I was so very much looking forward to this jacket. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the fit was way too tight in the upper arms and shoulders. Body and arm length sizing was spot-on, but the jacked pinched in the armpits with any movement and I was worried I would rip the arms off with normal climbing or biceps flexing activity.
Secondary to that, I ordered the dark clay color based on the online image. I was surprised to find the bottom of the back panel and lower quarter of the arms was a totally different color than the rest of the coat. This multicolor design was obvious with the turquoise version but was not noticeable for the other colors available on the website. Not a deal breaker by any means, just unexpected.
Sadly I must return this otherwise lovely product, sizing up would be too big in the core.

this lightweight hoodie packs down to nothing so it's great for travel or throwing in your backpack. I am 5 foot 11 140#'s and the sleeves are long enough and fit is great for wearing over another layer or two without added bulk. i bought the M in the jacket and S in the matching pants. looks nice enough to run to market or lounge apres ski. i'm obsessed!!!

Love this jacket. It's extremely light weight and provides the perfect temperature for me. So comfy!
Bought it because 3 different people recommended it to me when I was searching for a new coat. The hood is a must.
Regular fit.

Warm, comfortable, true to size. This is my second ghost whisperer I purchased so I could have one with a hood and one without. Very impressed with the quality and loving this vibrant blue.

This jacket exceeded expectation. I wanted it because Miranda Goes Outside (YouTube) really raved about and for good reason. It is the lightest jacket I have ever seen, so comfortable and beyond warm! Had it on this weekend in minus 25 and was warm. Amazing.

This jacket is everything I wanted in a lightweight down jacket. I have used it repeatedly for snowshoeing and hiking in the winter. It is a fantastic jacket as a standalone or with a layer underneath or on top. I highly recommend it.

So there I was, outdoor climbing on a dry November day in 2019, freezing as always.
A buddy let me borrow his coat, which happened to be a men's Ghost Whisperer. I hadn't known that a coat could leave you feeling warm, like really, truly cozy in the outdoor elements.
I bought one that same day. It is now 2023 and I wear this coat most days in Fall, Winter, and Spring in the PNW. (Heavy usage)
I wear it backpacking, snowboarding, hiking, and when I am working at my barista job and while working my outdoor job as a rec guide. It somehow regulates temperature really well, I do not often sweat in it. Since it seems like it would tear easily, I typically wear it as an insulating layer, with something over it, and it has held up remarkably well. Just this year, I got my first tear in it and I put my first proud patch on it. Side note: in my 3+ years of owning it, I have washed it twice. It smells fine and it looks brand new. :)
The only drawback I see in this coat is a personal one. I bought this coat in the bright orange color. (To be fair, the women's colors were not as cool as the men's). This is my only regret as it is made with such quality that I know this coat will last me at least 10 more years, if not my whole life. That means I unknowingly condemned myself to a life of bright orange. It was a bold choice, certainly a statement. Word of advice: Think about the quality and longevity of this item and really ask yourself, do you want to wear this color for the rest of your life??
For size reference, I am 5'4, 127 lb, and the women's small size fits perfectly. I can wear a layering long sleeve underneath, but a sweatshirt underneath fits a little more snug than I prefer.
I did have to roll the sleeves up because they were approximately 2 inches too long. (Short arms for me, I guess.
Anyways, best coat. I love Mountain Hardware, and I am always trying to convince my friends to get a Ghost Whisperer. You should probably buy this coat.

I love it! It's surprisingly warm and light. Perfect for spring and fall on it's own and for layering in winter.

I love this jacket; it fits well and is warm, yet lightweight. It is roomy enough to layer under it. I like the colour and the jacket feels nice on.

Definitely not the color I was expecting from the photos, and I waffled on if I'd keep it, but it'll be super visible in the mountains this winter! I'm 5'3" and 125 lbs and the S fits me perfectly.

Love the color and how lightweight it is! It's my go to jacket for climbing, daily wear, and anytime I need an extra layer. I usually wear an xs and this jacket in an xs fits great.

Love it. I am a 5.3" 110lb and very skinny upper body. I order size S and XS would be the best fit. I keep S because I wear comfy size sweater often in winter time as usual so I can wear it when I hang out with friend or easy camping trip.

Really light and seems very well made. I was worried about the fit after reading some reviews online, but it fits me great! I'm 5'6" and 143lbs and athletic build. Looking forward to wearing this on my thru hike this summer.

Pretty thin shell, but I guess that makes it super light. I often wear this while biking in late winter/early spring weather. It's warm enough. It's also a good windbreaker and water repellent jacket. So far so good!

I have had an older version of this jacket for years, and it is my absolute favorite. It has come with me to the top of Mt Whitney to desert in Mojave. The hood is clutch, so I def recommend going that route. Light. Packable. Warm. If you do brush up against some cactus or sharp rock, they will win, but it is easy to remedy with some duct tape. Price you pay for adventure, while keeping the weight light.

Great fit and function. Really well-made, not a stray thread anywhere. Super light and warm. Looking forward to pairing it with a light rain cover as needed on the trail. I am 5'8" and178 lbs. and an XL fits me well with some room to spare to layer under the jacket, including a little room across the bust area which is often a problem area for me to fit.

I have broad shoulders so ordered the medium and it fits way better than I was hoping for!! Super comfortable and fits my shoulders without every other part of the jacket being too big.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This is a really nice jacket overall but for me would be a base layer. I do not need a base layer so I am returning. Fits TTS with enough room for a thin to medium sweater underneath. This is at least my experience. I tested it once outside when it was about freezing (28-32 degrees) temperature and it did not keep me warm even with a cashmere sweater underneath. I could still feel the chill. I retested when it was 44 degrees F and it kept me mildly warm.

Warm and lightweight, replacing my Marmot highlander that finally wore out. Unlike the REI Magma (which my ENTIRE family wears), there's no chest pocket, so I look quite pear-shaped when I carry my wallet, keys, etc only in my side pockets. And there's higher chance of those items falling out. For the cost, I would expect this little feature. Otherwise, good fit, and comfortable in 30-45 deg weather
