I was pretty excited to try these out because I have been going through shoes like a crazy person. Between crossfit/heavy weight training and run(sandbag, vest, varied terrain) I've been through 3 pairs of shoes this year. I've stuck with the NB minimus style for the last year or so and have found those are the most comfortable for me. I've usually stuck with the 10v1 for the comfort of a barely there shoe. The prevails are so close to being perfect in what I would love in a shoe that can do all the things I want in it. The shoe is a bit tight width wise and it feels like there are some pressure points that are being caused on the bottom of the foot and the sides. I may have to order another pair and pick the wide size and see what it's like. The eyelets HAVE to be remedied in the next version. I've used them maybe a week or 2 and it already looks like the laces are cutting through the eyelets. They do take some time to break in which sucked but overall the comfort is there. As far as lifting goes, they're perfect! Can't say enough good things about them. They keep the heel solid and tight to the floor, nice and sticky soles that seem to grip everything, other than dewy or wet grass in the morning. I hope NB stays with this line of shoes but tweaks them a little bit everytime.
I'd also recommend:
Van's, Chucks, Inov8

New Balance tends to deliver on plus size shoes, and this is no exception. I wear a size 16 and the flexible construction does not pinch over the toe box or fit awkward in other aspects. It has been sturdy for lunges, lifting and other standard moves. I would suggest the heel be a bit more locked in for things such as mountain climbers, but otherwise it performs well on the exercises I like a minimum shoe for while also not being uncomfortable to walk in and out of the gym.

I’m 5’9” 197lbs 12% body fat and have been weightlifting for 4 years. This is a lifting/CrossFit type shoe for sure! The fit and size were true to ASICS and Nikes that I’ve worn. The sole is a bare Vibram sole, so if you have arch problems, this shoe isn’t for you. I need minimal arch support, so this shoe is perfect. This shoe provides INSANE stability for squats, Bulgarian split squats, weighted step ups, jumping, and lateral weighted moves. The material feels like Kevlar.... it’s bulletproof tough. I beat the hell out of them, and they feel softer and more stable each time!

Finally found a comfortable crossfit shoe for my wide feet (I've tried everything---Nanos, Metcons, Innov-8, and many more). I have Morton's Neuroma, so width, space, and a good arch support are critical, and these are the only crossfit shoe I could find that comes in a wide width. I could have down-rated these shoes for the lack of any real arch support (and for being so crazy off-size--I usually wear an 11.5 or 12), but I needed to put an orthotic in it anyway, and the comfort is so wonderful now that I felt compelled to give 5 stars across the board. That being said, I haven't worked out in them yet, so I'll come back and update this review if they don't hold up in the workout.

I was really excited to get my new New Balance Prevail's in the mail. The look on these shoes is spectacular. I haven't had a set of kicks for a long time that I enjoyed the style this much. I ordered WIDE as I do have very wide feet and I was expecting with the brand New Balance they would be definitely wide enough, but they did fit just a bit more snug than I hoped. I assume with a few weeks of breaking them in they will fit just right though. Arch support is great and overall value seems worth the price.

I had a pair of the New Balance Minimus shoes for years, and when it came time to replace them, I naturally went to get another pair. These are great shoes to train in, however, probably not designed for serious runners. (which I am not). Great all around shoe.

I bought these shoes to workout in specifically. They're really good for weight lifting, such as deadlift, and squat exercises, because of the firm sole

I bought this shoe a couple weeks ago and have worn them working out at home a few times. After just a few uses they are breaking in nicely and should work well for my needs. Mainly as a gym shoe and cross-trainer.

Had to replace a pair of original Minimus (probably about 5-6 years old), and the new Prevails are as comfortable as my old ones (which I'm still wearing). I like the fit: snug but not tight, and a feeling of stability during my HIT workouts. I love them. Probably going to order another pair!

Best training shoes I have ever had. Firm sole for lifting, can actually move around easily in them. Not really great for running but the nice low heel makes them great for anything else.

Very comfortable. Like they way the look and feel. Ordered my usual New Balance size and they were the right fit. These have been great for weight lifting and training, although have only used them a few times so far. We will see how they hold up.

use at the guy & just basic knocking around, not a bunch of support but that's what you get with a Minimus I ordered another pair in a different color but I wish there were more offers in my size 12 1/2 W

Love the comfort of these shoes. I use them for CrossFit 5 days a week. Great for squatting, double unders and the best for running. Sometimes the mesh uppers feel a little loose. My favorite NB trainers are the Minimus 40 but cant find them anymore. If these had the same upper material as the minimus 40 they would be the perfect shoe. Still the best CrossFit shoe on the market though!
