't help but bring my "work backpack" instead of the one I've always used for travel. I love this backpack.

Bought this for travel because it was waterproof and took it to Lapland Finland for its first trial run. Kept my laptop warm despite -17c temps. High recommend!

The backpack is roomy and can hold many of my personal and company items like water bottles, laptop, folders, wallet etc.

I use my backpack as a portable office. I keep it loaded with travel essentials like plugs, converters, chargers and cables, as well as glasses cleaners, stain removers, painkillers, and the like. I just drop in my laptop and travel thermos and I'm good to go.

Love it, after 2 years, it's still in amazing shape, looks brand new, and I use it every day for school, I even used it as my maternity bag, 100% would recommend, love the blue colour too

I use this versatile backpack for my commute to work & travel. Sadly, my previous backpack was stolen on one of my trips, but I loved it so much that I bought it again. I was glad to see they added a couple of features that made the backpack even better than before, including a strap that allows it to attach to my rolling luggage handle.
