It feels like you are being hugged by a nice blanket. Excited to use it as a mid layer for some hiking.

Someone gave me this jacket when I moved to New Hampshire. Thank God they did, because I had nothing fit for the weather up here. I paired it with the high loft vest, and that was enough to keep me warm in the winter without my parka.

Love the High Loft. Keeps you super cozy, but also breathes better than any other fleece I've tried. Great for high country hikes, chilly camp mornings, and winter fly fishing. I pair mine with an Exposure Parka for a bombproof combo.

This is the second purchase of this fleece for me. I had purchased one for my wife & myself many years ago. I have had many other brands since then but none are as nice as this one. So I had to buy another one. I think it is the best fleece out there if you want warmth from the cold. This fleece blocks wind better than any other fleece.

This is a warm jacket, so long as there is no strong wind. Wear a shell or windbreaker and you'll be cozy.

Absolutely LOVE this jacket. It's a throwback to the Monkey Man fleeces of years past.
Fit is great. Look is great. Super comfy and warm.
I wear it as a mid layer on cold days and just over a shirt when out and about in cold weather.
I'm 6' 2", 250 (maybe more at times) and the XXL fits perfectly.
Get it well you can, and you'll be happy you did.

This jacket is super light weight and super warm. I live in the south where it'll be freezing in the morning and very comfortable by midday. The sleeves are easily pulled up to give more breath ability and keep your core warm. Very light weight and flexibility is no problem. It's not as furry as the old monkey man jacket, but better. Wind will sometimes pierce through, but otherwise a great go to in chilly to cold weather. As long as your dog doesn't eat your zipper it's very durable.

This thing is super warm and comfy. Feels super soft. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 is the zipper is the smaller lighter type of zipper. I was hoping for a burly zipper like lots of other mountain hardwear products have. I'm 6', 165 lbs, 42" chest, 34" arms, and got a large. The fit is great, little loose and comfy, but definitely the right size.

I have been wearing the monkey man jacket for almost two decades. Name change must have been on of those cancel culture deals.
The new jacket really doesn't fit anything like the old monkey man jacket. I have every color made from the 300 weight and 200 weight versions from the past 20 years. The monkey man jacket holds up to anything you can throw at it. I wear these to work in my office to keep warm. I even switched CPA firms 10 years ago because my old boss wouldn't let me wear them over my shirt and tie.... even on Saturdays. I don't wear a tie anymore.
The fit on the new jacket feels like the old ones after they stretched out quite a bit. Too bad for that, but at least they still make something similar. Hope they go back to the sporty fit they used to have.

Little long in the sleeves. Very very warm almost two warm. This is a pretty well made jacket. The zippers are not that great. I don’t think it’s worth the high price.

Compared to the older models the fleece is thinner and piles easier. The inside is backed by mesh vs spandex from the older models. It's "OK" but the older models are far superior.

I have an older version of this fleece in my closet that I grew out of. These new jackets feel thin and cheap right out of the packaging. I knew it before I opened the mailer just by the weight of the envelope. Fit is large and baggy. A small fits but is still loose on me @ 5'10" 152 lbs. Warmth is "ok" but like I mentioned nowhere near the older versions. It feels like I am going to rip it apart by normal use.wear and tear. .

According to the chart and other Mountain Hardwear tops I have, I ordered a Large. It's very baggy everywhere, except it is weirdly short. I'm an average build at 5'11", so it's strange that it would fit so wide and short.
