This was a horrible shoe for me. I couldn’t stand in these at the office because there was no support whatsoever. Very uncomfortable. They were also way too narrow even though these were advertised as extra wide. Another disappointment. And something I thought was extreme silly was the loop on the back of the shoes. It was very big and felt like something that would get caught easily on anything and make me trip. I cut them off right away. I can’t recommend these at all.

I need to revise my October 17 review, in which I gave these 4 stars and said they seemed a bit loose in the heel. That was based on walking around the neighborhood and in the dog park -- level surfaces. Last weekend, I wore them on a couple of trail hikes. Nothing difficult, but places where the trail sloped left or right, and stretches with rocks. I thought my heels were going to pop out of the shoes, and I feel lucky I didn't come home with a twisted ankle. I would no longer recommend them.

I've had several pairs of the 669 v1, and these are about the same. But I think they're looser in the heel, in case you have narrow heels. The loop at the back is extra large, which makes it more useful for putting them on, but a bit dorky if you're buying for style.

Fit well, but no arch support at all. I had to return them.

I need arch support and could not even feel the bottom of the shoe. No arch support.

This shoe was a size and a half too small. I usually take a 7, but the 7.5 I ordered was way too small. I'll try an 8, but may have to go up to an 8.5

I stopped buying NB 4 years ago due to comfort issues, but wanted to give them another shot. These failed too. Wish I could return them. The back of the shoe slips on the inside heal part. It’s convenient to kick the shoe off without untying, but feels a little unstable the rest of the time. After using these shoes for 1 week, I started getting severe pain in the knuckle of my big toe. Took them to a running store only to find out that the design of the shoe was causing my foot pain because it lacks the proper arch support I need, causing me to land harder on the inside of my foot. If you have any type of arch issue that requires very supportive, thick or high arches, stay away from these.

This model runs small so consider getting a size to a size and a half up. Other than that, they look and feel great.

I'm very satisfied with this Shoe, I bought it for the purpose of being a Outdoor/Work Shoe & I'm very impressed with overall Build Quality & Comfort. It's a bit more rugged vs a regular walking Shoe but still very comfortable, also the Laces are very good Quality You don't need to Tie them every 15 min like some Shoes on the Market today. Solid 10/10 from Me this Shoe shines in every aspect I was hoping for beautiful craftsmanship coming from New Balance.

I use these shoes for work, walking around town and hiking trails. Great fit and extra wide so the seams don't rip apart on me.

The first time I tried a New Balance Shoe was in Anchorage, Alaska in 2006. Fit was perfect which, is hard to find for a size 15-M person. We drove 287 miles, one way, to go to the only shoe store we were aware of and, it was well worth the drive! And, as you can see, we are still with New Balance now in 2022 in Washington and happy to be their client, no matter where we live!

I use the shoes for walking on my dirt and gravel driveway. They have great support, good offroad traction and are comfortable.

Veery comfortable from Day One, as usual w/New Balance. I do miss the waterproof advantage, but this is certainly a good substitute.

Im a starter at a golf course and many times I must run around to keep things on time. I've gone through some ECCO's and heavy soled LLBEANS, but these comfy fit NB's are lighter are much more comfortable than the others. I just wish they came in slip ons.

I am pretty pleased with the purchase so far. I found the shoe to be comfortable on long walks, with a stiff sole, which is desirable considering my foot issues. Reasonably lightweight for a trail shoe, and a snug fit. After reading the reviews on sizing and fit, I went with a half-size larger than my usual, and they fit just right

I had a stroke 11 years ago, so use new balance shoes all the time. I will wear These suede brown "hiking" and walking shoes in London and a tour in the country- because they look more formal then most new balance shoes.

Seam like great shoes. My son has been happy with his last 5 pairs of NB shoes and these look like they will also be great!! He is 14 so out growing most pairs before they fall apart!!

These New Balance shoes have become my everyday footwear. I like the look and feel. The only downside is that the laces don't easily stay tied.

Go 1/2 size larger and one size wider. Nice looking (wouldn't call them hiking shoes). Expect a year or so of normal wear
